Y/N STOOD AT THE GATE OF HER DOOR. SHE NERVOUSLY STARED AT
the house which suddenly seemed like a prison. "What? Too scared to go in?" Heizou teased her. She looked to her side and Heizou was standing at his gate as well. The most annoying thing to her is walking home. Because their homes were literally like two inches away from each other.
and the windows in their room are across each other too. "Heizou. Shut the hell up." She barely acknowledged him. Before he could reply she put the passcode and went inside. She would rather walk straight into hell then talk to that boy for another second.
Y/n quietly opened the door. She walked down the long narrow hallway till she got to the end. She looked in her living room and her kitchen but nobody was in sight. Just a note from the cleaner lady. Y/n exhaled as if she's been holding her breath forever, a feeling of relief washing over her as she went to her bedroom.
She took a nice long shower and freshened up. She stepped outside of her bedroom because she needed a snack when she heard continuous knocking on the door. Y/n's stomach dropped to her ass as she went to go open the door, praying it wouldn't be her parents.
She opened the door to see purple tufts of hair. Scaramouche stood there looking at her, clearly not very impressed with her. "Took you long enough. I've been knocking for like, five minutes." He pushed past her and looked around. "Wow this house is ugly as ever."
"Why are you here scaramouche?" Y/n deadpanned, cutting straight to the point. "Your parents told me to help you study. You know
since you got second place?" He laughed bitterly. "I don't need your help." Y/n stood her ground. "Yeah I think you do. But I'm not forcing you. if you don't you'll only get in further trouble with your parents." He reasoned.
"I don't care! Just get out." She opened the door for him. Gesturing him to leave. "Don't say I didn't try." He held his hands up in surrender as he left the house.
HEIZOU WAS ANNOYED AT HOW Y/N BARELY PAID ATTENTION TO HIM
earlier. She acted as if he didn't exist and that made him feel weird. He didn't get the satisfaction he wanted from teasing her. Her attention. Yes. That's all he needs and he'll be content. For now, atleast. Heizou sat upright when he realized her window was just across his!
He got up to look out of his window when he noticed her blinds were opened but there was no sight of her. did she already get in trouble with her parents? He wondered. He needed a way to get her attention. But how could he possibly do that when she wasn't even in her room?
I mean cmon. He had a brilliant idea! A huge flash light he had laying around in his bedroom for some reason and some paper and sharpie. An idea suddenly went off in his head. If he had went to her gate personally, there's no way she would let him in, let alone talk to him after today.
but! Perhaps if someone else was ...
There heizou was sitting on his bed ordering donuts to her door. He said the address and all the usual procedures.
"...And will this be a gift for someone or?..."
"Yes it is! Can I add a note?"
"Of course. And what will that be?"
"I would like you to write "Please look out of your bedroom window.""
"Uhm... Okay? Anything else?"
"No that'll be all."
and with that the worker quickly hung up.
Y/N WAS HAVING A MELTDOWN. HER PARENT'S WENT ON A BUSINESS TRIP that same morning which explains why they weren't there when she arrived from school, But since they couldn't say anything in person they resorted to texting. They both blew up her phone talking about how disappointed in her they were and how she should be ashamed etc.
She locked herself in her bedroom. She was currently studying non stop. Her mother threatened to forbid her from doing the actual extracurricular activities she enjoys if she don't snatch that spot back by next month. Y/n didn't want to stop acting. It was her favorite thing. Where she could pretend to be someone else for once and let all her burdens fall off of her shoulders, as if they didn't exist in that moment. It was the one thing she was naturally good at.
So took take that away from her? She couldn't let that happen. Especially not with the Romeo and Juliet play coming up. Her old telephone was constantly ringing which meant someone was at the door. But she didn't care, Right now taking back 1st place was the only thing she was focused on.
A little bit later, the phone stopped ringing. But the irritation didn't stop there. A bright light shone through her window and directly into her eyes. Y/n squinted as she tried to shield her eyes from the painful light. She looked out the window to see Heizou Shikanoin there grinning at her. She marched over to her window and opened it.
"You just never stop do you?" She glared at him. "I'm hurt." He joked. "And how rude are you to not go downstairs and open the door for the very nice woman standing down there waiting to deliver the donuts A handsome devil decided to order for you?" He held up a box of donuts.
"Who's the handsome devil?" Y/n asked, genuinely confused. Heizou rolled his eyes before chucking the box at her. Y/n barely caught it. She opened it to see an assortment of different flavors of donuts. on the roof of the box a sticky note was attached.
"please look out of your bedroom window."
Y/n looked at him, unamused. "Heizou."
"Y/n." He said after her. "What do you want? I'm kind of busy."
"With what?" He asked. "Trying to get back 1st place of course." They started at each other without saying anything for a minute before Heizou burst out laughing. "Oh that's funny! Nice joke Y/n."
"Mark my words Heizou Shikanoin I will get first place back, and when I do I'll be bathing in the satisfaction of watching that smug smirk turn into a frown." Y/n seethed as she slammed her window shut. "Enjoy your donuts!" Heizou yelled.
