Astrid's POV

It's been two months since Hiccup missing or died, or should I say he ran away from Berk, everything suddenly changed. The twins stopped pranking around because Hiccup was responsible for that stuff. Fishlegs was upset because he knew Hiccup was the only person to hear and learn about dragons. Stoick locked himself in his house devastated a few weeks after he thought Hiccup died and his brother Spitelout must do the chief job while Stoick was down until the chief was back on track again, only this time that he was seeking revenge on the Night Fury for killing him. Gobber is disappointed that Hiccup was his only apprentice because he was responsible for all of the weapons in Berk. without him, all of the weapons are very spoiled. Snotlout has another story. When Stoick choose him to become chief, at first for him he was excited. But a few weeks later, Snotlout was kinda not feeling well. When I eavesdrop on them, I felt bad for him because he was being yelled at by his father and the chief. That confused me, ever since that incident, he stopped thinking about himself and he stops flirting with me which was good but not too much, he also sometimes visits the forge during his free time when Gobber was not around, and that makes me understand that he felt guilty for bullying Hiccup in the past. As for me, I still missed Hiccup. Only me, Gobber, and Fishlegs believed that he's still out there alive, and we make sure that it's true by waiting for him to apologize. Even though I love him deeply, I can't say that word to anyone, except for Gothi because she trusts the people she cares about.

This early morning right now was another raid. The Vikings tried their best to capture the dragons from stealing the food, while the rest and the gang are putting the fire out when someone yelled, "Night Fury!" "Get down!" A sudden plasma blast came out of nowhere destroying the towers above as something flies by the sky. I look very close to see what it is, and to my surprise, it was a Night Fury, but, it's white. "I've never seen that dragon before!" "Me neither!" I heard the twins said as Fishlegs approached me. "I never think of that as a Night Fury, but a...but a..." "Light Fury..." I finished his sentence before we heard a screech in the sky as we believed that the dragon was caught on a bola. I looked to see what the dragon was and the thing I see was a white figure falling towards the woods. I'm guessing it was that Light Fury dragon. Once the raid was over, everyone started fixing the village while the young ones like me and the gang watched them by. I started to remember that the Light Fury shot down to the woods, and that's what I'm about to go. As I searched the whole Ravens Point, I suddenly heard a roar from the distance. I followed it carefully, and I was shocked to see a Night Fury or Light Fury in person. I had my ax ready just in case it attacks, as I was close to the dragon, the dragon's eyes shot open as its pupils were slit. Our eyes were locked like we were met before as I started to get nervous with the ax in my hand. Without realizing what I was doing, I used my ax carefully to cut the ropes of the bola. After I took it off, I stepped back making sure if the dragon would pull into another move. The Light Fury walks closer to me inches away from my face. Something in my mind was setting me something as I realized I pushed my ax away from us, and what happens next is something weird. The dragon's eye pupils turned from vicious and slit into big and adorable. Our eyes were locked again as I realized that dragons aren't vicious beasts. Dragons are intelligent, gentle, and curious creatures and that's why there were dragon raids. Their queen ordered them to hunt food for her. I started to reach the dragon but the dragon looked away suspiciously. I was thinking, I looked away leaning my hand to the dragon nervously. That is when I felt scales on my hand. I took a peek and saw that the Light Fury's snout on my hand. I was amazed by the experience I stood up petting the dragon, and when I realized that if the Vikings find us, then we'll be dead. "Okay then, I guess we should find something to keep you hidden from the village," I said to the dragon, then I remembered that there was this cove in the woods. So, I escort the dragon through the wood until the cove was in sight. The dragon flew down and I followed it as I carefully walk down the rocks. I know this place and that is the place where I found out that Hiccup did run away instead of dying.

