(Boxten's POV)
I ran as fast as I could from the auditorium to wherever my room was. I tried to figure out where my room was while running, which was a hassle. I didn't know the outline of this place. Heck, I didn't even know where the exit was.
The hallways were twisting and turning, which wasn't helpful to me. Eventually, after tiring myself out, I found myself in the same hallway I was in minutes before. I felt bad for Dandy, who spent so much time trying to organize that whole party for me, and I just messed it up. Dandy had said it was a struggle to get everyone there, as they were all pretty busy.
As I continued walking, I eventually found the toon's room with some luck. I sighed with relief and quickly ran to my room opened the door and locked it with the key Dandy had given me when we first met.
As I entered my room, I threw the keys on the nightstand near my bed. I stood over my bed and plopped myself onto the bed and zoned out of existence. Some minutes hours or even days went by. I didn't really know or care that much. When I heard a knock at the door.
I froze. I stood up and looked at the door. I started to panic a little on the inside. I dreaded opening the door. I didn't want anyone to see me right now and never again. I blamed myself for messing up the party for everyone. I felt like it was my fault.
After staring for a while whoever was at the door knocked again. With a bit of confidence, and some reassurance. I got up from my bed and slowly walked to the door with my confidence slowly deteriorating. I reached the door knob and turned it. I opened the door slightly to peek and see who was inside.
Boxten: W-Who is it...?
Poppy: Hey Boxten it's me, Poppy.
Boxten: Hi, Poppy... did you need something?
Poppy: Well I just wanted to see if you were okay
Boxten: W-Well I'm... okay...
Poppy: Are you sure?
Boxten: ...
Poppy: May I come in?
Boxten: Y-yeah come in.
I open the door to let Poppy into my room. After she enters, I close the door behind her.
As I close the door behind her, I see her looking around my room and she says.
Poppy: This is a nice room!
Boxten: Well thank you...
She kept looking around and then she asked if she could sit on my bed. Which I said yes to. After she was done looking around, she patted the area that was next to her signaling that she wanted me to sit. I walked awkwardly to her and sat next to her.
Poppy: So do you know why I wanted to come and talk to you?
Boxten: No...I don't know why you wanted to come and talk...
In my mind, I was already expecting what she would say, I immediately knew she would try and talk to me about what happened at the party. I began to worry about what she would tell me next.
Poppy: Well I just wanted to come see if you were okay considering what happened at the party...
As I heard that, my heart slowed down a bit, as I realized that she just wanted to know if I was alright after what just happened.
Boxten: Well . . . thank you for coming to see me. . . to tell you the truth,... I was a bit overwhelmed. I'm not very good in front of large crowds. I'm sorry, I just hope that I didn't ruin it for you guys...
Poppy: Oh no it's fine! You didn't ruin it! Don't blame yourself, as you said, you can't help it! I'm sure that the other toons think the same!
Boxten: A-Are you sure...?
Poppy: Positively sure!
Boxten: . . .
Poppy: You know I was just like you when I first came here too. As well as Brightney, Goob, and Even Vee!, though she won't admit it. Everyone here experienced the same things as you. It's okay to worry. But just to make sure don't tell her what I told you about her, she gets really defensive about that.
I began to feel better, she made me feel heard. It was nice to know that everyone had experienced what I had gone through.
Boxten: Well thanks,...Poppy, right?
Poppy: Yep, that's my name!
Boxten: Ok...well thank you, Poppy, for the kind words of yours
Poppy: Don't mention it! If you ever want to talk about it just come to my room. . . Well, I think . . . I should get going!
Boxten: Well I hope you make it back to your room carefully
Poppy: . . .Will do thank you! * she says as she blushes a bit*
Boxten: Ok bye!
Poppy: Bye, I guess, I'll see you around! *She said as she waved to me and then ran out the door holding her face with her hands*
I felt relieved that I had a friend with me. It was nice to know that I wasn't alone. Though whoever Vee or Goob or even Brightney was I wanted to meet them and have more friends. The thought of that was troubling. On the one hand, having more friends would be nice. But meeting them might just be a small problem. As I thought of that, I noticed a small, shiny, pink, metallic object on the ground. I wondered what it was as I walked toward it. Finally getting close enough to see it was a key. I picked it up, examined it, and noticed it was the same shape as mine, which was on the nightstand. It was weird. I decided I would give it to Poppy later after I decided what to eat.
