Summary: Mika was about to leave the Man Nest and head back home but then notices Ray crying on the couch. She asked Ray what's up and then he says he misses Henry, so the Danger Force team try to find a way to cheer Ray up.

Also, please don't hate me if I got some things wrong because I don't really watch the show so I don't have that much information about the show yet. All I know is Chapa is the fierce one, Miles is the funny one, Mika is the smart one and Bose is... well the new season 1 Jasper.

Mika's POV

Well, the team and I called it a day and decided to go back home.

"Hey, I'm going to go to the bathroom." I said.

"Okay, do you want us to wait for you?" Chapa asked.

"No, go ahead. I'll catch up." I replied.

"Okay, if you say so. See you later." Miles said as he left with Chapa and Bose.

I went to the bathroom afterwards.

I finished doing my business and grabbed my stuff to go home but just as I was about to leave, I heard sobbing in the room.

"Huh, weird..." I said to myself.

I started becoming curious so I decided to go explore. I realised the more steps I took, the sobbing got louder. I walked towards the couch and found out that the person crying was Ray. He didn't even notice I was here until I called out his name.

"Ray?"

He got startled and I see him wiping his tears then turned around to face me.

"Mika? I thought you left with the rest." He replied, his voice breaking a little.

I instantly became concerned.

"Were you crying?" I asked even though it was quite obvious to me.

"No..." Ray lied, trying to avoid his emotions.

"Ray..." I said.

"Okay, fine! I was crying!" He confessed.

I sighed then walked towards the couch. I set my backpack down and sat next to Ray.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

He didn't reply, I guess he still has trust issues with Miles, Chapa, Bose and I since Schwoz has mentioned that we're not good listeners.

"Come on, I know you still don't trust us with much things but just tell me. I really want to help." I said.

He faced me and see the desperate look on my face then sighed.

"Fine. It's just... I miss him..." Ray confessed.

"Who?" I asked.

He hesitated but said his name anyway.

"Henry." Ray finished, " I mean, I know I have you guys now but my connection with Henry was just kind of different. Henry is a quick learner and you guys... well lack experience and teamwork."

I got a bit offended.

"That's not-" I started but then realised that this is not the time.

"Sorry, please continue."

"As I was saying, Henry and I were very close. When he first came down to the Man Cave for the interview, I just knew he was the one. He doesn't need much training because he's actually a smart kid. I really thought he could be the future protector of this city, but I never thought about him leaving someday..." Ray sighed.

"So this is why you've been pretty rough and annoyed at us?" I asked.

He nodded and I sighed, finally understanding the events going on.

"Hey, I totally get it. Henry is quite a perky person and you guys seem to have a great father-son relationship. You have every right to feel this way. I mean, I can't say that I experienced it before but someone you care about moving away does sound hard." I said.

Ray nodded and a small smirk appeared on his face but not for too long.

"I couldn't help but to think about what's he doing in Dystopia. I hope that he's okay, I couldn't imagine him getting hurt and exhausted." Ray said.

"I'm sure he's fine." I replied.

Ray doesn't look too convinced, I frowned.

"You know, you should get back home. It's getting pretty late. Miles and your parents could be wondering where you're at." Ray said.

"But, are you sure you're okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Just go home, you must be tired." Ray said.

I'd normally disobey him but this time, I decided to give him some slack and leave him alone.

"Okay, I hope you'll feel better." I said

Ray nodded and gave me a sad smile while I return one back. I grabbed by backpack and left.

As I was walking back home, I couldn't stop thinking about Ray. I knew the team and I had to do something about it so I grabbed my phone and started texting.

yea ok, we have a problem.

what is it?

MILES
mika, when r u coming back? mom and dad are getting a bit suspicious.

u cant expect me to come up with smth immediately!

MIKA
stop! im on my way back right now but just listen to me!

BOSE
ooh! sweet, is it a mission? don't worry, I'll be sure to pick my lucky Captain Manderpants tomorrow!

CHAPA
ew! gross!

MIKA
anyways, I just found out Ray has been missing Henry lately so I think he needs help.

MILES
k sure, but whats the plan?

~The next day~

Ray's POV

Well... it's another typical day in the Man Nest, I barely got any sleep last night because I just couldn't get my mind off of Henry. That kid really changed my life but without him, it feels super different and dull.

"Hey, Ray."

