Y/N'S POV

"Baby, we've gotta get to school!" Chris calls out, as I finish making mine and his lunch.

"I know Chris." I hand him his lunch and he sighs in relief.

"What would I do without you." He replies and then I realise he would've forgotten to make his lunch.

"Probably die of hunger." I joke, putting the lunch in my bag, then holding Chris' hand as me, Chris, Nick and Matt make our short walk to school.

"Yeah you're right." He admits, moving his arm to wrap around my waist, pulling me into him.

"Guys, seriously?! What is it with you and PDA?" Matt asks, prying Chris' arm off of me.

"Hey! She's my girlfriend I'm allowed to show her affection every now and then." He replies, putting his arm back around me.

We walk through the school gates and to our lockers, Chris' one next to mine.

"We've got different classes?" Chris asks and I nod, making him whine and hug me.

"Chris, it's one hour and plus, you have a free period." I state, rubbing his back.

"Too long and I don't wanna be alone." He mumbles into my shoulder, making me laugh and pull back from the hug.

"I'll see you later." I reach up and kiss his cheek, knowing if I stayed longer it would result in me skipping class.

He groans, walking to the common room as I head to class.

Chris' POV

I sit in the common room, getting my laptop out, deciding to do some editing for the latest car video.

A group of people in our year enter and they are absolute dickheads.

They sit down on a couch about three rows down from where I am, so I take my airpod out to see if they say anything.

"I can't believe it, out of all people why is she dating Chris? She could've done so much better, like even Matt is better." I look down at my laptop upset, putting my airpod back in to ignore their harsh comments.

Their laughter is loud and for the whole hour, I can feel the headache start to arise. Finally the bell rings, so I pack my stuff up and Y/N walks in.

Y/N's POV

"Hey Chris." I say, walking into the common room, but Chris looks upset and doesn't acknowledge me.

I move to sit down beside him, putting my hand on his back.

"Chris, what's wrong?" I ask and he leans into me, shaking his head.

"I need to know. I can't help you if you don't tell me." I kiss his cheek, rubbing his back.

"That group was talking...they...they said that you could do better than me, that even Matt was better than me." He sighs, putting his head on my chest and I get a bit angry. Why the hell would they say that? Chris is perfect.

"Wait here, okay? I'll be back in a second." I get up from the couch, going up to the group.

"Oh hey Y/N." One of the guys say as he basically sucks his girlfriend's neck blue and purple.

"Why the hell we're you talking about my boyfriend for?" I accuse, seeing them tense and straighten up more.

"He deserves so much better than you! Honestly it's pathetic how he clings to you like a lost puppy." One of the girls say, which makes my blood boil.

"Excuse me? He's amazing. Don't you dare speak about him like that! You don't know what he's like and I can tell you that he's perfect, inside and out." I shout, gaining the attention of a few others in the room, as the group fall silent, clearly embarrassed.

"Really? I think you should've gone for Matt, Chris is a nobody compared to him." The girl says again and out of rage, my fist meets her jaw, knocking her to the ground.

"You bitch!" She exclaims, her other friends going to help her, whilst her boyfriend comes to me, slamming me into the wall, but I knee his stomach and he groans, falling onto one of the couches.

"Y/N! And you 5, principals office, now!" One of the teachers say and Chris comes up to me worried.

"You didn't have to do that baby." He says, checking me over for injuries, as he sees a cut on the back of my head from being slammed into the wall.

"They shouldn't say that shit about you when it's not true." I reply, my anger still pretty high, but Chris kisses my forehead, calming me down a bit more.

"I'll wait for you." He says, taking my bag, as the teacher escorts me to the principal's office, shaking her head in disappointment.

"So, what the hell are you 6 doing in here then?" The principal asks, crossing his arms over his chest, mirroring the teacher's disappointment.

"This bitch punched me and hurt my boyfriend!" The girl exclaims, her jaw bruising to match her hickies on her neck.

"Actually, you spoke badly about my boyfriend and your boyfriend has injured me as well." I state, seething with anger, her three friends standing there embarrassed and awkward, they didn't do anything and yet they've been dragged here.

"Okay, Y/N and you two have a 3 day suspension for bullying and violence, now out you go." The 3 of us groan, knowing we'd get yelled at by our parents later, but I'll just spend the night with Chris.

I walk out of the office seeing Chris there, his bag over his shoulder and mine in his hand as he passes it to me, then wraps his arm around my waist.

"3 day suspension." I mumble, I'm not sure why I'm angry, I could've been expelled, so I should count myself as lucky.

We start the walk home, Chris calling me badass for punching and kneeing them and a saviour for sticking up for him.

When we get to his house, he drops our bags down in his room, then picks me up and sets me down on the bathroom counter, finding some cleaning supplies and bandage.

"It's definitely gonna sting baby." He says and I nod, knowing the consequences of being shoved against a wall in a fight with that much force.

He starts cleaning it as gently as he can, but I can't stop the small winces and hisses of pain that slip from my mouth when he cleans a particular spot.

He finishes cleaning it, then wraps the bandage around my head, with the padding against the cut.

"You're ready for Halloween!" He exclaims, the bandage around my head making it seem like I'm a mummy, ready for trick or treating.

"That's funny Chris." I say, sarcasm laced in my voice as I hop off of the counter, collapsing on his bed.

"It really is. I'll do your Halloween costume this year." He replies, spooning me from behind, his head resting against mine, being careful of the injury.

"Nope, not happening." I state, causing him to groan and then whine like a toddler about the throw a tantrum.

As we continue to cuddle on his bed and debate on this year's Halloween costumes, Chris decides that's for the next 3 days he'll call in sick, so he can be at home with me.
