"AAAAUGH!" Someone yelled as their footsteps grew louder on the wooden floor. I shifted my gaze towards the sound, a slim figure swung a weapon. I dodged their blow and gripped their hand, kicking their leg they tripped and fell. I pinned the slim person to the ground and twisted their arm. "I give up! I give up! Please spare my life!" I heard a familiar voice. "Ryoto?" I let him go. "(Y-your name)?!" He gasped and stood up. "Why were you attacking me?" I glared at him. "I-i was scared when you went away. . . So I grabbed the frying pan if something funny happens." Mitarai looked at the pan that lied on the ground.
"You're too loud. When attacking better keep your voice and footsteps down." I sighed. "When you plan to deal a fatal blow, aim for the neck and chest. If you want to knock someone out a good hit to the head will do the trick." I taught. "If the person has a gun, better watch out and try to escape. If they don't have weapon, be sure that they're hostile and attack if something fishy happens." I finished my brief explanation. "Please, teach me how to fight." Ryoto muttered. "Teach you what?" I grunted. "How to fight!" He yelled. "That's the spirit! Go change and meet me at the backyard." I walked away. "R-right now?!" He gasped. "Why delay?" I smirked.

"Try attacking me." I ordered. "I-i can't. . . You're my friend." Ryoto looked away. "Wimp." I punched him in the stomach as he fell onto the grass. "If the person started attacking you they're not a friend! Now get up and fight!" I yelled. "I won't fight a friend!" He yelled back. "Bad choice." I punched him in the face as his nose started bleeding. "Wanna try again?" I smirked. "Gah!" He clenched his fist and launched at me. I caught his fist with ease. "That's all you've got? Pathetic." I kicked him in the stomach. "Even a girl can beat you!" I scoffed as he fell on the ground yet again.
"Try again." I ordered. "I-i can't! I'm w-weak. . ." He sobbed. "Then die." I grumbled. "W-wha-" I grabbed him by the throat and picked him up. "Why shall I share my food and shelter with you if you're useless?" I scowled. "L-let. . . G-go. . ." He struggled in my grasp. "If you say you're weak, I don't need you! Only as a human shield." I mused with a sly grin on my face. "N-no. . ." He started crying. "Why?" I asked. "I d-don't. . . W. . . w-want to die. . ." Mitarai gritted his teeth. "Then fight! Fight untill your last breath!" Suddenly he kicked me in the stomach.
"Not bad. . . But you can do better then this." I stood up smirking. "Let me teach you ba-" Mitarai launched at me trying to punch me. I grabbed his wrists and pinned him down. "Listen to me." I said. "Keep your anger for your opponents, not me." Stretching my hand I helped him up. "Now, lesson number one, today I'll teach you how to block different attacks." I started.

~few hours later~

Ryoto fell on the grass panting and gasping for air. "Great job! Now you won't get yourself killed in two seconds." I chuckled. "Pick your sweaty ass up and let's grab something to eat." I helped him up as we walked inside. I quickly took shower and changed into fresh clothes. As I walked downstairs I heard a muffled yell. Rushing into the living room I saw Nagito and Ryoto fight. They rolled on the floor trying to pin each other down.
"Ahem. . ." I got their attention as they looked at me. "(Your name)! I wanted to visit you until this. . . Person tackled me." Nagito glared angrily at Mitarai. "Of course! You scared me to death when you popped out of nowhere!" Ryoto yelled.
"Guys! Calm down." I rubbed my temple. "What did you wanted?" I turned towards dandelion head. "Can we talk somewhere private?" He placed a hand on my waist pulling me close. "I. . . Umm. . . Sure!" I stuttered while blushing.

Both of us walked upstairs into his room. Nagito sat on the bed, me next to him. "So. . ?" I averted my gaze awkwardly. "Right! I'm such an idiot." He grabbed his hair while chuckling darkly. "I wanted to give you a gift." Nagito smiled. "Gift?" I asked as he took out a little black box. Opening it I saw a pair of cute silver earrings.

