(Poppy's POV)

This whole week, Dandy has been talking about a new toon. Dandy couldn't stop talking about the new toon that would be joining us. I was excited to meet a new toon join the crew. Dandy personally invited every one of us to a gathering to meet this new toon in the auditorium at 5 PM sharp.

 I also heard that Dandy had some difficulty getting Sprout to come to the gathering but the moment Dandy mentioned that Cosmo would be going, Sprout immediately stayed he would be delighted to go, without a second to spare. 

I've also heard that Cosmo and Sprout have been seeing each other for some time now but no one really knows. They could be seeing each other on the low or, they could just be really close friends. But who knows, they are just rumors after all.

While I picked out my best dress, I thought about my makeup and how I should dress up as perfectly as I could. This time I wouldn't let Glisten outshine me like last time. Last party, me and Glisten made a bet to see if we could impress Vee. As I decided to wear my pink dress and my pink bow, I applied my makeup and walked out of my room towards the auditorium, strutting confidently on the way there. 

I got there to the auditorium at around 4:45 PM. I opened the doors to the auditorium and it was pretty full. Almost all the toons were here, except for Tisha and Shelly.

There were six tables in the auditorium. Four of the six tables were near the corners of the auditorium and the fifth was in the dead center of the auditorium. The sixth table was on the side of a wall. It had a bunch of delicacies. I saw a bunch of toons talking with other toons, some toons eating some food that Dandy put out until it was time for the party.

I saw a group of toons stand out, in one of the corners of the room. I headed in their direction. Once I got close enough, I saw Vee, Glisten, Sprout, Cosmo, and Astro were talking about the new toon. As I got closer, I  struck up a conversation.

Poppy: Hey guys! What'cha guys talkin' about?

Vee: Hey Poppy, we were just talking about the new toon, care to join us in our conversation?

Astro: Hi Poppy

Glisten: Hey darling, what do you think about the new toon Dandy has been foreshadowing this whole day?

Poppy: I don't know Glisten, but I can't wait to meet 'em

Glisten: Well that's nice to hear! Well back to what I was saying, Vee. If you want to give Shelly a gift, it should probably be something she likes, like a dinosaur plushie or an excavation brush.

Vee: Well I don't know what to get her but a plush nor a brush would not suffice.

Astro: Well maybe Vee, maybe make her something handmade.

Vee: Calculating... then what do you recommend I make her, Astro?

Astro: Maybe a plush of you and her.

Vee: Thanks for the recommendation Astro!

Then after that, Sprout and Cosmo talked about the cake they made for the party. We talked about a variety of topics, such as beauty products, code, and rest until it was officially time for the new toon to be revealed. 

As we found a table to sit at, We all chatted until Dandy appeared on stage and began talking.

Dandy: Hello everyone, I have gathered everyone here to introduce you all to the newest member of Gardemview, Boxten! 

As Dandy said this, a shy, timid, purple music box walked out from the red curtains and stood next to Dandy, towering over the rainbow-colored dandelion.

Boxten: H-Hello everybody...

Boxten, our new toon, immediately began to stutter his words and sweat immensely. He then ran behind the curtains of the auditorium, hiding behind them. 

Glisten: Well looks like we have a shy one.

Poppy: Don't be so rude now, Glisten

Glisten: *sighs* Whatever...

As Dandy went to go look for Boxten, we all formed in line to get food, leaving behind Shrimpo and Vee at the tables. As I was in line for food, I noticed Shelly and Tisha walking into the auditorium chatting, looks like they were a bit late to the event due to them talking to each other. After we got our food and drinks, Dandy then came back onto the stage.

Dandy: Sorry for the holdup, folks. It looks like Boxten ran off somewhere. So I guess you guys can just finish up whatever you guys are doing and go back to your rooms.

After he said that, Dandy went backstage once more but this time, he never came back. But after we ate and threw away our trash, Tisha cleaned up with the help of Shelly. The rest of us decided to go back to our rooms. After I exited the auditorium doors, I caught myself feeling bad for Boxten. I then decided to go find him myself to get to know him better.
