Summary: Henry received a note in his school locker that claims to know that he's Kid Danger and is taking him down in 3 days. He has to keep it a secret in order to protect everyone he cares about.

Henry's POV

School has just finished and I'm currently walking to my locker to put back my books. I scanned my thumbprint on my locker then opened it to find a note.

"What the heck?" I muttered to myself.

I read the note and it says:

Hello, Henry Hart. Or should I say, Kid Danger. I hacked through the Man Cave computers and I know everything about you.

You have been making crimes too hard to commit with you by Captain Man's side, and it's time for that issue to go away. This week, I will find you and take you down. If you tell anyone including Captain Man or your friends, they will die with you. You have 3 days left to live.

Use the time you have left wisely.

I read it over and over again and beg that I'm only hallucinating but in the back of my head, I know that I'm not.

I became terrified, I'm gonna die in 3 days! I'm only 14 for crying out loud! I have a lot of things to look up to in the future!

"Hey Hen, how goes it?" Jasper greeted

"Ready to head to Junk N' Stuff?" Charlotte asked.

I folded the note and placed it in my pocket without making Charlotte and Jasper notice then took a deep breath before forcing a smile facing them.

"Hey guys. Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go." I replied.

We started our journey to Junk N' Stuff while Jasper walked the same direction back home, I sighed. What should I do about this situation....?

~Time skip~

There is no crimes at the moment which is good and we're all lounging around the Man Cave (Including Schwoz) waiting for the crime light to-

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

There it is...

Charlotte looked at the monitor and read the emergency.

"There's a hostage situation in Nacho Ball on Avenue street." Charlotte reported.

"Suit up, Kid." Ray demanded.

"Got it." I replied.

I got up from the couch and stood next to Ray who's popping a gumball in his mouth. I grabbed my gumball tube and did the same.

"Let's chew some gum and fight some scum." I rhymed.

"Nice one." Ray responded.

We blew a bubble then it popped and a few seconds later, I'm in my Kid Danger uniform and Ray is in his Captain Man uniform.

We went to the tubes then tapped our belt buckle.

"Good luck." Schwoz said.

"Stay safe." Charlotte said.

"Will do." I replied.

"Up the tube!"

~Time skip~

"Alright! what's going on here?" Captain Man yelled to get everyone's attention.

"It's Captain Man and Kid Danger!" A person yelled.

There were mummers of relief, until the criminal pointed a gun at the ceiling and shot it a dozen of times.

"Shut up!" The criminal yelled.

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to put the gun down." I told him.

"Words are not gonna stop me, Kid Danger." The criminal replied, harshly.

Ray and I sighed, we know that they won't listen if we calmly tell them to.

"Look, we can either do this the easy way or the hard way." Ray told the criminal.

He suddenly aimed a gun towards a girl.

"You know what? I choose the hard way." The criminal said.

The people gasped including Ray.

I normally would be afraid to stand up to anyone like this but... wait.... I'm gonna die in three days anyway! If death is coming for me... then let's just say, one criminal doesn't seem so scary any more.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" I yelled.

I immediately ran to the criminal and jumped on him, tackling him.

"Kid Danger! No!" I hear Ray yell at the distance.

I could feel his fists and feet attacking me but I managed to grab his gun and threw it across the room. He continued throwing kicks and punches at me. He was distracted enough so I grabbed my lazer and zapped him.

When I did, he immediately fell unconscious. I pushed him off me. I groaned as I immediately felt soreness all over my body. Nothing is bleeding though so that's a good sign.

I look up and saw Ray who took his hand out, helping me stand up. I lost my balance so I fell back down but Ray caught me before I do so.

"Woah. You okay, Kid?" I hear Ray ask.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Maybe sore but it's fine." I replied.

I got out of Ray's grip and balanced myself.

"Good. Now, what were you thinking?! You could've got seriously hurt!" Ray exclaimed.

"I'm sorry! I couldn't just stand there letting a little girl get shot!" I replied.

"Let's just untie the hostages." Ray said.

I nodded then started walking towards the hostages. I started to untie everyone. Everyone kept thanking me. But when I untied the girl, she immediately gave me a hug. I knelt to her height then hugged her too.