Without hesitation I wore them and dashed towards the mirror. I looked into my reflection as I smiled, they suited me perfectly. "Thank you, thank you. Thank you!" I hugged him tightly. "That's okay. I wanted to give you something for a long time now." Nagito blushed and looked away. "You look really cute." He blushed even more. "Aww! You're such a sweet talker!" I pecked him on the cheek. "A-anyway. . ." Nagito tried to calm his blush down. "How have you been? Is everything alright?" He faced me with serious expression. "Yea, got this two bad boys." I took out the bats I bought. "And I started training that wimp!" I smirked.
"Don't go hard on him. He's very meek, make sure he won't break." Nagito sighed. "Worry not! I'm a great teacher!" I raised my head proudly. "Yeah, haha. I know." He stood up and patted my head. "I should be going now." Dandelion opened the door and was about to exit until I grabbed his hand. "Where are you going? You always dissappear!" I pouted. "I can't tell you, sorry." He turned towards me. "But I promise, I'll check up on you every single day." Nagito smiled and went away.

Liar.

One month have passed. And he was nowhere in sight. Ryoto grew more confident as he got better in self defense. The city, no, the whole world started rotting. Despair was everywhere. In every country, in every city, on every street, in every person. We decided to stay in Nagito's house for a while now, it was risky but at least we had a shelter.
Today I woke up earlier as I had nagging feeling as if something might go wrong, but what? I wasn't hungry so I fed Kibo and plopped on the couch. The pup didn't eat either. "Lost your appetite?" I smiled weakly. Suddenly, Kiboinu started running around the house like crazy. He then came to a sudden stop near the main door as he growled at the poor piece of wood. "What-" then. . . I heard a knock.
"Mrs. (Last name)?" I couldn't recognize the voice. "We know you're there." The man spoke. I quickly picked up the puppy and rushed upstairs. Grabbing the prepared duffle bag I dashed into Mitarai's room. "We can hear your footsteps miss, better open now or we'll have to break down the door." The man growled.
When I entered my friend's room I saw him sleeping peacefully. I jolted towards him and shook him, trying to wake him up. "Huh? (Your name)? What are yo-" "Shut up! They might hear us." I closed his mouth as I whispered. "They?" He asked while rubbing his sleepy eyes. "On the count of five I'll open the door myself!" We heard the man yell.

"One."

"We must leave the house immediately!" I grabbed his hand. "Why?" He asked as he quickly changed from his pajamas into casual clothes.

"Two."

"They're the bad guys!" I whisper-yelled as I turned around facing away from him.

"Three."

"How do you know?!" Ryoto squeaked while fixing the collar of his sweater. "You think normal people will simply knock on the door and call my last name?!" I barked back.

"Four!"

"What if they're our neighbors?" Ryoto stopped whispering as he walked towards the main door and grabbed the doorknob.

"Fi-"

"No need to break the door gentlemen!" Mitarai opened the door smiling awkwardly. Behind the door stood at least fifteen man. All of them wore strict black and white tuxedos and had their haircut done. "How may we help you?" Ryoto smiled. "Simple request. Perish." All of them took out the guns and started firing at us. "Gah!" Ryoto got shot in his arm as I grabbed his shoulder and dashed onto the back yard. "Hold it!" I heard man yell. "Fast, behind the gate!" I opened the wooden gate and ran out, Ryoto behind me.

Multiple destroyed buildings were on our way as we ran downtown. "S-stop! I can't!" Ryoto yelled in pain. "Shut up." I growled and ran inside the building. It was a half destroyed supermarket. Entering the staff room I shushed Ryoto down and kept duffle bag along with Kibo on the ground. "Wait, let me help you." I opened the bag and started rummaging for a first aid kit. Picking the white box up I placed it next to me and opened. Taking out an antiseptic liquid, tweezers, cotton wool and a roll of bandages I closed the kit.
Picking tweezers up I poured an antiseptic onto the tool as I sweat dropped. "It might hurt, but please keep your voice down." My hands trembled as I saw the bleeding wound, Ryoto was whimpering in pain as he took fast deep breaths. "Actually, here." I took out a shirt from the bag and gave it to Ryoto. He kept the cloth between his teeth and nodded, prepared for the next.
Calming myself down I grabbed the tweezers and tried to get the bullet out with their help. Ryoto's muffled screams echoed around the empty room. "Got'cha!" I slowly removed the bullet and threw it away. Blood started gushing out of the wound as I quickly soaked a cotton wool into antiseptic and started bandaging his arm. "Done." I sighed and rubbed the sweat of my face. "T-t. . . T-thank. . . Y-you." Ryoto mumbled after ge removed his shirt from his mouth. He leaned his head on the wall taking feeb breath to calm himself. "Rest a bit." I patted him on the shoulder and packed all the things inside the duffle bag.

