(Boxten's POV)

When I first woke up, everything felt heavy and blurry. After a while, it subsided. I was lying on the ground in a room, 3 of the 4 walls were covered in lavender wallpaper while one of the walls was a light navy blue color. With a light blue circle carpet with stripes, a couple of bookshelves, a desk, a lightish-purple bed, and a figure standing before me. When I composed myself, I stood up and looked at what was before me, which was a white-faced flower with light green limbs and rainbow-colored petals which brightened the atmosphere. I didn't know it at the time, but his name was Dandy.

Dandy: Hello there!

Boxten: Umm hi there...

An awkward silence filled the room.

Dandy: Man you sure are awkward

Boxten: yeah . . . where am I?

He then went on to explain how we were in a place called "Dandy's World," an entertainment venue where kids came and went. He told me a bunch of other stuff, and I just felt dizzy, so I asked him if I could sleep for now and we could continue another time.

Dandy: So that all of the main toons!

Boxten: Sorry to interrupt you . . . uhh . . . What was your name again?

Dandy: It's Dandicus Dancifer, call me Dandy for short.

Boxten: Well Dandy I'm tired could we continue tomorrow?

Dandy: Bu-*pauses* Well then I guess you could but I'll be back tomorrow I have a lot of people I want you to meet! I'll have an event for you tomorrow.

Boxten: Ok then

I didn't tell him that I was nervous.

I didn't tell him I would rather live in this small room for the rest of my life.

I didn't tell him that I was scared of meeting new people.

I didn't know why, but this sudden existence scared me. Did I exist beforehand, or did I pop out of nowhere? What do you do now in this dimension of sorts? Everything felt surreal.

As I lay in bed, overthinking what this reality was about, I slowly drifted to sleep.

The next day came, I woke up as the rays of the sun went through the glass window and hit my head. I got up from my bed and sat for a couple of minutes, remembering what happened the night before.

After a couple of hours which felt like minutes, I heard a knock on my door. I answered it and saw Dandy. I got up and walked to the door.

Boxten: Oh...hi Dandy

Dandy: Hey kid, I just wanted to say that I've arranged a special event for you, in the auditorium, to introduce you to the other toons! *He said in an ecstatic tone*

Boxten: Well...I don't think I'll be able to do it! I'm busy doing something...this whole day... *I said, trying to dodge the invitation*

Dandy: Oh come on! I know you don't have anything to do! *He walked right next to me and put his hand on my left shoulder* I know you can make it later, So I guess see you then! *He took his hand off of my shoulder and walked out of my room, closing the door behind him*

I started to sweat, the thought of being onstage made me extremely nervous. I started to falter my words trying to tell Dandy that talking to a group of people, even a single person, would make me anxious. I began to feel lightheaded. I asked Dandy if he could give me a minute.

 I started to walk around my room in circles, hoping that time would just stop to prevent me from going. Eventually, I heard a knock on my door again, I opened it and it was Dandy. 

Dandy: Hey bud, the event is in 10 minutes, are you ready to go yet? *He said with a smile*

Boxten: No...I'm not ready yet...can you give me about 15 more minutes before I go?

Dandy: Oh sure! I don't mind! Not at all!! *He said, looking agitated*

Boxten: Thanks...

Dandy: Well I guess see you in 15 minutes...! *He closes the door behind him a bit hard*

I decided to wear my best attire for this event because I didn't want to look bad for the people who don't even know who I am yet. After I got ready, I took a deep breath, left my room, and headed for the auditorium.
