Hello peeps!🖐
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu!☺
Hope you all are doing well?
So are you all ready to meet with our Today's guest of Let's Grab a Coffee☕ and Chat.
Interviewer: aiieeshaaadfff
And please welcome the Most Fabulous and Hard Working Author astralspirit__🤝
So yeah let's get started😙🤞
😂INTRODUCTION
Asalamu alaikum everyone! Hope you all are doing fine.
Well let's begin with the intro; I'm Tuba, a proud Muslimah from India. I'm an introvert but when it comes to being comfortable with someone, I can be an extrovert as well. I'm a kind of person that thinks positively but is always ready for the worst, so I don't really know what to call my own self; a pessimist or an optimist.
🎤What inspired you to start writing?
I don't think anything can inspire me easily, to be honest. I actually started reading stories from Quotev and from there I found Wattpad and it became my favourite app for reading any story of my favourite genre. So you can say Wattpad AND reading the works of others inspired me. I don't know the main reason but it felt like I should publish my own book and I did the exact.
🎤When did you start writing?
I don't even remember it but I guess at the age of 13 and let me tell you, it turned out worse! Lmao
🎤Have you always wanted to be a writer?
I've never thought too much about this topic considering that I want to be a doctor. As far as I can tell, writing is going to be a kind of side occupation for me. Don't get me wrong, people have their dream jobs but I don't consider mine as a writer. So yeah but even if it happens some day then I'm perfectly fine with it because it's better to have something than nothing!
🎤What comes first the plot or the characters?
The way I see things is that plot comes first for me. The characters, I don't think, have any value until the plot is decided.
🎤What is the most difficult part about writing for you?
It must be my laziness! But apart from that authors block is the main thing that makes writing difficult for me. I always promise my readers to update my story weekly or the next upcoming day but when the time comes to publish, BOOM, my mind just stops processing things and I fail to update my book.
🎤When you are writing an emotional, sad or romantic scene, how do you get into the mood?
There are 2 ways for me to get into 'the mood' as you define it; I pretend to be the protagonist of my story and when it does not work, I listen to the songs of the same category, you mentioned, like a romantic song, for a romantic scene, a sad song for a sad scene and that's that!
🎤What was your most favourite part and least favourite part of the publishing journey?
The most favourite part of the publishing journey would be that whenever I update my book, all my friends support me. And the least favourite part would be the authors block, without a single doubt at that.
🎤Did you find it more challenging to come up with your first book?
The answer is a big YES! Like I said before I started writing on this very platform when I was 13. It was my first ever book 'Betrayal'. It was just a draft back then but I thought about publishing it and it didn't go well! I mean I found many flaws in that book, like the cliche scenes or the protagonists meeting each other so soon. I tried to add many emotions into it as well but it didn't just work out and I had to give up on that book but I don't regret the decision at all.
🎤How many books have you written? And which is your favourite?
I've written 2 books till now and they both are ongoing. My favourite one is always gonna be 'ISHQ:The Journey From Hate To Love' because well let's just say it's an Islamic story and the type of story I prefer so yeah.
🎤Which of your books were most enjoyable to write?
The both! Writing is something that I enjoy doing. I love both of my works from the bottom of my heart so I equally enjoy writing the both of them as well.
🎤Tell us a few things about your first book? What was the journey like?
My first book was a total chaos and I mean it! It was the perfect combination of cheesiness, cliche and whatnot! The journey was not good at all! It was exactly the same as my book; Jumble of emotions! I didn't have anyone at that time to read my story so it was equal to nothing.
🎤What advice would you give a new writer, someone just starting out?
I would just say if you want to write something, just do it! Don't listen to people that want to demotivate you. If you personally think that you are not capable of doing it, but you still want to, that's okay! Not everything can be perfect at the first try! It would take some time, like the editing of the grammatical errors and removing some touché scenes from your book, if there are any, but trust me it would be worth it at the end of the day! And yeah not all people will read your book but remember always do things for your own self not for others. Don't please people that don't want to be pleased! If publishing your own work gives you the satisfaction then let it be! Do it for your own sake.
🎤Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about?
Actually no! I'm not working on anything else or anything new except my current books; ISHQ: The Journey From Hate To Love and The Trail Of Tears. To be honest, I'm not even working on them currently because of my studies but I've planned to get back to them soon, in shaa allah.
🎤How many plot ideas are just waiting to be written? Can you tell us about one?
I've a lot of plots in my mind but they all need time that I, unfortunately don't have this year. And about telling you guys about them, I could but why would I want to. I mean let's just keep it a surprise till then, because that is how life is, full of surprises.
🎤Which was the first book that you read?
I started my journey with reading non- Islamic books so the first ever book that I read on Wattpad was 'My Brothers Best Friend' by @JANA_MADZ
🎤What is your favourite genre to read?
My favourite genre is Romance and Vampires (if that is even considered as a genre)
🎤Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with the Good and the Bad ones?
Of course I do, like who wouldn't want to? When it comes to dealing with the good ones, I guess everyone is happy with that but when it comes to the bad ones, people usually just ignore it. Well I don't do that, I believe in the line "If people are talking, it's because you gave them a chance to" so if I read some bad reviews about my book I definitely try to make it up to the readers. But if they are doing it just because they hate me or because of an invalid reason, then all I can say is that they can do whatever the hell they want.
🎤Who is your favourite author?
There are many actually
🎤Which book is currently on your bedside table?
I don't read offline books much so the only offline book that I've ever read is 'Pehchaan aansu ki". It's actually in Urdu language and it's my main inspiration for writing 'The Trail Of Tears'.
🎤Do you have any writing goal in general or just Wattpad?
As far as I'm concerned, I started writing stories because I enjoyed it a lot especially in this quarantine.
No I don't have any writing goal in general but if given the chance/choice then why not. I mean who can turn down a cappuccino and a job as a writer. Lol.
🎤Would you like to name any of the good friends you made on Wattpad?
Definitely!!
Phew! That would be all!
And just know guys, I love you all ❤️
🎤How does it feel when you get so much support and love from readers?
Phenomenal! Even that would be an understatement. Seeing that your book is getting the love, respect and support it deserves, is truly an amazing feeling! I pray that every writer gets to feel this emotion one day, in shaa allah.
🎤Lastly would you like to share something with your readers or writers?
Yes actually there was a quote that I once read and I feel like you all should know that because there are many people out there that are unhappy with the way things are going around them. So here it is; "There is always a hidden story. Either the plot is twisted or YOU are''
And that would be all!
