Ahsoka's pov
"Focus Omega. You have to close your eyes. Learn how to see without them. Picture the bar floating in your mind. You can do it. I believe in you." It seems like she needed to hear that last part. Her eyes remained shut. I felt a sudden surge of confidence course through her. The ration bar started to levitate just slightly. My eyes widened when it shot up and hit the roof of the ship. Um...

"Whoops. Guess that's not exactly what you had in mind huh?" She asked with a sheepishly small smile on her face. I merely chuckled and brought the ration bar back down in front of her.

"It seems your more powerful than I realized. You'll need to control that power if you want to become a jedi. Hmm maybe we should start with something simpler." I got up out of my seat and beckoned her to follow me to the back of the ship.

"Here. Put them on." I handed her a pair of noise cancelation headphones. They were huge on her probably because they were Hunter's. Speaking of Hunter he's been acting weird around me. But now is not the time to discuss it. I lifted off one side of the headphones so she could hear me for now.

"Sit down and relax. Today your gonna learn how to meditate. Meditation is very important to the jedi, or was important. Anyways it helps you stay calm and keep a leveled head as well as some down time to sort through your thoughts and eventually clear your mind." I explained as best I could. Meditating was never Anakin's or my favorite thing to do. We much preferred dismantling some clankers with the boys.

"Okay mind is cleared. I'm relaxed. How do I do this?" I chuckled and joined her on the floor.

"It's like I said earlier. Close your eyes. Don't think. Just breath in and out." She followed my advice. I wish I could follow my own. When I meditate it's not to clear my head instead to get answers for questions that have been on my mind. Question number 1 and priority, how is Rex doing? Just because I didn't want to join his little rebellion yet doesn't mean I don't want him to succeed. And how is Rex's partner doing? It's been a long time since I've seen him. Should I tell Echo about him yet?

"Um... A-Ahsoka?" A scared hoarse voice choked out. I opened my eyes and crashed back down on the ground. I groaned in pain. Was I floating?

"Well that doesn't look comfortable for either of you." Hunter directed the snide comment at us. Omega didn't detect the sarcasm and answered him.

"Were fine." I scoffed while sitting up straight and rubbed my head.

"Speak for yourself Omega. You did good though. Much better than I did at force evaluation test." She looked at me curiously.

"You did bad? You!?"

"Yep. Believe it or not once upon a time I was even younger than you and accidentally called Master Windu a girly jedi because of his purple light saber."

"Pfft! Really!? Can you tell me another story of when you were a padawan learner? Please please pleeeeeeeeeease!" She lightly tugged my arm. I laughed and got my arm free. Again, some ear plugs would've been nice.

"Okay okay. I told you about the battle of Cristophsis, ooh did I tell you about the time me and Senator Amidala had to face the blue shadow virus?" She gasped and shook her head rapidly. I chuckled. Hunter and Wrecker were having a conversation in the corner but Omega literally dragged them over here.

"Hey Echo! You up for story time!?" I yelled hopefully loud enough for him to hear me. The door to the cockpit opened and his head poked out.

"If it's about the Citadel I don't want to hear about it." We all laughed whole heartedly while he just glared at us.

"No Echo. It's not about you getting fake blown up. It's about the blue shadow virus." He looked at me funny, clearly confused. I sighed and rolled my eyes. Even though Echo was there right behind Rex and I in the tunnels I wanted him to feel included. With the Bad Batch all this time he didn't have anyone he could engage in war story conversations with and actually have them listen and understand.

"You remember the night Rex came back to the barricks white?" That sounded so weird to say. Echo just sighed and scoffed at the old news.

"Oh yeah! We all thought he turned into a force ghost! Of course when he heard your condition was critical he booked it down the corridor and never left your side till you woke up. Rather amusing for us to watch actually." I just sat there mouth agape. This was brand new news to me. How come nobody felt obliged to tell me this?

"You never told me that." He shrugged.

"With respect Commander, you didn't ask. And besides Fives made me keep quiet in case he wanted to blackmail Rex later on." I scoffed and rolled my eyes again.

"Why am I not surprised."

"Because Fives was just so... Fives." Should I tell him about Fives? I contemplated it for a moment. It is definitely best he heard it from a dear friend and not a file record.

