Chapter 2

**

At the hallway, I parted ways with Alex as I had history and he had chemistry. As I rounded the corner, I saw Jonathan, one of the council members, talking on the phone.

"Yes baby, I'll come soon," he said to the other person. Girlfriend maybe?

"No, don't worry. I'll get you what you want." He said. "Yes okay. I love you." He ended that call after listening to the other person. He turned around and saw me looking at him. A council member out of class talking to a girlfriend is strictly not allowed.

"Gwen?" He called, nervously.

"Why are you out of the class?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"I..." He hesitated and shook his head. "I can't tell you."

"You being a member of the council are not allowed to stay out of class. You know that. Then why?" I asked. I needed answer and I'll get it.

"I can't." He said in a low voice.

"Then I think you aren't allowed to have the batch of the council. Also a punishment will be given," I said, straight forward.

His eyes widen. "Gwen please. Don't." his voice broke at the end. Even if he doesn't tell me, I won't be removing him. He is genuine and very talented person.

"Tell me, Jonathan." I demanded.

He sighs. His head hanging low. "I was talking to my sister," he said. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "My parents had an accident a few weeks ago. I...I don't know what to do. It's only me and my sister. And I don't know how to earn money. And...and.." I stopped him by squeezing his shoulder in assurance.

"You can go to class, Jonathan." I dismissed him, softly. He nodded and left without a word. I know a way that could help him earn some money.

Dad has established such a large entity that require employees. I'm pretty sure he'll find a way to help him. With that, I pulled my phone and called Dad. "Hello?"

"I'm busy. I don't have time." I was greeted by his cold voice.

"Dad, it's me." I said, flatly.

There was shuffling before I heard his voice again. "Gwen? Are you alright? Did something happen? I thought it's someone troubling me again."

"Isn't your number like, not allowed to be called in?" I asked.

"It is." Then how?

"Anyways, I want to ask a favor?"

"Yeah?"

"I can't talk on the phone. I'll come to the office today?" I asked, hopefully.

"Is everything okay?" He asked, worried.

"Yes, Dad." I promised.

"Oka-" he was cut off by Will.

"Dad, there is something important." His voice deep and scary. He's definitely angry.

"Uh..just a second," Dad replied to Will.

"After school, right?" He asked. This time his question was directed to me.

"Yes," I nodded, even though he can't see.

"Oka-" he was cut off, again.

"Who are you talking to?" Will asked, his voice still lacing anger.

"Gwen." Dad stated.

"What? Why?" Again shuffling. "Gwen, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, Will. I just want to talk to Dad. I'll come to meet him after school." I said, and began walking to my class.

"Tell me, now." He ordered.

I sighed. "Will."

"Fine, but I want to know," he demanded.

"Yeah. Now I have class. Bye!" I said.

"Bye." He hung up. Not much of a talker.

I strolled to my class. Knocking on the door, I stuck my head in. "Can I come in?"

The teacher looked up from the book and nodded. I sighed; sometimes I have to listen to their lectures of being late. I dropped in my seat and listened to the teacher babbling. I may be the head girl, but give me a break. I too get bored and want to have some fun in class, rather than listening to the boring lectures.

A nudge from my left broke me from my thoughts. I turned to look at Ryan, my twin, calling me.

"What?" I whispered.

"What took you so long?" He asked.

"I came directly." I lied. It's not a lie. I came directly, minus the talk.

"Alex messaged me a while ago," he said. Of course, Alex. That asshole. He doesn't have to update my every move.

"I had work," I hissed, annoyed.

"What?" He asked, curiously.

"I'm not telling you," I snapped. Just because something happened in the past, doesn't mean they have to know my every movement.

"Gwen." His voice carried warning.

"Ryan." I mimicked him. He gave me a look that screams it's not over. I rolled my eyes and concentrated in the front. I could feel his eyes on me, but I ignored him.

As the bell rang, I was the first to dash out of the room. I walked from the long corridor to my locker. I reached the locker and guess what I saw. The two bitches standing there. Sorry about the language, but I have no other way to say or describe them.

Ignoring them, I opened my locker. A throat cleared behind me. I rolled my eyes, not acknowledging their presence.

"Gwen?" A high pitched voice called.

"What?" I finally answered, closing my locker and turning to face them.

"We have a proposal," Stacy, the girl who sleeps around and walks like she owns the place, said. This being a rich school, she behaves like she is superior to others, except me, Ryan and Max. I mean, our dad owns half the London. Unfortunate for her, her dad works for my father.

"What is it?" I asked, bored.

"Since you're continuing with the idea of fresher's party. We have decided to organise it. The dress code, how the party should be and all that stuff," she said, picking her nails.

"We just want your confirmation to prepare," Allison, Stacy's follower continued.

I thought for a moment. "No."

"What!?" They screeched.

"No," I repeated, firmly.

"Why?" They cried.

Swiftly, I turned to face them, again. "I should give you permission to make the party like one of your house party. Drinking, grinding against each other, dancing like a slut. Or for your dress code. Wear only that reached your mid thigh, black and sluttery clothes. I am handling this. I have better way to make it fun. My committee is already working on it, so thanks but no thanks." I said, rolling my eyes.

