Snotlout's POV

This is bad. As in, very bad. I ran across the entire village looking for Astrid because I have to warn her about something that I don't want to get. Ever since I stopped liking her, everything is still the same. After I ran across the village, I decided to find her in the cove since she's not around at this time of day. I ran towards the woods to find her carrying an ax and a basket of fish for her Light Fury Luna. "Astrid! Astrid!" I called her out and she got my attention. I got tired from running and I hold my hand to tell her that I need to breathe before talking. "Astrid, bad news," I said through my breath. "What is it, Snotlout? Spit it out!" Astrid said. "I heard my dad, Uncle Stoick, and your dad talk about an arranged marriage between me and you, and it would take place when we are close adults. I also heard that they will tell us about it when we come back," After I told her everything, Astrid was shocked at first, then her face turned to anger, and throw her ax at the nearest tree making me spooked. "I can't believe it! Putting us in this situation without our permission?!" She shrieked as she picked her ax back. "What are we gonna do? Our parents won't say no if we told them that we don't want to," I asked worryingly. Astrid was walking in circles thinking until she stopped meaning she had an idea. "I had an idea. But, this could mean you will never see me again next time," She said and I realized what she meant. "you mean, you're running away?" I asked. "Like Hiccup did? Yes," Astrid answered before walking to the cove. "If you're leaving, then I'll come too," I said making her stopped in her tracks. "I don't care if I had to stay here because I'm the heir of Berk. This work is too much pressure for me. When I realized this, I wanted to forgive Hiccup for my mistake. He's my cousin after all," As I said this, Astrid dropped her ax and the basket and places her hands on my shoulders. "Go pack and meet me at the arena by evening," That's what she only said before she left to the cove. As I was to turn around and head back, I heard a twig snapped. I look around and find no one in the woods. Afterward, I ran back to the village ignoring the people as I head back home and start packing.

Astrid's POV

I can't believe what Snotlout just told me! Arranged marriage?! My body is started to boil with anger. When I reached the cove, I dropped my ax and head down to see Luna waiting for me. I dropped the basket for her to eat the fish and I sat on a boulder thinking of what to do after what I thinking of running away. I was lost my thought when I heard a feminine voice which turned out to be the voice of my Light Fury. "Is something wrong, Astrid?" Luna asked and I sigh. Since I found out I'm a Dragonwalker, I can communicate with her and the Dragonese language without any trouble. "Snotlout told me that our parents are arranging a marriage of us and we don't like it. And we decided to ran away from this island," I explained as I lay down on the boulder. I looked at Luna to see her shocked yet worried face before licking me and I giggled. "You know, running away would be a good idea since they would find out that you and your mother becoming Dragonwalkers," She said. "Yeah. Also, I was thinking. If I ever ran away, I would have no problem with my dad and my uncle," I said. "What was your problem with them?" She asked. "Well, they forced me on becoming a shieldmaiden and my mom didn't like it. They even abused me for failing my training against my childhood friend Hiccup. When we were ten, my dad forced us to be separated and no longer being friends anymore. Although I still missed him, dead or alive out there. And I wanted to have a better life without any bad endings facing me," As I said it, Luna embraced me to comfort me from my memories. "Don't ever think about it, Astrid. All of those problems would only brainwash you and made your life miserable. You have to move on as a free spirit," Luna said and I was so relieved I could hug her back a little tightly. "Thanks, Luna. That feels better," I told her and she gave me a gummy smile which made me laugh. "It would be better if we go on another flight before start packing," Luna said and I agreed as I mounted her and we took off blending in with the clouds in the sky.

The sun is about to set as I head back to my house in the village when I heard the commotion inside. I placed my ear at the door and all I heard was my parents arguing. "What do you mean disagreeing with the marriage?! This could be a good opportunity for Astrid to become a woman with a man by her side!" I heard Dad said. "Harold, please! Astrid is not like that! And besides, you put too much pressure on her to adjust it!" Mom yelled back. "No! This is her life! She will marry Snotlout and that's final!" As Dad said, I had enough with his words as I slammed the door open with force startling both my parents. "I had enough with you, Harold," I said aggressively to my so-called father before storming into my room, closing it, then start packing.

