Chapter 1

**

I took a sip of my coffee that I brought from Starbucks while driving to school. I was late, but I had some school work to complete, before coming to school.

I parked the car at my usual spot and got out, slamming my door shut. Continue to drink my coffee, I walked towards the garden where the announcements are held.

In Roseline High school, there is always an announcement held on every Friday and Monday. Today being Friday, there is an announcement. The announcement is held by the Principal of the school, followed by me, the head girl.

I made my way towards the back to see the how the crowd was behaving. They aren't quiet when I'm not there. Most of them fear me. For what? I don't know, but fear is needed sometimes to maintain discipline. We have our fair share of fun, but alongside discipline.

So now I'm standing behind, observing each and everyone's behaviour while the Principal notes down all the important information. My best friend, who also happens to be working in the council, tried to withhold the crowd, but no such luck. She glances up and finds me standing there looking at everyone. I gesture for her to keep quiet by putting my finger to my lips.

Seeing the relief on my best friend's face, my other two bestie looked at her in questioning. Amber aka my best friend jerks her head towards me and the other two follow her lead. Relief passes through their face while I smirk at them.

Show time.

"What the hell is going on here?" My voice boomed through the whole ground instantly silencing them. Principal Ben stops saying for a minute, looking at the silent ground. Once his eyes fell on me, he grins from ear to ear. I mentally laugh at his expression, but from outside my facial is cold, angry, authoritive, unhappy. "Care to explain, why is there so much noise that I couldn't even hear a single word Principal Ben said?"

"Because his voice is weak." Someone yelled. Not good when I'm already angry.

I snapped my head towards the noise. I couldn't point who said that, but I'm sure it's someone from my right. "Step forward," I demanded to whoever that person is.

Scanning my eyes through the crowd, a blonde hair guy came forward. I knew most of the students, so it wasn't hard to guess that he was one of the popular kids.

"What?" He asked, looking bored. I heard a visible gulp from people around.

I smirked. "Meet me at my classroom."

"Sure, babe," he said, winking.

I could have glared at him, but didn't get a chance. Max, my brother came forward and punched the blonde guy down to the ground.

"Watch whom you're talking to, kid," Max hissed at him. He coward back a little.

"Max, stop." I said. He looked at me, his eyes softened. He nodded and went back to his friends. "You," I pointed at the blonde. "Go to the nurse, get fix and meet me in the classroom. One student is going to get suspended on the first week."

A lot of 'ohhs' were heard, but a glare from me and they shut up. I was still standing back, so now I made my way towards the stage that was made for the announcement in the morning.

"Is there anything you want to continue, sir?" I asked Principal Ben.

"No. You may continue." He said, taking a seat at the back with few teachers.

I nodded and faced the crowd, microphone in hand. "I was observing you'll from behind. Looks like there isn't any discipline left since the school started again."

Some looked down, while some away. The freshman's were confused. So I continued. "This is the second assembly held after the re-open and most of the rules aren't explained to the freshers, I'm assuming?" I asked, looking at Amber. She nodded. "Very well. Since I've heard there are going to be new students joining from next Monday, I won't be explaining how this works today. But we will have a talk with you soon."

They nodded. "Until then, just be careful of one rule, don't disrespect your teachers and the principal and try not to come in my bad books. Am I clear?" I asked, through the microphone.

"Yes!" They shouted.

"As for your punishment, the fresher's party that I was planning will be cancelled." I simply stated.

Every one of them cried a no. It's not my problem. Groans were heard throughout the ground. I guess they were looking forward to that.

"I will continue the party," I paused as there was a dead silence. "Only if you promise to behave."

"Yes, we promise."

"Okay. Then I'll think what to do. There isn't much to tell now. Only that there will be a council meeting soon," I said, informing the council members that were spread apart. I looked at principal for a moment, asking if he wants to add anything. He shook his head. "Okay then. Go to your class. No wandering around." I said. But I know some people won't listen. In that some people my brothers are included too.

They all went to their class as I joined my friends down the stage. "I was worried when you didn't come. That's some number of people to handle," Chris said, looking at the students going to their respective class.

"Yeah. And I don't even know why am I helping you when I'm least interested in becoming a member of the council," Alex muttered.

"Shut it, Alex. I'm not giving you a choice," I said, annoyed with the same complain every day.

"But–" he started.

"Shh," I glared at him. He sighed, raising his hands in surrender.

My friends are pretty amazing. First it's Amber, my girl bestie. She has blonde straight hair and blue eyes. She has a body to die for. Amber is small in height, actually same as me. Her curves are pretty good too. She knows how to make a guy fall for her. But this girl is dating my bestie two, Chris.

Chris is a brown hair, messed up at the top of his head. It doesn't look like he brushes his hair at all. His eyes are almost same like Amber, blue with a ring like thing rounding with grey. He is well built, goes to gym of course. Lucky for Amber, he isn't a player, unlike Alex.

Alex my third bestie, reminds me a lot of Alex Pettyfer. He has same blonde messy hair and green eyes. I think Alex Pettyfer has green eyes. But if not, then still, he reminds me of him. He too is well built. Works out on daily basis and is the ladies man.

"Alright. Ready to go?" Amber came and stood beside Chris.

"Or how about we go to a janitor closet, babe?" Chris asked, smirking. Amber glared at him.

"You know what? I'm not going anywhere with you." She turned around with a huff and walked away.

"Come on," Chris whined, trailing behind her.

Alex swings his hands around my shoulder. "Let's go."

"I have a talk with some Blondie," I said, as we walked towards the building.