"They might catch up soon. Better find another hideout." I sighed. "But where? That house was the only safe place we had." Mitarai opened one eye. (𝚈𝚎𝚊𝚑! 𝚁𝚑𝚢𝚖𝚎!) "We definitely can't go back." I mused out loud. "How about we hide in Hope's peak?" Ryoto suggested. "No way. No way I'm going back there!" I clenched my teeth. "And, haven't you heard? It's blocked shut from the inside." I mumbled. "Someone's there?" He perked up. "Wait. Where were you all this month?! In a cave?!" I scoffed. ". . . No, I just don't like watching the news." He mumbled. "Me neither, but we must know what's happening around us, especially right now." I said.
"So, what happened?" Mitarai shifted his head towards me. "Killing game." I grumbled. "KILLING GAME?!" He yelled, eyes wide open. "Fifteen students are forced to stay in school till the end of their days, but, in order to get out they must "graduate". To do that, they must kill each other. Once the murder occurred class holds a trial, if the killer is found out he or she gets executed. If the killer gets away with murder everyone *but* the killer is executed. Therefore, the sneaky murderer "graduates" and leaves the school." I explained. "How come you know so much about it?" Mitarai raised his eyebrow. "It was broadcasted on the news channel. Let me be honest, it's kinda addictive watch how those fools try to kill each other and get out. Too bad they don't know the hell that awaits them." Picking the duffle bag up I helped Ryoto stand up.
"Does it hurt?" I examined his wound. "It does, but much better than before." He smiled. "Alright! We better go now. Kibo-" I looked around the room searching for a pup. The only thing I noticed was a slightly opened door. "Kibo!" I yelled running outside. "Kiboinu! Come here!" I called as my gaze darted from one aisle to another. "What if he-" "Shut up and search!" I yelled not wanting to hear his pessimistic assumptions.

While (Your name) and Ryoto were talking the little puppy smelled something. Someone, to be more precise. He poked his nose into the door trying to open it. Not waisting his time little Kibo dashed outside following the familiar scent. His little paws clattered on the asphalt as he ran behind the building. "Bark!" He startled a white haired young man. "Kibo!" Nagito picked the puppy up. The little dog started licking his owner's face as his tail was wiggling vigorously. "Now, now! You must go back to (Your name) and Ryoto." He placed the pup on the ground. Kibo started whining loudly. "Shh, shh!" Nagito tried to calm the pup down.
"Who's the good boy?" He patted little canine. "You are!" Marshmallow haired guy sighed. "Look what I have." He picked up a little stick. "Fetch!" Nagito threw the stick near the store. Kibo dashed after it following his master's command. When he picked the stick up pup felt two hands grabbing him. "Found you, thank goodness!" (Your name) sighed. "Let's go." She walked away until the little puppy bit her hand. "Ow! The hell?!" She groaned. Canine got free of her grip and ran towards his master.

Kibo suddenly ran away from me, I followed behind him. We stopped behind one ruined building as pup looked around sadly. "What's wrong buddy?" I crouched next to him. He whined until spotted something on the ground. I looked at the ground there was a sticky note attached to the crumbled concrete.

Tori street, building no. 28.
Flat 44
I'm sorry I couldn't protect you,
sweetheart.~♡

"Nagito. . ?" I picked the note up examining it. It was definitely his handwriting. "Let's go Kibo, we'll see him soon enough." I smiled and walked away, pup followed.

Tori street, huh?