In the middle of packing, I heard a slight knock at my door which I knew was my mom by opening it. "What do you want, Mom?" I asked. She looked behind me and knew what I was doing, then she pulled out her Light Fury pendant before putting them over me. "Stay safe out the, my Light," Mom said before pulling me to a hug and I hugged her back meaning I would miss her. After she helped me packing, I snuck out of the window before heading to the arena where I told Snotlout to meet him there. As I was about to reach the arena, I can see Snotlout without his helmet on holding his belongings before he noticed me. Once we reached the arena, we were about to open the gates, only being caught by a low and shyish voice behind us. "Snotlout? Astrid?"

Snotlout's POV

Great. Just great. We were expecting to get caught and tell the chief about our actions. When Astrid and I turn around, we were surprised to see Fishlegs and the twins with bags on their backs. "We heard what you are planning that time," Tuffnut spoke. "Yeah. Why are you guys don't like getting married?" Ruffnut asked. "Well, to answer that, we have to find Hiccup in another way," I answered. "Snotlout's right. That's because we found out about his secret and his disappearance, and we need to find him to fix our mistakes," Astrid added. "You guys got the point there. But, Why are you guys here if you guys are going to run away?" Fishlegs asked. "Well, this is our plan. We run away, by riding dragons," As I answered it, the three were surprised to realize what I have meant. "No way. Riding on a dragon? That would be cool," Tuff said. "Me too, Brother," Ruff agreed. "If you guys want to ride dragons, then you have to follow us before you do it," Astrid said, then we opened the gates and release the dragons before calming them down and trust us.

After we got our dragons and mounted them, we flew out of the arena and head to the woods where Luna is at the cove. Once we landed there, Fishlegs and the twins were in awe to see Astrid's dragon in front of them. "Is that a..." Fishlegs trilled. "A Light Fury? Yes. Guys, meet Luna," Astrid answered as the white dragon licked her. "Awesome," Fishlegs said in excitement as Tuffnut steps closer. "Can I touch her?" He asked stupidly. Astrid agreed and Tuff do what we taught him and the others before Luna earned his trust. After Astrid settled in, she mounted her dragon and flew off while we follow her with a non-rider Deadly Nadder catching up to us.

Astrid's POV

We've been in the air flying from island to island for an hour, and I know that the dragons are exhausted. Although, we've been quiet through this flight. "Hey, guys! There's an island ahead of us!" Tuffnut said breaking the silence as we saw an island nearby. "Perfect. We should settle in there for the night," I said as we flew straight there. We set our sleeping bags on the ground while Snotlout and Tuffnut went out to grab some wood, then we fed the dragons with the fish we brought. Once we settled in, I was about to get to bed when Snotlout asked me. "Are you still gonna keep that secret from us?" He asked about my form. "Don't worry. I'll be fine," I said showing him my earrings and he understands before went to bed. I look at Luna who was sleeping next to me which makes me smile before I hop into bed in my sleeping bag.

I slowly woke up from the morning dawn as I can feel Luna is licking me. "Good morning, Luna," I said. "Good morning, Astrid," Luna replied. I was about to get up and make some breakfast when I heard Ruffnut woke up. "It's too early, Astrid," She said. "Morning, Ruffnut. And I can't go back to sleep because we have to find him," I said as I prepare the fish. When the boys and the dragons are already up, we started eating breakfast as I look at the sunrise thinking of what would Hiccup react to us training dragons and apologizing to him. Will he forgive us? Or will he still hate us? "Astrid, you're thinking of him, right?" I heard Snotlout asked sounded worrying. "Yeah. I mean, what would his reaction if he sees us in this?" I said as I kept eating my breakfast. "I agree with Astrid. It's hard for us to explain to him how did we end up like this," Fishlegs said and the twins agreed as well. Luna nuzzled me with her snout and I petted her. "I hope he's out there somewhere," Ruffnut said, then I had an idea. "Snotlout, what was the last dream you told me?" I asked him for a hint. "The last dream I believed is that Hiccup discovered his mother. Why did you ask?" Snotlout said surprising Fishlegs and the twins and realized why he changed. "Do you have any idea where he went before he met her?" I asked. "Well, I think he went north outside the archipelago," He replied. "That's where we gonna go," I heard Luna said. "that's right, girl. That's where we gonna go," I said to make the gang understand.