I jumped, I look behind me and calmed down to see it was just Schwoz.

"Schwoz you nub! You scared me half to death!"

"Okay, sorry but I just wanted to tell you that all the kids came early. They're waiting." Schwoz said.

Wait, what? It's literally 7 am in the morning! They never wake up that early! Why would they.... oh god.. I have a bad feeling about this...

"Where are they? I gotta see."

I walked out of my bedroom with Schwoz, still in my sleepwear...

Chapa's POV

We all came early to the Man Nest so we could spend the day trying to comfort Ray. We decided to prove to him that we could impress him like Henry did.

"Okay guys, you know what to do. Impress Ray just like how Henry impressed him." She said.

"Got it." Miles said.

"It's fine, there's no doubt we're going to mess up." Bose said then winked.

"Oh god, don't tell me you actually wore the Captain Manderpa-" I started.

Before I could finish my sentence, Bose lifted up the Captain Man themed underwear from his pants.

"Awwww no...." I said, disgusted.

Then we see Ray and Schwoz walking into the room.

"Ray's coming! Everyone act normal!" Mika said.

But of course, we all pose the most unnatural poses and with weird wide smiles on our faces.

Third person POV

"Hey, Ray!" the kids all greeted, still grinning.

Ray and Schwoz was already suspicious of where this was going.

"Hey, guys. Why are you all here so early? It's 7:13 right now." Ray asked.

"Because we want to have our training early and you guys are the best trainers ever, duh!" Mika responded, grinning.

"Um... okay, but aren't you guys tired?" Schwoz asked.

All of the kids then started laughing (fake laughing of course)

Ray and Schwoz just looked at each other, getting weirded out.

"Tired? Why would we be tired?" Chapa asked

"We never get tired!" Miles added.

"Yeah! It's not like I never slept the whole night, trying to find the perfect pair of Captain Manderpants to wear today!" Bose responded.

Mika, Chapa and Miles immediately looked at Bose, giving him an "are you serious?" look.

"What?" Bose replied, innocently.

"Okay, I feel like there's something going on here..." Ray said.

"Dang it!" all the kids cursed in their minds at the same time

"Okay, fine. I'm kind of concerned for you last night so I decided to call all the others to try to lighten up your mood today." Mika confessed.

"What? no. Guys, it's fine. You guys really don't have to worry." Ray said.

"But Ray-" Chapa insisted.

"Chapa, it's okay. Just drop it." Ray interrupted.

The kids all thought for a moment.

"Okay. We'll drop it." Miles said.

"Thank you." Ray said.

"Okay, you guys stay here. We need to change our clothes." Schwoz said.

"Get ready for your training." Ray added.

The two adult men left the room leaving a silence between the kids.

"So, we're definitely going to help Ray. Right?" Bose asked.

"Yeah we are!" the others exclaimed.

~Time skip~

The training is not going well AT ALL. It was utter chaos and it was worse than before. Schwoz was trying to stop all the kids, Chapa couldn't stop sparking the room, Miles kept teleporting all around the place, Bose is trying to control his telekinesis and Mika is standing next to a stressful Ray, getting pretty embarrassed at the plan's failure.

"Um... hope you feel better?" Mika said, raising her eyebrows and giving Ray an unsure smirk.

Ray then faced the dark skinned girl.

"Yeah..." Ray responded, sarcastically.

Then without knowing, Bose accidentally hit Mika in the head with a small plastic box using his telekinesis pretty hard but not to hard for her to faint but it hurt.

"OWWWWWW!!!!!" Mika yelled but realised it was a mistake.

Her super sonic scream blew a hole in the wall and everyone else were scattered around the place on the floor except for her and Ray.

"Alright! That's enough!" Ray exclaimed.

Everyone got startled at Ray raising his voice.

"Oops..." Mika mouthed.

"Look guys, I get that you all want me to feel better but causing chaos is not helping me at all! You guys are honestly even worse than before!! Do you guys realise the amount of things that is going on in my life right now?! I know you guys are trying but I'm just going to tell you now that it's. Not. Working! So I beg you guys to just please stop!"

Everyone was shocked at Ray's sudden outburst, they never seen Ray this pissed before. No one dared to move a muscle. Ray looked worse than before and his face turned a bit red.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I need a moment." Ray said then exited the room

Everyone got up from the ground. Schwoz was speechless, Miles got a bit embarrassed, Chapa bit her lip and stared down at herself, Mika felt extremely guilty that her way of cheering Ray up didn't work.