~Flashback~

The third day of the search party on finding Hiccup. I was throwing my ax at the trees to clear my anger out when I saw something close by. As I walked closer, I was in awe by the view of the beautiful cove. I carefully stepped down the rocks to reach the lower grounds, and from the moment I saw blood on the ground. Just as I touch it to suspect, something is wrong with my mind. By touching it causing my vision to flash and to the point of view seeing the black Night Fury joyfully eating a pile of fish as there was a boy who was walking closer to the dragon's tail. And to my sense that the boy turns out to be Hiccup. As I was about to think, a flash came again and my vision went back to normal. "What was that?!" I thought out loud. I walk around the cove to find more evidence, then I felt a light reflects at me. I followed where the light comes from and a strange object with the light was reflected in the lake. As soon as I pick it up, my vision flashes again and this time, I saw Hiccup reaching a raw fish to the Night Fury when it growls at him. Hiccup pulled out his knife and throw it near the lake, and that's when the dragon's pupils turned big. My vision was off again as I realized I was holding a knife with the words 'H.H.H.3' on it which I believed was Hiccup's knife. I look around again to see something weird to me. There were scribbled lines all over the small rock with a broken tree on the side and a stick next to the drawing of a Night Fury. I touched the line mark and my vision flashed again. This time, Hiccup was in front of the Night Fury trying to reach it but it back off suspiciously. Hiccup looked away closing his eyes and letting his hand reach the dragon which accepts him. The flash was off and I was surprised that Hiccup was befriending a Night Fury. I suddenly saw some scales on the ground at the other side of the cove. Once I picked it up, the flash is back again. I saw Hiccup holding a basket as he came into the woods in the middle of the night. He strapped the basket on the Night Fury, then he mounted it before they flew away without looking back. And that's how I figured that Hiccup ran away from Berk.

~Present~

I make sure that the Light Fury is safe from the village after I let it stay in the cove while I head back to do my job and train for the next Dragon Training so nobody would get suspicious.

Nightfall came, and I sneakingly went to the woods holding a basket of fish to feed the Light Fury. When I reached the cove, the Light Fury sits up as I came in, then I drop open the basket letting the fish fall in front of it. The dragon walks closer to suspect the fish before eating them properly. Wait? Properly? So, I assumed that the Light Fury was a girl. I petted her gently and she releases a sound of a purr from her mouth. "Maybe I should give you a name. Is that sound good?" I asked the intelligent creature and she happily agreed. "Hm, what should I name you?" I thought, then something hit us from above. I looked up as saw a full moon appeared from the dark clouds, and that's how I got her a name. "Why not I call you 'Luna'?" I asked the dragon and she noticed it and she started to lick me as I laughed. "I'll take that as a yes," I said.

Snotlout's POV

Great. Another mistake for the third time this week. I was just trying to help Sven to get the sheep back from the woods when they broke out from the broken fence, but my dad and Uncle Stoick told me to don't help them. They still force me to do chief thingy after Hiccup was dead, or gone. I also started to get some strange feelings and I was thinking about the dreams I had for the past few months. I was dreaming about Hiccup training the Night Fury and he uses his new experience to get past the Dragon Training making Astrid jealous, and I dreamed about him running away with the dragon which I presume the dragon's name was Toothless, then the next scene, Hiccup was shocked that a Viking with a mask and dragons was his mother. At first, I thought it was just a dream, but the truth, I felt that it was true. Because of that, my behavior started to change. I didn't flirt with Astrid lately because I started to get no feelings for the shieldmaiden, and I started to feel bad for the dragons who are caged in the arena. I went to the forge and to make sure that Gobber was not around since the last I saw him that he was at the Great Hall eating breakfast with Uncle Stoick, then I pulled out a sword to sharpen it. I don't know why, but that would relieve the disappointments that I was caused. While I was working, I felt someone was staring at me and I knew that by the sound of her feet and ax. "Why are you here?" I asked as Astrid walked into the forge. "I saw you coming to the forge every week when Gobber's not around," Astrid said as she handed me her ax to sharpen it. I sigh, "Well, I'm feeling great at first the last two months, but turns out training as chief was too much pressure. For the last time, I tried my best to help the village with anything they need, but my dad and the chief tried me to be like a leader instead of being like Hiccup," I explained as I handed her back her ax after sharpening it. "I thought you are going to say Fishbone," Astrid said. "I can't. That's because I had a weird feeling about my dreams last month," I said. "Tell me," Astrid suggested. "Well, I was dreamed about Hiccup training a Night Fury who I presumed to be named 'Toothless', then the other scene is that Hiccup ran away with the dragon which I believe was the night where Uncle Stoick planned a search party for him, then the other scene shows that Hiccup discovered his mother was alive," As I said that, Astrid started to think about it. "I think I discovered that when I came into a cove while I was training," She said. "You did? And where's the cove?" I asked. "You don't wanna know," She replied before she left with her ax on her shoulder, and I was stood back confused about what she saying.