"Echo I have something to tell you." He was frightened by my sudden mood change as he should be. We were laughing and giggling a second ago now we're dead serious.

"Fives-" Suddenly I was hurled to the other side of the room. Wrecker grabbed my arm and kept me from falling any farther. Once the jerking of the ship stopped I found my own balance again.

"Thanks big guy."

"No problem little jedi." I winced when he called me that but moved on. I think he noticed but that's not my number one concern right now. I dashed to the cockpit and positioned myself beside Hunter and behind Echo.

"What the hell is happening in here!?" I exclaimed.

"Getting thrown out of hyperspace! I'd say that's pretty critical Tech!" I nodded frantically in agreement.

"It's not effecting life support. We're fine."

"Are you ser- Is he serious!?"

"Always." I scoffed and gritted my teeth as we entered the atmosphere. No one gives two flying shits about life support since we wouldn't need it if the pilot did his job in the first place. I looked back and forth between Tech's neutral face and Echo's panicked one and groaned. Pretty sure the whole ship has a bad feeling about this.

"Out of the way Tech." I wasted no time in pushing him out of the pilot's seat. Instead I sat in it and started furiously pressing buttons and making the calculations.

"Echo do a full analysis of the ship." I ordered.

"Already did Commander. The lower capacitor is blown! We'll have to land immediately." Uh oh. That is most definitely the cause of the bad feeling hanging around.

"Wrecker get yourself and Omega strapped in. Hunter and Tech go to the back to do the same." I ordered again. I kind of feel bad about it. I mean Hunter technically is the one in charge here. This is his team yet here I am constantly stepping in to give the orders in his place.

"Absolutely not! I will not leave my ship-"

"Yes ma'am." Tech said and pulled Hunter away with him. I shot a smug smirk to Echo who happily returned it.

"This must bring back some memories, huh Commander?"

"If by that you mean every single time I was in a ship with Anakin at the controls, then yes crashing brings back too many memories." He chuckled before focusing back on his scans.

"I can't see." Echo said. I scoffed and flicked the auxiliary power switch.

"I can. Rooting all auxillary power to the front shields." I could see through the fog with my mind and the force. I could see... ground.

"Oh no. Not good. Brace for impact... now!" I slammed the buttons that put out the ships landing legs, as my master used to call them. We landed on the ground with a smaller thud. I could see through the cockpit window now that we slid ever so slightly then came to a stop.

"You know what, Tech was right. We are fine." Everyone wanted to laugh but just didn't have the energy for it. I unbuckled myself from the pilot's seat and walked back out of the cockpit with Echo behind me.

"Given the situation you were in I'd say that was outstanding work Ms. Tano." I smiled innocently cause why not. Only the maker and Anakin know I could've done far better. I was about to give a humblish statement but then I caught it.

"Tech, please. All of you can call me Ahsoka." They all smiled and nodded. Wrecker nudged everyone out of the way and engulfed me in a hug twice my size.

"Nice work little jedi." Wow. Did he hear me or is he choosing to ignore my request for him to call me by name? Probably a bit of both. Thankfully he set me gently on the ground and smiled at me.

"Now let's get to work. Echo, Tech do another scan of the ships damage. No doubt it's a lot. Ahsoka take Omega to the cockpit and do more of your wizard magic training." Hunter ordered us all with a teasing manner at the end of it. Well didn't take him long to resume control of the dad batch.

"Sure thing Hunter. Come on Omega." She happily marched in the cockpit with me and sat in the copilots seat. It was really quite adorable seeing her wholesome excitement. I wish it could always stay like this. Untouched by war and the outside worlds problems and complaining, just stay in this ship all day chilling telling war stories with Echo, group hugs with Wrecker, the supportive smiles Hunter gives when I feel out of place, and of course Omega being a happy little cloud in general was a fresh breath of air considering the only kids I've met were being trained to become warriors.

"So what's my next lesson?"