"Thanks for saving my life Kid Danger." The girl said.

"No problem." I responded.

We broke the hug and I stood up back to my height, another lady ran by me.

"Yes, thank you for saving my daughter." The lady said as she hugged her daughter and kissed her forehead.

"I'm just doing my job." I shrugged.

Ray walked by me.

"If there's one thing that everyone should know," Ray said then reached his arm around me in a half hug, "it's that I have a very brave sidekick."

Ray smiled at me, and I smiled back.

"Thanks, Captain Man." I replied.

I faced the citizens and employees.

"Now, carry on." I told everyone.

We tied up the criminal then dragged him along with us to the Man Van so we could take him to Swellview prison.

As we leave, multiple people kept thanking Ray and I, but especially me. And the employees gave us free nacho balls and sodas to take, I resisted but they insisted. Uh... that rhyme was accidental. Anyway, we accepted the gifts at the end.

To be honest, I felt proud of myself for that.

~Time skip~

"I AM NOT OKAY!!!" Piper yelled as she stomped to the living room.

"Why? What's wrong, Pipes?" I asked.

I got to admit, I feel bad for Piper. It's like I've been ignoring her too much, that doesn't mean I can't change that now.

"Don't act like you care." Piper stated, "You never care..."

Most of that's not true. I cared, but I never have to time to pay attention to her.

"What do you mean? I do care, Pipes." I replied.

"Then why would you ignore what I say when I call you, refuse to help me with my videos or give me some advice?" Piper asked.

I stayed quiet, all that stuff I did to Piper was true. But now, I realized life is short. And it has been awhile since Piper and I did stuff together, maybe it's the time to fix that.

"You're right." I responded, "But let me make it up to you."

Piper was already confused of how this is going.

"Do you have anything to do later?"I asked.

"No, why?" Piper replied.

"Let's have a sibling hangout. Just you and me." I offered.

Piper's eyes lit up

"Really?" She asked.

"Really. You could do whatever you want us to do." I said.

"Then what are you waiting for? Let's go!" Piper exclaimed with enthusiasm.

~Time skip~

Piper and I had so much fun. We went to the movies, the mall, got some frozen yogurt and all that. This was honestly the most fun I've ever had with her.

We came home together, exhausted and happy at the same time. Dad walked towards us.

"Where have you two been?" He asked.

"Oh, we had a sibling hangout." I replied.

"Yeah, we went to the movies, watched Galaxy Wars 11, got some frozen yogurt and did some crazy stuff." Piper responded.

"Well, not too crazy." I added.

Piper laughed while dad looked at us, surprised.

"Wow, I never seen you guys hangout quite awhile." My dad responded.

"I know, it was fun. Anyways, I'll be upstairs. Thanks, Hen." Piper said.

She went up that stairs. I walked towards the kitchen to see mom doing the dishes, I walk up to her.

"I can handle the dishes. You can rest mom." I said.

"What has gotten into you? You never do stuff like this." My mom asked.

"Seriously mom, I can take care of it. Go get some rest, you look tired." I responded.

"I love you, Hen."

"Love you too, mom."

Mom went upstairs while I started doing the dishes.

~The next day (32 hours and 53 minutes left)~

School has finished so I walked towards my locker then scanned my thumb print on it. I opened it but someone shut the locker. I look at the person and it was yet again, Mitch Bilsky...

"Hey, Hart. Having fun being a loser?" Mitch asked.

"Maybe." I replied, "Let me ask you a question first."

"What?" Mitch questioned.

I walk pass Mitch's house everyday. His parents doesn't treat him like any parent should treat their child, I overheard they yell that he is a mistake.

I looked around to make sure no one was listening then lowered my voice.

"Do you really think that bullying makes you feel better?" I asked, "Do you really think it's going to fix the fact that your parents were treating you like trash?"

Mitch went speechless.

"I pass by your house every day, Mitch. I know what you're going through." I said.

Mitch looked around the back to me.

"You promise you won't tell anyone?" He whispered.

I nodded.

He then walked away. Charlotte and Jasper walked to me.

"What happened?" Jasper asked.

"Nothing special." I replied.

