INTRODUCTION

Hey!

My name is Yara. Fun facts about me: I am from Turkey (The country not the food). I am 25 years old, a full-time engineer by day and a part-time wattpad author by night. I am a total extrovert, I am either at work, or hanging out with my friends or boyfriend. And then, when the night comes and I finally go home, I either read or write. I love to cook, but I barely have the time for it. I hate texting, I get scolded a lot about it. I am not a big fan of social media. I am both a dog and a cat-person. I live day by day and the only plan I have for the future at the moment is to make something big our of my career.

So yeh let's begin with our first question.

What inspired you to start writing?

I was searching for a book about revenge, but I couldn't find anything with the plot I had in mind, so I was like, Oh, I can write it then. Without thinking twice, I created a new story on wattpad, I started writing down everything I had in my mind and well, the rest is history.

When did you start writing?

First year of university. I was barely 17 years old. I was a baby xD

Have you always wanted to be a writer?

Nope! Never in a million years I would've thought I'd be actually creating characters and speaking in their name.

What comes first, the plot or the Characters?

It changes. When I first started writing, I had the plot and then, I started assigning characters that would fit within the plot, but as the characters developed, they started asking for their own stories, so that time, the plot came after (Like what happened with Alex's story, or Lilly and Chase ;) )

What is the most difficult part about writing for you?

To make a full story, you sometimes have to get out of your comfort zone to write scenes that will fit into the plot, or into the standards given by the writing committee. When writing such scenes, I feel out of character, like it's not me, so I hate the thing I am writing, then I feel disconnected and then writer's block starts. I really hate getting out of my comfort zone, but as a writer, I think sometimes, you're obliged to do so.

When you're writing an Emotional, Sad, Romantic scene, how did you get in the mood?

Before writing such scenes, I usually close my eyes and place myself in the character's shoes and I try to feel what they're feeling, then I just write down everything that comes to mind.

What was your most favorite part and least favorite part of the publishing Journey?

Favorite part, being able to let others see the characters the way I see them. It's so thrilling when you write something and hope your readers would read in between the lines and get your point, and they actually do. Feels amazing!

Least favorite part was getting misunderstood and judged because my ideas didn't fit with some reader's point of view.

Did you find it more challenging to come up with your First Book?

Not really, back then, I was writing for myself only, I never thought people would actually read my books. Now, it feels more challenging, because I have my little group of readers that I love, and I can't bear to disappoint or not live up to their expectations.

How many books have you written? And which is your Favorite?

Three books are finished and two are still ongoing, with some other 100 plots for different books still going in my mind. My favorite has got to be "The death of me." I believe every other reader agrees with me on this xD

Which of your books where most enjoyable to write?

It has got to be Blue Ribbon, I enjoy writing about Chase and Lilly a lot, it feels refreshing because I feel like they grew up in front of my eyes. They're young, they don't have big problems, or in other words tragedies, in their lives like their parents once had. In my eyes, they're just two people going through life, learning how to live it, and how to love one another. Also, seeing how happy their parents have given me closure for the other previous books. In short, writing Blue Ribbon feels easy, words just fly onto the page, it's weird and refreshing, I love it.

Tell us few things about your first book? What was the journey like?

It's in terrible need of editing! The journey was somehow exciting, it's the book that made me believe, wow, I can write. I can actually create words and bring characters into life.

What advice would you give a new writer, someone just starting out?

Just write. Whatever it is, was it wrong, bad, terrible, ugly, beautiful, or happy...etc, anything, just write the words in your mind.

Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about?

Well, for now, all I want is to finish my two on-going stories. I placed one story on hold "Bound By Vengeance", because I felt a bit disconnected from it at the moment, but I need to get back into it sometime this year because some of its subplots are important for the next part of "Blue Ribbon."

How many plot ideas are just waiting to be written? Can you tell us about one?

A lot, like a lot. But they are all jumbled up in my mind and nothing is clear yet. I usually like to go one story at a time to not get distracted. Now, there are two stories and I still feel lost sometimes. So, once they're done. I plan to make a story outside the series going on. I need to discover a whole new group of characters, it's scary to leave these characters behind, but at some point, I'll have to!

One plot in mind goes as following: In short, an FBI agent and a serial killer fall in love. I believe I can make something out of this story, when the right time comes *wink*

Which was the first book you read?

Hardcopy: Pride and Prejudice.

On wattpad: Catch me by sweetdreamer33.

What is your favorite genre to read?

It has got to be Romance, young adults, with a bit of comedy and action thrown in and call me intrigued.

Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with the Good and the Bad ones?

Of course I do! They're the best part about publishing. I love and appreciate the good ones, I read the bad ones a couple of times to see if the idea behind it makes sense and if the criticism would help me when editing (Although it's been so long since I got a bad review, weird! Let's not jinx it!)

Who is your Favorite Author?

I can't pick. It changes from time to time. At the moment, I am in love with Emma Scott's books. They're beautifully heartbreaking.

Which book is currently on your bedside table?

The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown

Do you have any writing goal in General or just Wattpad?

Just Wattpad. Writing is a hobby not a career for me. I can't deal with the stressful process of actually publishing a book, nope, thanks, I have enough stress in my actual career! I need to keep my writing (Wattpad) as my peaceful place that I can run into any time I can.

Would you like to name any of the good friends you made on Wattpad?

Oh, there is a lot, Let's start with:PriyaKumari529,Fatima_sheikh, GolbaharShamsaee, _bibliophilic_leo, ZarminaJunaid and Perfictionist_girl and a lot more. I love you all!

How does it feel when you get so much Support and Love from Reader's?

It's amazing, I love my small little gang so much, they're the best readers I swear. They still stuck with me throughout my very terrible updating schedule. I love them all to bits!

Lastly would you like to share something with your Reader's or Writer's?

I love you so much, you guys are my happy place over here, when the real world gets tough, I escape and find you over here, with your sweet words and comments and I smile, you guys always make me smile!