"Nothing." Her whole demeanor changed. Oh I know that fear Omega is discovering only too well. Fear of disappointing your master. It's only happened to me several hundreds of thousands of times. When you look up to someone who looks down on you it's horrible for growth of the mind and self which is why I was always confident. Anakin saw me as an equal, he would just take my opinions into consideration privately so no snooty Jedi masters would accuse him as "training my ego and not my abilities". Master Luminara said those words exactly. I plan to change that too, making it clear to the galaxy that Omega and I are equals as soon as she gets the basics:

"W-what? Did I do something wrong?"

"No no no Omega. It's just that most jedi when I was your age would meditate for hours on end. Especially Master Yoda. He was said to be the wisest of us all so it'd be best for you to learn how to meditate for longer too." She frowned but sighed.

"Yes Master." That one word. That one phrase. It made my heart sing. I wanted to express my happiness but I kept it all in and merely nodded. She sat on the floor and took the basic crossed legged position. I heard Echo and Tech come back so I excused myself to give her a peaceful environment.

"Keep meditating Omega. I'll be right back." She didn't respond which told me she was somehow already in deep meditation. I smiled at the sight and thought of meditative sleep coming easily to her. For me that was the hardest part of training and it was definitely the hardest thing for Anakin to teach meditation to his jittery child soldier padawan. Leaving my thoughts and flashbacks behind I left the door to the cockpit closed as I exited to see the two nerds standing the twirling their thumbs.

"Alright you two, what trouble did you get in now?" I was completely teasing them. I only meant it as harmless playing around but when they looked at each other and Echo smiled sheepishly at me something told me this was no longer a joke. Typical. See this is why we always need an Obi-Wan around! I can't be the fun and the authoritative parent.

"The capacitor is in place but an odd creature is causing damage to the exterior hull." Hunter and I shared a look. Could he be any more vague?

"An odd creature? What, did you see Fives or something?" Echo gave me a deadpan look so I backed off the subject of Fives altogether.

"Wanna narrow that down?" I nodded in agreement again. Rumbling and banging could be heard from the upper part of the Marauder. Then I heard a shriek come from the cockpit right where I left the precious padawan.

"Omega!" Hunter and I yelled in unison. We both dashed into the cockpit and almost face planted into her. We stumbled back and let her out. She was breathing heavily.

"I'm fine. But there was this huge creature about this big, huge tail and it ran off with the part." Omega continued the vagueness by very quickly and haphazardly motioning the lengths with her arms.

"That's great." Everyone glared at me for my sarcastic comment but I just felt compelled to say it. Echo scooched her out of the way and turned on the main systems and the ship scan.

"She's right. The capacitor is gone."

"The last one too."

"Even more great." Everyone glared at me again. I sighed, put my hands up in fake surrender and left the cockpit. I wandered away out into force knows what. It was weird securing my mask. I had to manuaver my way around my mรณntelas and lekku but it ended up working out just fine. After looking like a moron with a mask for six and a half minutes but hey I got it eventually. The cockpit doors opened again. Omega flew past me I didn't even get a good look at her. Hunter put on his mask and walked by me too.

"So you coming to help find the part too?"

"Me and..." He trailed off. He was looking past my shoulder at something. I didn't even need more to know who it was.

"Omega. You know that girl has you wrapped around her little finger."

"She does not!"

"Does too!"

"Does not!"

"Does too!"

"Does no-"

"Guys!" Echo exclaimed from the now open door. I chuckled nervously and Hunter just stared.

"Isn't the mission more important than Hunter being under the control of a 5 year old girl?" I snorted but nodded yes. No sense in starting an argument just to not finish it though. That's what I taught Echo so he shall carry on my mission for proving me right once again.

"Good. But for the record, Hunter, she does have you wrapped around her little 5 year old finger."

"Echo you little piece of-" He slowly looked at Omega, then me, then Echo.

"Kriff your right. Come here you-"

"Bye sarge." He shut the door. I was losing my shit in the corner while Omega just stared at us not knowing what any of this means. Bless her tiny little innocent soul.

"Alright alright as funny as this is we really need to get moving." Hunter growled then grunted, then speed walked down the ramp. I put my hand on the small of Omega's back which was big enough for practically my whole hand to fit on.

"I'm sorry what just happened?" Omega genuinely was curious.

"Basically all you need to know is. I was right, and your dad was wrong." That got his attention pretty quickly again.

