• ROGUE'S POV •

My gaze is then immediately snapped back to the middle of the arena when I hear Chapati talk through the mic. "Now, let's get to the 1 v 1 battles for today!"

Now:

• LUCY'S POV + Time Skip 2:00 pm / 2 hours later •

We took a lunch break after Day 1's event was over. Then we did some battles. First was Nobarly from Quatro Cerberus vs Risley Law from Mermaid Heel. I wasn't really interested in this battle. I just wanted to see either Fairy Tail, Sabertooth, or either of the new competition. The round ended in a tie, giving each team 5 points.

The next battle was Lyon Vastia from Lamia Scale vs Eve Tearm from Blue Pegasus. I wasn't that interested in this battle either, but it was nice to see Callista so into the battles. By the time the games are done, she's gonna lose her voice. Not much to my surprise, Lyon won, earning 10 points for Lamia Scale.

Now all the guilds I'm looking forward to watching is left. "Next round, from Sabertooth, we have Orga Nanagear!" Chapati announced. That's gonna be tough for whoever's facing him. Orga steps out into the arena, earning him cheers from the audience. "Versus Remo Ekon of Meraki Parastin!" Let's see who this Remo is.

A tall, tan young-looking guy stepped out into the arena. Though he wasn't bulky, he was definitely muscular. He had brown, shaggy hair and sparkling gray eyes. He wore a black hoodie under green overall-like clothing. He had metal shoulder plates on each of his shoulders and slim metal gloves. He wore black and silver boots that covered his shin. On his left upper arm, about where his tricep is, he had his green guild mark. (imagine without the sword. the side of his arm that u can see is where his guild mark is \/)

I wonder what his magic is.

"I want a good clean fight, kabo!" Mato exclaimed on the sidelines. "Fight!" A bell dings, indicating the fights begin.

"Alright! Let's do this!" Remo laughed joyfully as he got into a battle stance. Why's he so excited? He's fighting against Orga! "Earthquake!" Remo exclaimed as a magic circle appeared beneath his feet. The ground began to shake uncontrollably, making me worried if it would be safe to stay up here on the statue, though Remo seemed unaffected. "Beast Soul: Dryad!" Remo was quick to cast spells side by side. He started glowing brightly as he ran towards the tumbling lightning god slayer. Suddenly, the earthquake stopped and the light around the mysterious new guy disappeared, leaving a terrifying tree monster with a glowing green light coming from its mouth and eye sockets. 

So he uses earth magic as well as beast soul, huh?

"Woah! Look at that monster! He's so cool!" Callista cheered happily as I just chuckle as her childishness.

Remo extended his tree arm, striking Orga as he struggled to regain his balance after the earthquake. Good strategy.

Orga quickly stood his ground as he held his arm up, aiming at his opponent. "120mm Black Lightning Cannon!" A streak of bright yellow lightning lined with streaks of black blasted out of his hand, moving quickly towards the monstrous tree. A huge cloud of dust surrounded the arena as the lightning made an impact upon its target.

The dust soon cleared, leaving nothing but a deep hole in the ground. 

"It seems Remo dug into the ground to dodge the attack," Hisui says, surprise evident in her voice. I was surprised as well. That attack moved quickly, how did he have enough time to dodge?

"It appears so," Yajima agreed.

"Where could Remo be?!" Chapati exclaimed, hyping up the crowd. Only a few seconds after he said that, Remo in his normal form popped out of the ground just next to Orga, sucker-punching him. Orga stumbled a bit but then he quickly regained his balancing, learning his lesson from what happened with the earthquake.

"Lightning God's Bellow!" Orga roared, black lightning shooting out of his mouth, hitting Remo at such a close distance, another cloud of dust surrounding them. No way he could've avoided that.

The dust cleared once again, showing Remo severely damaged. Remo then stood up straight, holding his arm out. "Earth's Pierced Shot!" He yelled. The ground around them broke into stones. Some soon combined with other stones in the form of an arrow, leaving 10 or so stone arrows floating in the air. Remo motioned his arm to the side, sending the stone arrows towards Orga.