"You guys are dismissed for now. I'll go check up on Ray." Schwoz said as he left the room too.

The kids were surrounded by an awkward silence.

"I didn't mean to hit you with that pencil case... I-I'm so sorry, Mika. I-" Bose started.

"Wait..." Mika interrupted.

Mika was stroking her chin, thinking about something.

"So? What is it?" Chapa asked.

"What are you-" Miles added.

"Will you shush?! I'm trying to think here!" Mika exclaimed but not so loud.

"Okay, sorry." Miles raised his hands up in defence.

She thought for a few seconds more and then a smile started forming on her face.

"That's it!" Mika exclaimed.

"What? what is it?" The others immediately got curious.

Mika motioned the others to huddle closer in a circle

"I got a better and greater idea which I bet Ray would absolutely love..."

~Time skip~

Ray's POV

I'm sitting on the couch right now (yes again...) my elbows are supported by my knees and my hands were on my face. I was still kind of mad at Mika, Miles, Chapa and Bose but I also felt bad for raising my voice at them. Even Schwoz is scared of me now! I groaned in frustration. I have no idea why my emotions have changed so much without Henry by my side. I just miss that kid so-

"Ray?" I heard someone say.

I turned around to see Mika, Miles, Chapa and Bose with looks of regret and guilt shown on their faces. I stood up and walked towards them.

"Oh, you guys are back." I replied.

They gave me soft smiles

"Yeah." Miles said.

"Look we're so sorry for causing you this much stress and drama." Chapa said.

"Especially me, I didn't mean to take it that far." Mika added.

"It's okay, I'm so sorry for raising my voice at you guys like that. Sometimes, I forget that you guys are still kids." I chuckled a bit.

"It's all good." Miles replied.

"Because of all the things we did, we have something else for you." Bose started.

"You guys really don't-" I said

"Come on, you'll love it." Miles said.

I wasn't sure but I gave in anyways.

"Okay. What is it?"

"Well, we contacted a little someone we know you'll miss." Bose said.

"Come on out!" Mika called out.

I got confused but when the person who I've seen as a son, a best friend, a partner came through the door frame, my mouth hit the ground

Henry.

Third person POV

As planned, Henry came into the room and revealed himself. Henry looked a lot more different than the last time he was here. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a brown hoodie inside and some black jeans, he also has curly hair now unlike his straight hair a few months back.

Ray immediately had his mouth hanging open.

"Ray?"

Ray still couldn't form words.

"H-Henry? Is... is that really you?" Ray asked, his words quivering. He couldn't help it.

Henry looked down at himself and back at the grown man.

"Yeah, it's me. Just made a few changes with my looks. I missed you Ray." He replied.

Ray slowly walked towards Henry and then gave him a hug, the ex-sidekick returned the hug while the younger members watched in awe. They stayed like that for a while and then pulled away.

"So you have curly hair and a darker taste for clothing, eh?" Ray asked.

"Yeah, just trying to blend in with everyone else back in Dystopia. It's a real mess back there by the way." Henry responded, playing with his curly hair for a bit.

"Kid, I thought you weren't coming back until thanksgiving." Ray said.

"Well I was, but Mika said you weren't feeling like yourself lately so I decided to come over and cheer you up." Henry responded then asked, "Do you feel better?"

Ray looked like he was about to cry, he knew it was a bit childish but he was just so happy to see his best friend again.

"Extremely."

Ray hugged Henry again.

"Aww...."

This is probably the most adorable reunion Mika had ever seen.

Bose, Chapa and Miles looked at Mika. Henry and Ray broke their hug and did the same.

"I ruined the moment..." Mika responded, embarrassed.

Everyone started laughing at the dark-skinned tween.

~Time skip~

Henry stayed in Swellview for 3 days before going back to Dystopia, the Danger Force team (including Schwoz) and Henry talked and joked for a while. Henry even taught Mika, Miles, Chapa and Bose his crime fighting techniques. There still has been problems about their out of control powers but it was okay, they're still learning.

They had fun, but the ex-sidekick had to leave. Henry made a promise that he'll call Ray everyday so they could always stay in touch, they never missed a day. I guess you can say that everything is always better when you're spending time with your best friend.