"I know. I'm coming with you." He said, heading towards the class.

"Why?"

"Protection, babe." He shrugged.

"I can take care of myself," I hissed. I don't like when they have to follow me everywhere I go. From they, I mean my brothers and friends.

"I know. But strict order from Max and Ryan," he said, smiling apologetically.

I sighed. Of course, my twin is going to be one of them. I didn't argue any further and went to the classroom. This classroom is pretty much a big classroom, where all the council important documents are kept. I always make sure the classroom is either locked when I'm not there, or is under some supervision.

Reaching the class, I thank Brent who was working and waiting with the Blondie until I came. Alex whistled and went at the back room where the cupboards are fixed.

I walked and stood in front of the main desk, my desk. I stared at Blondie who seems uncomfortable under my stare. "Why did you behave like you behaved outside?"

He remained quiet.

"Answer me."

"It's a stupid reason." He muttered.

"That is?" I crossed my arms.

"They dared me." He said, disappointed. I raised an eyebrow for further explanation. "They said I can't do anything like this. That I'm scared and a lost puppy. That got me angry. I mean, who would want to be called a lost puppy. So I took the dare to prove them wrong."

"Are they bulling you?" I asked. In most of the cases, I've heard they bully you to do something you don't want to. But just because you're scared doesn't mean you go and do things wrong. Anything wrong.

"No!" He exclaimed.

"Then?"

"It just hurt my man pride," he said, awkwardly. Alex snickered from behind, but stopped once he saw my glare.

"Fine. I won't be deciding what to do with you. I believe you have to apologise to the Principal and he'll decide what to do." I said. "Give me the names of the people who dared you." I added.

He nodded. I jerked my head to Alex so that he could take the names for me. After writing the names, Alex gave me the paper and I scanned it.

"Same?" He asked.

"Most of them." I answered. He nodded.

"What are you going to do?" He asked.

"Oh! You know," I smirked, knowing exactly what I have to do. Alex chuckled.

"Come on," he said as we headed towards the Principal's office with the Blondie following us. I forgot to ask his name.

"What's your name?" I asked, keeping my voice stern.

"Bren." He answered. I nodded my head, continued walking towards the office. Once we reached, I greeted Mrs. Marianne, the lady at the desk.

"Is Principal Ben free?" I asked her politely.

"Yes?" She snapped without looking up. I cleared my throat for her to see as to whom she's talking to. "What?"

"I would really appreciate if you don't talk to the students this way, Mrs. Marianne." I snapped my head towards the door, which was wide open.

Mrs. Marianne stood up roughly, causing her chair to fall back with a thud. She winced at the sound, looking scared at the principal.

"Sorry, sir."

He nodded and gestured for us to come in. I let Bren walk in first, following by Alex and then me.

"You wanted to talk?" Principal Ben asked, looking at me.

"Yes. You know what happened this morning. I have the student in charge of that. Since he disrespected you, I would like if you would be the one to punish him, sir," I said, finishing in one breath.

He looked at me for a moment before his eyes fell on Alex. "Why are you here?"

"Duty," Alex replied shortly.

Principal Ben nodded. "Very well," he started, looking at Bren who stood there, uncomfortably. "I'm not that cruel, like Gwen here, who would have suspended you." I glared at Principal, but he chooses to ignore it. "I'm just going to give you a week detention. If you don't learn from that, then I'll leave the matter in the hands of Miss Wilson, here."

Bren nodded. "Yes, Sir. I'm sorry about it, sir." He apologised, fearfully.

"You may go now."

Bren hurried his way out before I could count till 3.

My glare was still on the person sitting behind the desk. "Is there anything you want?" He asked.

"Yes, sir. There is." I pressured the word sir.

He cocked his eyebrow. "That is?"

I huffed angrily, throwing my hands in my hair. "Really? You had to say something like that? 'I'm cruel!' You think I'm cruel?" I scoffed.

"Yes."

"How could you say something like that, Uncle Ben?" I asked him, shocked.

"What do you expect? Students here are more scared of you than me," he defend himself.

"I'm going to tell Dad about it," I whined. Alex snickered. I turned my glare to him, who was sitting on the chair as if he owns the place.

"What are you, 5?" He asked, smirking.

"Shut up, Alex."

"Gwen," Uncle Ben called. I turned my attention to him. "I'm not scared of your Dad."

"Okay then. I'll tell mom that you said I'm cruel. She'll be happy to know how wonderful words you use." I said, sarcastically.

His eyes went wide. "Don't you tell anything like that to that devil."

"Did you call my mom devil?" I asked, my voice low and dangerous.

"I know my sister better. She can be devil if she wants to," he said, shuddering.

I shrugged. "Your fault you said cruel to her daughter."

"This family drama is hilarious," Alex laughed from his seat. Both Uncle and I glared at him.

"Shut up, Alex." We both said in unison.

Apparently, Alex being my best friend and Principal being my own Uncle, my Mom's brother, they know each other. Uncle Ben treats all my friends as his own children. So it doesn't offend him when Alex just sits like he owns this place. But neither Alex, nor anyone of my other friends treat Uncle Ben disrespectfully; not in school, not at home. And also he's the Principal, so..

"You'll tell Mom?" he asked, referring to my mom.

"Yes, sir." I called sweetly, yet only joking with him.

"You won't back down, will you?" He sighed.

"Nope," I grinned, while Alex laughed.

"I'll be in hell by night."

"Okay then. Byee....for now, Uncle Ben. I have classes to attend." With that Alex and I strolled out of his office and back to class.
