Snotlout's POV
I walked to the woods to clear my head as I escape from all of my problems with my dad and Uncle Stoick. As I walked, I heard some roars and laughs out of nowhere. I followed where it comes from, and I suddenly saw a beautiful cove upon me. I looked down to see where the sound came from, and to my surprise, I saw Astrid with a white dragon that was looked like a Night Fury. Astrid was playing tricks with the dragon as the dragon was impressed by the techniques Astrid had made. I was surprised about what she did to it, and I started to think that if I decided to train a dragon when no one is around me, I would let Astrid trust me if I can. I was walking on my way to the forge when I came back to the village when I saw Astrid's mother Ingrid approaching me. "Hey, Snotlout, have you seen Astrid? I need to talk to her about something important," She asked. "No, I haven't seen her," I lied but Ingrid dramatically stares at me demanding the truth. "Okay, just please don't kill me. And yeah, I saw her in the woods," I said while surrendering. Ingrid smiled and placed her hand on my shoulder saying, "Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me," Then she gave me a wink before heading to the woods. Oh, Thor, Astrid is going to kill me when she finds out.
Astrid's POV
I was playing with Luna for a while as in before sunset when I heard a twig snapped behind us. I had my ax ready if there would be a Viking and Luna was ready to see her eyes slit. But then, I was shocked to see my mom behind the rock near us. "So, I can see that you are training a feminine unholy offspring of lightning and death," She said crossing her arms. "M-Mom, I can explain," I stuttered panicking as I dropped my ax, then she just laugh making me and Luna confused. "That's okay. The reason why I'm here and I'm okay with you training with that dragon is that I wanted to tell you something important. And you will regret this," She said as her expression turned from happy to worry and serious. She grabbed my shoulders and placing her lips on my forehead. By doing that, some flashbacks are coming through my head, and I found out what was that about.
~Flashback~
A group of villagers is in a rush preparing and packing everything they can when a certain queen and her best friend walk in the great hall holding their baby hatchlings in their arms. "Sweetheart, are you sure we have to do this?" The queen asked her husband. "I'm sure, my love. If we keep living like this, that dragon hunter will hunt us down causing our tribe will be genocide," The king said. "What are we gonna do right now?" The queen's friend asked. "We'll go to somewhere where the dragons are hidden for our safety, and make a story about our extinction," The king said. "We'll come too," The queen's friend said. "No, both of you can't. It would be more dangerous if he finds out about the hatchlings," The king warned as he gently touching his hatchling who was giggling to the touch. "No. Please. I can't lose you," The queen said as tears flowing out of her eyes. The king gives his wife a peck on her head before giving a peck on his daughter before he gives her and the queen's friend's hatchlings two pairs of pendants, black and white.
"This will remember where you come from. But only the dragons know what it is," The king explained as he handed them. "I will miss you," The queen said as their child was laughing confusingly about what's going on. "I will miss you too," The king replied as he places his forehead to hers. Once it's done, the king told the mothers 'go' and they ran with their hatchlings as they make it to an airboat filled with necessaries and emergency kits before they took off leaving their only home behind.
~Present~
I woke up from a sudden flashback and I was shocked to realize what it means. "So, that means..." I trilled before my mom nodded as she shows me her black pendant with the symbol of the Light Fury. I covered my mouth in shock as tears flow from my eyes. My mom hugged me for comfort, and Luna joins the hug. "I'm so sorry, Astrid. I should have told you this sooner. Your grandmother and I kept that secret to Vikings to protect ourselves and blend in with them. I hope you would forgive me," My mom said wiping my tears off. "It's okay, Mom. I understand," I replied smiling at her. Luna was happy as she showed her gummy smile at us and laugh from that moment. "Did dad knew about this?" I asked. "Unfortunately no. The only Hooligans who know and are part of my former tribe are Gothi and Valka," She answered and I was surprised to hear Hiccup's mom's name. "Hiccup's mother?" I asked and she nodded. "Well, I would have told you that Valka was related to the royal blood with Gothi," My mom said. "Wait, what?!" I exclaimed. "Yeah, that's the truth," She replied. I was now inside a brainstorm to solve the theory until I realized what Hiccup is supposed to be. "So, let me get this straight. You're telling me that Gothi used to be the queen of that tribe making Valka the lost princess when the war takes place. If I'm right, then that means Hiccup was supposed to be the prince and the heir of an abandoned tribe from outside the archipelago," As I said, she agreed to my answers and hugged me again. After we spend our time in the cove, the sun is about to set as we left to go home. "Astrid, before we go, I needed you to wear this, to prevent becoming one of them," My mom said as we stopped before giving me a pair of silver earrings that resembles the head of a Night Fury.
I nodded understandably before wearing them on my ears before heading back to the village and pretend as like nothing happened.
Hiccup's POV
I was sitting at the edge of the ice spike watching the dragons roaming around the sunset when hear Toothless joins me. "What's in your mind, Hiccup?" Toothless asked. "I don't know Toothless. But, I was thinking about what would the Dragon Princess looks like," I said. "Hhmm, well to me, the Dragon Princess is supposed to have divine beauty or something?" Toothless said. "'Divine beauty?' You are reminding me of Astrid," I said scratching his head. "Whatever, Hiccup. You still missed her, right? After what had she done to you?" He asked as he starts to lick me. "Yeah Bud, I know. No matter she threatens me or not, I still missed her," I replied. "Yeah, like a lot," He said sarcastically. "Hey!" I snapped and Toothless laughed. "Hey, boys! You better head back to the cave or you will miss dinner!" We heard the voice of my sister calling at us. "Race you there!" I said to Toothless as we ran back to the cave leaving trails of scales from our bodies.
Me, my mom, Hannah, Toothless, and the Stormcutter-known as Cloudjumper- are inside the cave eating dinner with fish and talk about new dragons beyond the archipelago. It's been two months since I told them about what happened while I'm back on Berk. My mom was furious about how my dad treated me like that, and Hannah swears that if I was threatened by my bullies she would kill them for sure. As for me, the Dragon Prince, the alpha told me that I had to wait until the Dragon Princess comes along. It took a while but it takes time for me to roam around the nest. Mom and Hannah taught me how to become a Dragonwalker since they told me that Mom used to be a member of an abandoned tribe outside the archipelago alongside Gothi, and I suddenly found out that she was the lost princess, meaning I'm the heir to that tribe known as the 'Night Furies.' I mean, don't get me wrong about that name. The tribe and the Night Fury dragons are named after the first king a.k.a. my ancestor, Night Terror Fury I the Protector. Mom even gave me a white pendant with the symbol of the Night Fury. And most of all, like dragons, Dragonwalkers are intelligent Vikings or Hybrids. They even made inventions, potions, mechanical buildings, and machines on what they called 'Steampunk.' They are crazy geniuses like I am myself. For those past few months, I helped both Hannah and Mom freeing the dragons from Trappers who sells them in the Northern Black Markets, and from the Madman named Drago Bludfist, and we even explored almost the entire outer archipelago rescuing dragons from afar. Still, I'm getting used to this dragon stuff anyways. When nightfall came close, we all went to sleep. But, how could we sleep if we went into dragon form? Well, we slept as dragons do. We also used that form so nobody including Berk who we are. Well, except being a Night Fury of course. Everything around the nest is great...until...there's someone I wasn't expected to see.
