after the mysterious sudden death of country-famous hero-scientist, egon spengler, his ward brooke devon is left alone in their abandoned dirty farmhouse. in the middle of the summer season springing, spengler's relatives move into the house after undergoing eviction and all of them together find new friends, new love, and sinister activity lurking around the small, forgotten town.