"Lightning God's Charged Particle Cannon!" Orga shouted as he held both his arms out. Black lightning crackled at his fingertips just before a beam of lightning was sent forward, colliding with the stone arrows, obliterating them and moving forward to Remo.

"Iron Rock Wall!" Remo yelled as he moved his arms in an upward motion. The ground in front of him extended upwards, creating a wall between Remo and the black lightning that was coming towards him. The lightning collided with the wall, leaving nothing but dust as the crowd waited in suspense. 

"Beast Soul: Demon Gorilla!" I hear Remo as the dust continues to surround the contestants. There's a faint lighting in the cloud of dust that soon disappears. The dust settles, showing Orga and a gorilla wearing spiky armor made of bone. The gorilla's eyes were glowing orange and chains wrapped around its arms. 

I see everyone in the other guilds getting a little worried about what Meraki Parastin is capable of as Meraki Parastin's team members are simply cheering their teammate on. Though, Natsu seemed to be excited. Probably yelling about how much he wants to fight Remo afterward.

"Lightning God!" Orga started as he brought his hand up.

"Demon's Hell!" Remo began, lifting his gorilla fists into the air.

"Surging Storm / Doomed Fire!" They yelled at the same time as Orga brought down a fist and Remo punched the ground.

The ground cracked as the earth split, pillars of fire shooting upwards between the cracks, moving closer to Orga then exploding right beneath him.

The clouds turned dark gray as lightning crackled in the sky, a pillar of multiple thunderbolts crashing down on the target.

The crowd stared in awe at the battle, wondering who was going to win. Both contestants yelled in pain as their opponents spell damaged them. They both landed on the ground as Remo turned back to normal. They grazed against the ground as they were pushed back. They stopped themselves and stood back on their feet, ready to attack again.

* DING DING DING *

The bell chimes as the battle was now over, both participants tying with each other. The crowd cheers at the battle they had just witnessed, though both wizards were disappointed with not winning. 

"It's a tie! Both Meraki Parastin and Sabertooth will receive 5 points, kabo!" Mato exclaimed as the audience cheers even more. The contestants returned to their balcony and are instantly greeted with praise for their efforts. Despite not winning, they were still praised. At least Meraki Parastin isn't that kind of guild.

I had to give that Remo Ekon guy some props though. It'd be tough to stand your ground against someone from Sabertooth.

"For our next battle, we have Laxus Dreyar of Fairy Tail!" Chapati announced, causing Laxus to move from the balcony and onto the battlefield. Whoever goes against him is unlucky."Versus Splitforce's Kairius Triton!"

A pale, slim young guy came out into the arena. He had light blue unruly hair as well as blue eyes. He wore a serious expression,  which contrasted to his teammate's - Phedalea's - carefree personality.

He wore a blue and black long jacket with a black shirt underneath and black pants that had a small black pouch on the left leg. He wore a blue fingerless glove on his right hand while on the left hand was a black glove. On his right forearm, he wore a blue guard and he wore tall black boots with some blue lines.

His guild mark wasn't visible due to his clothes.

He didn't necessarily look like he could beat Laxus, but then again, don't judge a book by its cover. But Laxus is crazy strong, I doubt Kairius could beat him.

"Kick his butt mister sparky sparky boom boom!" Callista boomed, making me sweatdrop. I just simply chuckle before turning my attention back to the match.

• LAXUS' POV •

"Kick his butt mister sparky sparky boom boom!" My eyebrows twitch at that name. Though I have the urge to look for whoever said that, but I have a match to focus on.

"Let's have a clean fight, kabo!" Mato tells us. "Fight!" A bell chimes, telling us the round has begun.

I wait for him to strike first so I could find an opening, but he didn't seem to budge. After a few seconds of waiting, still nothing. Oh well. "Lightning Dragon's Roar!" I road, a streak of lightning coming out of my mouth, flying towards the unmoving target. 

"Water Wave!" Kairius motions his hand upward, sending a wave of water to collide with my lightning dragon's roar. A water wizard. This might prove to be a little more difficult than I originally thought.