"I can hear you!"

"Yeah. I know. That's why I said it." He gasped before growling again and then we were off. During our times of travel he kept sniffing and scratching the dirt. DIRT! Who does that!? Finally Omega had the courage to ask.

"What are you doing?"

"Tracking." I hummed and observed him gently itching the dirt around in his hand. Hunter looked like a psychopath but on the inside he was just a cuddly teddy bear who was broken by the world. Then again, aren't we all?

"I didn't know you could do that. It's really cool actually." He smiled at me briefly then focused back on his work. He got up again and started moving. Again. I didn't want to be a pain but this whole ordeal was kind of getting old.

"Could I learn to track like you?" I giggled and her and patted her head.

"No Omega you can't track like him because it's his special skill. He was born with it." I explained to her. She was visibly sad and now I felt bad.

"But there is a way for you to learn how to track through the force." She perked up. Her head jerked to face me so fast I thought it might fall off.

"Really!? When do I learn it!"

"First you need to master the basics. And you need to pass the test before I show you anything truly special." She went from sad to happy to confused. It has been quite the conversation for her.

"Wait what test?" I shrugged it off purposely teasing her.

"Wha- come on don't do that! Tell me!" I took a sharp breath in. I remembered the last time I went on this task and it did not go as planned.

"The kyber crystal test."

"Whoa! Wait what is that?" I unclipped my light saber from my belt and powered it on.

"A kyber crystal is the heart of a jedi's weapon. The light saber. Soon you will be tested to see if this is the right path for you. But don't worry. The test won't come until far later. And I'll prepare you well for it." I patted her head and turned off my light saber. I clipped it back to my belt and caught up with Hunter.

"You're really committed to this thing aren't you." I looked at him funny.

"What?"

"Omega. Teaching her. You're really serious about it aren't you."

"Yes, I am. I've only known you all for a few days but so far you seem like some of the nicest people I've ever met. Plus hanging out with you guys makes me feel like I'm with the 501st again. Something I didn't know I missed until I got part of it back." He offered me a soft, sad smile which I returned. Then Omega caught up to us and our moods shifted. We kept walking and walking until finally a faint beeping could be heard.

"You hear that?"

"Sure do." Omega replied. Hunter patted her head and crouched down. We did the same and started running. Hunter stopped us abruptly behind a rock.

"See it." I hummed, this didn't seem right. It was too easy.

"Hunter dont just go out in the open and grab it. I seen enough danger to know that when something seems to good to he true it probably is." I whispered too him. When I shut my eye sight could feel the presence of that moon dragon. It was close.

"You worry too much. I'll go get it, wait here." He dismissed my thoughts. I groaned and watched helplessly as he started sneaking toward the part. I could feel the dragon getting closer and closer. I groaned knowing what was to come next.

"Master I have a bad feeling about this."

"I do too Omega. I do too." Before we knew it out pops a vicious moon dragon which tackled Hunter to the ground. The dragon proceeded to take the part back and leave before I could get there. Great. Could things get any greater!? I had my answer when I saw Hunter choking on air and vigorously gagging. Yep. Just got greater.

"Omega quick! Help me find his ma-"

"Found it!"

"Oh. Well uh, good give it here!" She tossed me the mask and I carefully strapped it around a thrashing Hunter who looked like he was about to die. It's not when he was moving I was worried about him, but when he wasn't moving. That was a bit nerve-wracking.

"Hunter can you hear me?" I asked gently holding his head in my palms. I scooted him closer and touched the soft spot on the side of his neck.

"He has a pulse. He'll be fine. Right now the important thing is for us too get the capacitor back from that dragon." I was contemplating leaving her here or not. On one hand if she stayed here Hunter would most likely wake up soon and take her back to the ship while I take back the capacitor with ease. On the other hand if I brought her it would be dangerous but ultimately a good learning experience. Not to mention it is possible she could slow me down. Ugh! Since when did I start sounding like Anakin!?! Okay focus Ahsoka. If Hunter doesn't wake up soon and I leave her she'll be left alone with no way to defend herself. If I bring her at least she'll have me.

"Come on Omega. Let's move out." I said. I started walking expecting her to follow me.

"But we can't just leave him here."
