"Joile-san! I'm going on a job!" Piper smiled as she waved the flier. It was early in the morning, plus the S-class exams were coming up and a lot of the kids, teens, and young adults were out on missions.

"Have fun, be careful," Jolie bluntly said as she stared at the request board, Nab wasn't too far away. It was quite evident that the two sister-like duo have been gloomy ever since the four boys got back, it was unknown to them that Darren and Kai were working together to get their soulmates back.

They sat a couple tables away observing the two girls. "Go get her," Darren whispered.

"Yeah, I will," Kai grinned as he followed Piper.

Seeing Kai chase after Piper, Jolie let out a sigh. 'The kid is stubborn. I'll give him that,' she thought to herself. She rolled her eyes and smiled, if he wanted her back then Kai better treat Piper right.

"Now what would a beauty like you be doing standing alone?" A voice asked, breaking her out of her thoughts. She sighed and rolled her eyes, the man she dreaded talking to. Darren.

"Ugh, now what do you want?" She groaned.

Darren sighed, "Hmm... where do I start? I want you back. I want us back. I want the kisses, hugs, walks in the park, afternoon picnics, double dates, and late night talks back."

Jolie was taken aback by his answer. She was speechless for a bit until she got herself in check. "Darren. You know that I ca-"

"Yes you can princess. You're just not letting yourself," Darren interrupted.

Jolie's heart raced and ached at the same time. She didn't know how to react, and boy would she be lying if she said she wasn't on the verge of breaking down.

"I- you- well," she panicked, "Darren, I've told you already that-"

Mira seeing the scene unfold made her giggle and sigh. Her son sure does take after his father when it comes to being persistent, but knowing Jolie for a few years; she knows that the beauty needs time and space to make up her mind. She never did well under pressure.

"Jolie, I could use some help in the bar!" Mira exclaimed.

Both Darren and Jolie sighed; Darren was annoyed whilst Jolie was relieved. "I'll be right there Mira-san!" Jolie exclaimed.

After working in the kitchen for a bit talking to each other, Mira decided it would be a good time to ask the serious questions.

"So... what's going on with you and Darren?" She asked.

Jolie sighed and smiled. "I don't know... he wants to get back together, but I promised myself to not fall in love again. I just don't want to get hurt," She responded.

Mira giggled, "Ara Ara~ My son is quite persistent, but he loves you a lot, Jolie. You should give it some time, but just know that he's waited for you when you were kidnapped by Blake. He'll wait again."

Jolie gave her a small smile and went back to cooking.

It was 11 p.m.

Everyone left... or so Jolie thought. She was just finishing up cleaning the kitchen until she heard a voice. His voice.

"You're never gonna get me!" Jolie laughed as she sped away on her small broom.

"Huh? That's not fair!" Darren huffed as he saw her speeding off so fast. I took a while, but he finally got hold of her. "Hah! Got you!"

Jolie smiled and pecked Darren on the lips. "Hah! Distraction, tag you're it!"

After the thankful encounter at the Grand Magic Games Jolie ranted to Darren about Blake. Hours were spent crying into Darren's chest, his arms comforting her in any way possible.

"Jojo, I'm here. It's okay, I'll always protect you. I promise," he whispered as he intertwined his fingers with hers.

"Thank you," she silently sobbed.

Jolie sighed, debating whether she should go up to him. She knew Darren better than she knew herself, she knew that he knew she was there.

As if on cue, he looked at her and sadly smiled. The Brunette gave the same look back and made her way towards him. Jolie sat next to Darren as he began to play the guitar again.

An eighteen year old Jolie and Darren walking hand in hand in Magnolia park. The boy was lost in his own mind as he looked at Jolie smiling as she talked about the upcoming grand magic games.

"My god I love you," Darren accidentally thought out loud.

Jolie stopped as she looked into Darren's eyes. Her mind tried to process what he had just told her, she smiled. "I love you too darling."

She sighed and rested her head on Darren's shoulder, "I talked with your mom today..." she stated, "and I'm honestly willing to give you a second chance."

Darren almost choked on his spit, "I thought you—"

"I said I didn't want to get hurt, right?" Jolie interrupted. Darren nodded and looked at Jolie's hands, he smiled as he saw the promise ring. "I trust you with my heart, please don't leave me again," Jolie quietly mumbled.

Darren smiled and lifted her chin so that she would face him. "Not this time. I promise," he whispered as he leaned in and kissed the brunette.
