The next morning, Oikawa sits in his homeroom, brainstorming possibilities on how to talk to L/N. He could try to get to know her through class, ask her questions, and have her help him with things he doesn't understand even though he probably does.

Great, I'm making it sound like she's my teacher, Oikawa thinks and bangs his forehead on the desk. Fortunately, he remembered to put his contacts in this morning, so his glasses won't ride up on his nose.

It's probably the best solution by far, that way I don't seem like a creep, Oikawa tries to think positively. The bell tolls, and he walks out of class with Iwaizumi.

"So, what's your master plan for talking to her?" Iwaizumi wonders as the two walk through the hallway.

"I'm gonna try to ask her questions in class whether I know it or not," Oikawa states.

"You sound desperate, plus, this is all out of the blue," Iwaizumi rolls his eyes once again.

"Well, do you have anything better? That's all I could come up with in homeroom," The brunette whines.

"Nah, I'll just watch from afar," His friend smirks at Oikawa before opening the door to their next class and entering.

"Okay, you got this," Oikawa mutters to himself, also opening the door and walking inside.

Upon entering, he sits at the desk behind L/N and waits for her to come inside. However, she doesn't appear in class, and as roll call is happening, the teacher marks her absent.

     "Psst."

Oikawa hears someone calling to him, none other than Yahaba, also in their class. Yahaba snickers at him, leaving Oikawa in a grumpy mood.

Throughout the next few classes, L/N doesn't appear either. He begins to wonder if he missed the only chance to talk to her yesterday.

"Alright class, we aren't going to be doing a lesson today because the Fine Arts Department has been rehearsing for a show to put on for us. Since it's the lunch period, we'll be going to see them along with the other classes. Grab your things, and we'll get going to the stage," The teacher announces once the bell stops ringing.

A lightbulb appears in Oikawa's head. That's why he hasn't seen L/N for half the day. She's part of the choir class, considering she has an amazing singing voice.

"How do you even know what she sounds like? You haven't heard her sing before," Iwaizumi smacks Oikawa on the back of the head when the brunette tells him about his thoughts.

"The paper said she was amazing! So that means she is amazing!" Oikawa defends himself.

The two friends, along with several others from the volleyball team, Kunimi, Kindaichi, Yahaba, and Watari, are walking through the hallways to get to the stage. Once the group enters the large stage, the rows of seats in the back are mostly filled up by other third and second-years. Oikawa drags his group to the second row in front so that he could see L/N perform.

"There's a reason why everyone sits in the back, why are we up here?" Kunimi questions.

"Yeah, I heard that the choir class really goes at it in singing that it can hurt your ears," Yahaba points to his ear, but follows his group nonetheless.

"I heard that L/N sings really well on the solos that the mics aren't needed to project her voice," Kindaichi says.

"She still uses it though, it's just the people who are on sound tech don't know how to manipulate the sound so it doesn't hurt our eardrums!" Iwaizumi joins the conversation, yelling up at the sound booth above the stage with his fist in the air.

The first years in the sound booth crouch down in their seats upon hearing Iwaizumi, not wanting to be seen.

Everyone takes their seats, filling up almost the entire stage, and a few minutes go by till it turns pitch black. Colorful lights from above project onto the stage, making it glow in different colors as the band class walks on stage to get their instruments ready.

A female professor walks out on stage, mic in hand, and begins to speak, "Hello everyone! Welcome to the Performing Arts Spring Concert! We would usually have this after school, but considering that only a fraction of the school comes to watch, we decided to hold it during the lunch periods. This is the first session, and it lasts throughout the entirety of the period, restarting two times for the other lunches to come and watch. We'll be showcasing what the band classes, drama classes, and choir classes have been rehearsing for several weeks to show you today. Now, let's begin with our choir and band class!" The professor waves her hand to the crowd on the stage and walks off.

The students clap in response, seeing the class walk out on stage, going near mics. Oikawa spots L/N walking out on stage, grabbing a mic, and pushing the cord out of the way.

(L/N and another teenage boy with shaggy black hair sing the solos where males and females are singing)

The crowd claps once the choir gets done. Oikawa is listening intently to L/N but wishes to hear more once the song is done.

"And now, the next song from the choir is, "City Called Heaven" and the solo artist is, as you all know, L/N F/N!" The professor announces, giving the mic to F/N who remains on stage.

"Now you'll get to hear what she's made of," Iwaizumi elbows Oikawa.

"You guys may want to watch your ears, she sings a little high," Kunimi announces.

(All credits go to this girl's amazing voice, I don't claim this video)

Oikawa's on the edge of his seat, his eyes glued to L/N's singing figure. She is everything he could've dreamed of, yet how he couldn't get the guts to talk to her is beyond him.

The mini-concert is over, after many sessions from the band, strings, choir songs, and a couple more solos from different singers. Everyone begins to leave from the entrance to go to lunch or their next class, Oikawa, however, doesn't do that. Choir just got done with their last song and were shuffling backstage to repeat the last 45 minutes for the next lunch class.

"Oikawa! It's really you! I would've brought something if I knew you were coming!" The same blonde girl from the last morning approaches Tooru, giddy and blushing.

"Oh, uh- Hi!" He stutters, not knowing what to say, and is interrupted by the blonde when trying to get to L/N.

"Honoka, we have to get ready for the next session, let's go," L/N calls out to the blonde, Honoka, and motions for her to hurry up. She walks up to the two, smiling at them.

"But, this is Oikawa! Don't you know who he is?" The blonde questions her.

"I'm sorry, who?" L/N looks at the girl, puzzled. She glances at the boy once again, realizing who he is. "Ah! The guy I accidentally opened the door on, nice to see you again!"

Another pang is sent to Tooru's chest, he seriously has to leave a better impression than just a guy she ran into.

"Yes, that's me," Oikawa chuckles, nervously.

"Well, we have to get going, Honoka and I have to repeat this concert in less than 5 minutes, you should get to AP Modern Japanese," L/N lightly punches Oikawa in the arm as a sign of goodbye. She smiles at him, and all he can do is stare at her.

L/N waves goodbye, grabbing Honoka by the arm, and dragging her away.

     "Yeah... cya," Oikawa murmurs.