"Well, we're going to class. We'll wait for you there or try to catch up." Charlotte said.

Char and Jasp walked away to Chemistry class.

I walked towards my locker then scanned my thumb print on it. I opened it to find another note.

32 hours and 48 minutes left.

Tick tock, Henry...

I sighed as I realized I don't have much time left.

~Time skip~

Captain Man's POV

"What were you thinking?!" I exclaimed.

"Well, what did you want me to do?" Henry answered.

Henry and I have gotten back from a mission from saving people from a burning building and Henry, once again risked his life.

After we saved the rest, we found out that there was a family left in there but the fire got even bigger.

I tried warning Henry to not go in there because I knew he would but like the insane person he is, he went for it and ended up getting the family out.

If you want to know what we look like now, we are caked in ash. My hair was messy, my uniform and mask is shredded and I have no injuries as usual. But in Henry's case, his face uniform and litterally everywhere is covered in ash.

"I could've gotten in there and save them myself! I'm indestructible!" I exclaimed once more.

Henry went silent.

"Oh right...." He replied.

"Don't worry about it, just please never do that ever again. I don't want to see you get hurt like the time at the clock shop." I said.

Henry nodded.

I parked the Man Van in the garage. We exited the van and went towards to tubes. We tapped our belt buckles then the tubes came down.

"Down the tube." I said.

The tubes send us down, plummeting us down the Man Cave.

Charlotte's POV

Okay, Henry has been acting way too off lately and it's getting even more noticeable.

First, he risked his life tackling a criminal who has a gun on his hands.

Second, he hung out with Piper which he told Jasper and I earlier today.

And now, he made the biggest jerk in school leave him alone?!

It's just... peculiar...

I entered Junk N' Stuff and took the elevator down the Man Cave. When I arrived, I see Schwoz watching something on the monitors.

"Hey, Schwoz." I greeted.

"Oh, Hey Charlotte." He replied.

I threw my bag on the staircase near the tubes. I walked towards Schwoz and leaned on the couch.

"So, what're you watching?" I asked.

"Season 2 of 'Will & Grace'."

"That's a good season-"

"That's a great season!" Schwoz interrupts.

Jesus, does this always has to happen to me?

"Anyways, can I ask you something?" I asked.

"You just did." Schwoz replied.

I glared at him as if I was about to slap him, which I am if he doesn't take me seriously... He finally groaned and paused 'Will & Grace'.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Have you uh.... noticed something weird going on with Henry?" I asked.

"To me, not really. Why's that?" Schwoz said.

"It's just that Ray told me he risked his life and tackled a criminal holding a gun. He could've gotten shot!" I exclaimed.

"So... are you going to ask him what's up?" Schwoz asked.

"Well do you expect him to not lie?" I asked.

Just as Schwoz was about to reply, the tubes beeped, signaling someone's coming down the Man Cave.

The tubes came down and revealed Ray and Henry as Captain Man and Kid Danger covered in ash.

Schwoz took this time to continue watching 'Will & Grace'. I just rolled my eyes and faced Ray and Henry.

"I'll be in the shower, I got to wash all this ash of my body." Henry announced.

Ray nodded while Henry went to the sprocket.

"What's with all the ash?" I asked.

"We just came back from a mission saving some citizens from a burning building." Ray explained.

"Oh, and by the way, have you noticed anything different about Henry?" I questioned.

Ray thought for awhile...

"Nah, I know Henry! He's always okay! It's probably fine..."

Ray hesitated for a moment.

"Right?"

Kid Danger's POV

No. It wasn't fine...

I finished taking a shower then got out of it with a towel around my waist. I look at the mirror and cringed at the noticeable burns and bruises I got on the side of my stomach from the fire.

It's fine, I'm going to die soon anyway. I can deal with it.

I put on my clothes then went back to the main part of the Man Cave to see Ray, who's still in his uniform, talking to Charlotte.

"Hey guys." I greeted.

"Hey, Hen." They greeted back.

"I'm going to help work some things up at Junk N' Stuff." I said.

"Wait, Hen." Charlotte said.

I turned to face her.

"Yeah? What?" I asked.

"We just want to make sure-" Ray said.

"-Are you okay?" Charlotte continued.