Their mouth hung open by the time I completed. "You little shit. What the hell did you say?" Stacy screamed. Do all high schools have drama? Apparently, yes.

"You want me to repeat?" I challenged.

"No! How could you say that?" Allison said, glaring at me with hatred. She took a step forward, but was stopped when Ryan stepped in between, glaring at both of them.

"Step back," he growled. Allison coward back, but Stacy took a step towards him, smiling seductively.

"Ryan." Her high pitched voice made me wince. "Haven't seen you since school started," she said, batting her eyes.

"Slut," Lucas, Ryan's best friend coughed.

Stacy snapped her head towards Lucas who was smiling at her. She glared at him, but practically latched herself on Ryan arm. I feel bad for my brother.

"Get off me," he said in irritation. He took her hands and removed from his arms, taking a step back.

"What? But don't you want me?" She asked, making her voice sound like fake hurt. Desperate much?

"I rather not," Ryan muttered. Lucas laughed from behind. Noah, Ricky, Sean, his girlfriend Becca, Amy, Matt and Brad came from somewhere, standing next to Lucas. They were all friends, really close friends.

"But why?" She whined.

"Isn't it obvious?" Sean said, putting his arm around his girlfriend's waist.

"Sean." Allison giggled. Becca shot her a death glare.

"Allison," Sean greeted, but his voice said that he was least interested.

"How are you?" She asked, giggling. What is she giggling for?

"I'm better with her," Sean said, looking at his girlfriend lovingly. Becca blushed and shot him a look.

"Her?" Allison said, her voice dripping venom. Sean took a step forward, angrily.

Guess it's time for me to enter. "That's it. Class, now!" I said, loudly. No one moved. "Now!" I shouted, angrily.

All scattered away. Ryan left but with a 'tell me everything' look. Twin telepathy. I wished we didn't have one, but one can't help it. He comes to know about everything, all bloody emotion of mine. Why?

**

Class dragged down faster than expected. Since school re-opened, my work began. I had to see the reports of last year's performance of our school. Deal with some board members and all that. But I love doing it. It's something that makes me happy.

Now was time for lunch. I made my way towards the lunchroom, when Amber caught up with me. From the look on her face, I guessed something wasn't right.

"We have a problem." She said, staring straight into my eyes. I stopped walking.

"What?" I asked keeping a blank face.

"We got the lead," she said, anger evident in her eyes.

"We'll meet later," I said, walking back to the lunchroom. She nodded walking with me. I wanted to forget that day. I wanted to forget that person, but some reasons still kept me from doing so. I needed answers.

After lunch and after completing some of my school work. I could finally leave. I had to go meet Dad and have a talk.

As I made my way towards the car, I saw something I don't want to see. Or rather a sister should not see. There standing was Max sucking his face with some brunette. Yuck!

"Can I have my car back?" I asked, irritatingly.

Max immediately broke the kiss and gave me sheepish smile. I scoffed angrily.

"So?" Max continued.

"So what?" I asked.

"Let's go home," he said, shaking his head.

"Home?" I asked. "What about your girlfriend?" I smirked.

"She's not my girlfriend," he said, shrugging.

"I'm not?" The brunette shrieked.

I smirked. "She's not?"

"Gwen." Max pleaded. He looked at the brunette and said, "You are baby."

"But I thought you said you don't do girlfriends?" I asked, sweetly.

"What?" She shouted. She then stomped towards Max and kicked him, where she shouldn't have....

"What the fuck?" Max yelled, bending over to catch his Jr.

I laughed so hard that my stomach started hurting. I saw Ryan coming towards me and giving a confuse look to Max, who by now was on the ground from the pain. I laughed harder and explained Ryan between my laughs.

Ryan smirked at Max, leaning towards him. "That's what you get when you make out in front of my girl," he said, before slinging his arms around me.

I smirked, too. "Of course, you do."

"T-This is unfair," Max said between his pains.

"When did we say we are fair," Ryan and I said together.

Max looked at us weirdly, but didn't say anything. "You guys go home." I said, before unlocking my car.

"Where are you going?" Ryan asked as Max sobered a bit.

We stared at each other for few minutes. Ryan nodded and picked Max, who was walking weirdly towards Ryan's car.

"I think my baby is not going to work," I heard Max say. Ryan slapped the back of his head. Laughing, I opened my door and took off to Dad's office.

Second chapter. I know from my usual time, it's late. I usually update in a week, but I was busy. So here my second chapter. The character will be updated soon.

Many of you might not like Gwen when you read this chapter or maybe for a few more chapters, but give her a chance. She isn't that bad as she sounds; a little more sass than needed but who doesn't enjoy having that attitude. I didn't want her to be a shy girl or a spoilt brat (even though it may seems she is, but she is not). I want her to have confidence and attitude which may pass to be annoying or, I quote, 'bitchy'. I personally like her character.

Hope you like it. Until then.
