As we arrived to Thunder Burger, Boruto immediately ran up to the cashier to order his favorite meal. The Green Chili Hamburger. Bleh, I always hated it.

"Alright you two! I'll order the food, you two can grab us a table...Hey! I found a coupon for the Green Chili Hamburger!" Boruto exclaimed as Kawaki and I walked off.

    "I don't know how he can even eat those things. The Jolokia Burgers are spicy enough." I said as I sat down at the nearest empty booth.

    "Hm" he exclaimed while walking over to where I was sitting and sat directly in front of me.

    "I'm so glad we can finally rest now. Even if we didn't finish him off, it'll be quite some time before he comes back." I said while laying my head down on the table.

    "I guess so. But we still got to watch out for the rest of those assholes from the Kara." He replied.

    "Your right about that." I said quietly while looking out the window.

    "After I get some training in with Lord 7th and become a ninja, I'll finally be able to take those bastards down." He stated.

    "You're going to need a lot more training than that before you're able to take them on. But when you are, I'll be there to be your extra pair of eyes." I said while picking my head up and pointing towards my left eye.

    "Hm, I don't know, are you strong enough to keep up with me?

    "Is that a challenge?" I asked jokingly while smiling at him.

    "No, just messing with you." he responded.

    I laughed. "Hey, how about we ditch Boruto and grab some taiyaki instead? I don't know if I'll be able to handle a Thunder Burger right now." I asked while smirking.

    "Sure, I've been looking for an excuse do ditch the brat." He responded as he was getting up from his seat.

    We both got up, attempting to creep past Boruto who was still ordering our food. Of course he had to turn around at thag moment, so we both just decided to make a run for it.

"What the heck?! Where are you guys going?!?!?!?!

"That was close" I said, walking towards the downtown area of Konoha.

    "Yeah, I wasn't really looking forward to giving him an excuse as to why we were creeping around the place." He said as he but his hands into his pockets

Boruto POV

    "Okay guys, I got a jalapeno burger for Kawaki, and a plain burger for-" I turned around to see nobody in sight.

    I looked around the place in confusion. "Did they actually ditch me? Thats so uncool!"

I turned back around to the counter and shoved the tray into the cashier's hand.

    "Sorry, but I gotta run!" I apologized as I dashed out the door.

    Kawaki and I walked down the street, both eating chocolate taiyaki. "How did he not notice? I can't believe we actually got out without him noticing." Kawaki said.

    "Haha, yeah. I have a question...What did they feed you when you were with the 'Kara'?" I asked. I hope I don't seem weird for asking that.

    "They gave me food that was barley even edible. Nothing as close to this." He responded.

    I imagined how hard his life has been. It made me feel bad that thinking my father's absence was the worse thing in the world. "What's wrong?" He asked.

    "Its nothing... I was just thinking about how hard your life must have been. I'm sorry you had to experience that."

    "Eh, don't worry about it. Its in the past, and now I have friends like you to hang out with. And good food to go with that."

    I giggled a bit. "What are you laughing at?" He questioned.

    "Its just that....You sound so corny while saying that! I didn't expect you of all people to say something like that!" I laughed.

    "Don't tease me." He said while smirking.

    "Alright then" I said as I smiled.

    "Hey! I finally found you!" A familiar blonde yelled from behind us.

    Kawaki and I both looked behind us as we saw Boruto running straight at us. "Boruto?! How did you find us so quickly?!" I questioned.

    "I know that you like the food that cone from downtown, so I assumed that you would bring Kawaki down here!" He responded.

    "I guess Im really that predictable." I said.

    "Anyways, why did you guys leave me?! It was so embarrassing! Everyone was staring!!"

    Me and Kawaki looked at each other before we both bursted out laughing as Boruto grunted. "Ill get my payback for this!" Boruto warned.

    "Yeah yeah, whatever." I laughed.