Oh shoot, they're getting suspicious.

"I'm fine guys, what makes you think that?" I asked, hiding a nervous chuckle.

"No reason, just asking." Ray said.

I looked at them weird.

"...Okay? Bye." I said.

I left the Man Cave to the elevator. When the doors closed, I sighed in relief.

That was a close call.

~The next day (4 hours and 3 minutes left)~

School has just finished, boring as usual. I went to open my locker once again. I placed my books inside my locker then closed it. Odd, Mitch usually comes to beat the stuffing out of me.

"Hey, Hart." A voice said.

I turned around to see Mitch.

"Hey, Mitch. Let me guess, came to beat me up for what I said to you yesterday?" I asked.

But I was surprised when he shook his head.

"No, not today. I just came to apologize. It has been hard for me these days. Everytime I go home, all I hear is yelling from my parents. I've thought about it, I should really tell someone about my problems more often. " Mitch said.

I smiled.

"Now that's the spirit. Hope your mom and dad will treat you better soon." I replied.

He smiled at me too.

"Thanks, Hart. Take care." Mitch said then left school.

It's nice to see Mitch being polite to me for the first time.

I walk to the front gate to see Charlotte.

"Hey, Char." I greeted.

"Hey." Charlotte greeted. "Ready for another day of work?"

Or you could say the last day of work. I know today is the last day of living my life, but I also know that I can't tell her what's going to go wrong today.

You'll never know what could happen to them if I did, so I forced a smile once again.

"Yeah... Let's go." I said.

~Time skip (7 minutes left)~

Seven minutes left...

Seven minutes left till' the citizens cry their hearts out.

Seven minutes left till' I see my loved ones for the last time.

Seven minutes left till' another life in the world will vanish.

Seven minutes left till' I let go of my life in a heartbeat...

"UNO!" Charlotte exclaimed, "I won!"

"Aw, come on! I was just about to have you draw 4 cards!" Schwoz whined, in defeat.

"Well, too bad." Charlotte smirked.

I forgot that Ray and I were watching Schwoz and Charlotte playing Uno. We got back from a mission awhile ago and see that their playing so we decided to spectate.

Suddenly, my phone vibrated. I grab my phone out of my pocket to see that I got a message from 'Unknown Number'

"It's time. Meet me at the abandoned Frittle factory."

Well, this is it.

"Hey guys, my mom texted me. I got to go eat dinner." I lied as I walked towards the tubes.

"Okay, just be sure to answer your whiz watch in case an emergency came." Ray said.

I mean, if I'm still alive...

"Will do." I answered.

I walked towards the tubes but then stopped. I turn to face all my friends.

"Just one more quick thing before I go." I said.

"Okay, what?"

I paused for awhile.

"You guys have been a great part of my life and I just wanted to say that I love all of you." I confessed.

I faced Charlotte.

"Charlotte, thanks for showing me your sassy and smart personality to prove to me that not all girls are weak. Also, tell Jasper that I said thanks for being my bro through out these years and been by my side ever since."

I faced Ray.

"Ray, it's been a great opportunity to be your sidekick. There are a million of people out there you could've chosen and I'm thrilled you chose me. You made me feel special and worth it."

I faced Schwoz.

"Schwoz, you have been pretty fun to work with. When I first met you, I was really impressed at all the inventions you made. Keep up the good work."

They all stared at me weirdly.

"Thanks?...." Charlotte replied.

I nodded my head and continue walking to the tubes. I looked around the Man Cave one last time before signaling the tube to drop.

Third person POV

"Up the tube!" Heny yelled.

The tube sucked him out.

Ray, Charlotte and Schwoz stared at one another awkwardly, not sure what just happened.

"That's not something you see everyday..."

Kid Danger's POV

I transformed into Kid Danger then ran across Swellview, trying my best to hold in my tears. After awhile, I finally approached the old abandoned Frittle factory. I slightly pushed the door and not to my surprise, it was open.

I slowly walked inside.

"Hello?" I called out, "Mysterious person? It's me, Kid Danger. Are you here?"

The door suddenly shut, I immediately looked back at the entrance, startled.

"Hello, Henry. Glad you actually came." A voice said.
