Turns out they wasn't done at the school, there had been another disappearance or kidnapping which lead them back to the school. Jovi approached Marie who was sat by herself in the theatre looking rather shocked and out of it "hey" Jovi spoke first her hands resting in her jacket pockets, she gave the girl a kind smile not wanting Marie to feel judged or intimidated, said girl looked up at Jovi with a defeated expression "hey"

"Mind if I sit?" The Winchester girl asked pointing to the place beside her in the stage, Marie nodded "sure" Jovi sat beside her the girls eyes looking up at the scene in front of them where her dad and uncle were speaking to officers "are you okay?" Jovi asked the raven haired girl who shrugged "physically, yeah"

"Mentally?"

Marie shrugged "we'll see"

Jovi awkwardly nodded "for what it's worth it's not your fault, there's nothing else you could've done" the blondes green eyes looked Marie's face over, she could see the other teen was upset and probably felt guilty or like she could've done more to stop her friend from being taken "thanks I guess"

Jovi winced, was she that bad at comforting people? Admittedly she didn't want to be the person to draw back the supernatural curtain for Marie - also her dad would kill her if she was to tell her the truth, that her favourite books were real, that Jovi herself was a real person not just a character. Maeve walked over handing Marie a cup "I made you some tea" Maeve sent Jovi a small smile before sitting the other side of Marie. Sam and Dean then walked over "hey"

"Let me guess, you guys came here to laugh at me too, right?" Marie responded looking between the two "why don't you tell us what happened to your friend?" Sam asked her, Dean glanced at his daughter who avoided his eyes still annoyed at him taking her phone for petty reasons which made him sigh "Maggie quit the show, she was trying to get us shut down and so we were fighting. Then she — she left, I heard her scream so I ran outside to help and..." Marie paused hesitating for a moment before she continued "and I saw a scarecrow. It looked just like the one from our show but...alive"

Another scarecrow? Jovi thought to herself, she still hadn't forgotten the one made out of people from 2005! That damn thing haunted her for weeks. "Then what?" Dean asked the girl bringing Jovi out of her thoughts "uh...I-it wrapped her up in vines a-and took her behind a dumpster and then they were both just...gone. So, I called the cops and a bunch of adults. Just told me I had an overactive imagination...but it's all real, ghosts, angels...demons"

That caught Jovi off guard, how'd she get all that just from seeing one scarecrow which could've been a costume? She noticed her dad nod to Sam, god here we go

"I want to believe" Maeve spoke her tone quiet "you should believe. You both should 'cause it is all real and so are we..." Sam began both Maeve and Marie stared up at him with confused and curious eyes "I'm Sam Winchester, that's Dean and that's Jovi" Sam gestured between the father daughter duo, Jovi gave a tight lipped smile as the two girls eyes met hers. Maeve and Marie shared a look before bursting out laughing, Jovi could feel her cheeks burning with embarrassment

Once she'd collected herself Marie turned to the brothers "Okay, now look. I'm willing to accept that monsters are real but those books...are works of fiction" the girl said in a are you stupid tone "and you guys are way too old to be Sam or Dean or Jovi" Maeve spoke up warning a speechless look from Dean and a shrug of agreement from Jovi. The last book that was released she would've been about 9 or 10 not 14

"More of a Rufus/Bobby combo...maybe" Maeve told the two men before her eyes fell onto a smirking Jovi "as for you, you're more like the young Dean being taken care of by Bobby" Jovi blinked thinking to herself but in a way Maeve wasn't wrong...

"Fair enough" Jovi muttered shrugging

"Okay, all right, Little miss sunshine. We are what the books call hunters" Dean corrected Maeve who was sending him a smug smirk "FBI hunters?" She said her eyes squinted as she looked up at Dean who nodded putting a hand on his hip "yeah"

"you guys are X files?"

"Sure, Yeah. You could say that" Sam told the two before he brought the conversation back to the situation at hand "So, the scarecrow in your musical. Is it based on the one from the books?"

"No, I changed it. I got scared of a local legend when I was a kid. There was this old creepy scarecrow on an abandoned farm outside of town, kids used to say if it caught you it would take you away" Marie told them, to Jovi that seemed like their sort of thing and helped narrow down the causes of the missing people "okay, if this scarecrow is based off of your version then Ms. Chandler and Maggie might still be alive" Jovi said looking between her dad, uncle and the two girls. Maeve tilted her head looking at the blonde "you think the scarecrow was created by the play?"

Marie looked up at the two men in shock and wonder "you think...it's a Tulpa?".

"Tulpas are monsters that are created by intense, focused energy on a idea or a story" Sam dropped a book onto the table in the schools library where the group were now sat in "great, how do you kill an idea?" Maeve asked raising her eyebrows like they were speaking about doing the impossible "well, in Hell House, Sam and Dean burned the house down to take out the one Tulpa they hunted" Marie said which put a scowl on Jovi's face - I was there too. The girl thought to herself

"Yeah, yeah, you kill the symbol. You kill the Tulpa. It's, uh, actually a pretty good start. So, the scarecrow in your play, is it a person or a prop?" Dean asked pausing his pacing in front of the table everyone was sat at "prop" Marie inhaled sharply looking down "and its terrifying" Maeve nodded in confirmation, this caught Jovi and deans attention the girl smirking to herself. Now she wanted to see their 'terrifying' creation "we keep it in the boiler room" Marie said cautiously

"That's, uh, great. Um, okay, you guys read up just give us a sec" Sam said before nodding to Jovi and Dean, the girl following her uncle over out of earshot of the girls "yeah, so, this doesn't add up. Tulpas require a ton of psychic energy go juice up" Sam said looking between the duo "yeah" Dean said while Jovi nodded along letting Sam know she was listening "well, it's not like the supernatural books are tearing up the New York Times best seller list and I seriously doubt this play is even sold out"

"Hope not"

"Stop being mean" Jovi said slapping her dad's arm sending him a look "oh, but you know what? This flower — I know I've seen it in the lore somewhere, there's got to be a connection" Sam said showing them the picture he took of it on his phone "all right, you get on that. I'm gonna take a shot at the burning man"

"I'm coming, I wanna see Freddy" Jovi said walking back to Marie with her dad following "hey Marie? Can you show us to Krugers boiler room?" Jovi asked smiling down at the two girls who shared a look before Marie nodded "yeah, sure".

Jovi and Dean followed behind Marie who lead them into the big scary boiler room "gird your loins, it's horrifying" Marie told them leading them over where the scarecrow was with a sheet over it, Jovi nudged her dad raising her eyebrows in amusement making Dean smirk. Marie stopped in front of it before she looked at the two Winchesters expectingly, Dean sighed walking over to the scarecrow before he tore the sheet off revealing the most pathetic scarecrow Jovi had ever seen. If she was being honest she was actually disappointed, she wanted something that was actually going to make her heart race. Why have a boiler room of you weren't going to make it scary? They should put her in charge of the props because she could give them a few tips "well that was anticlimactic" Jovi muttered

Dean looked just as unimpressed as his daughter as he stared at the scarecrow "really?" Marie who'd turned away as if she was avoiding its button eyes responded with "I know. Scary right?"

Dean sighed deeply as he walked over to where he found a crowbar offering it to Marie "you want to piñata this asshat?"

"If she doesn't, I will" Jovi said grinning

Marie looked between them "asshat? And that excitement to hit things. Nice, it's uh, very Dean and Jovi of you" Dean and Jovi shared a look "no, he's all yours, Jovi, Agent Smith."

Jovi bit her lip in excitement as Dean handed her the crowbar "take it easy" he told her she hummed "whatever you say" she then swung as hard as she could hitting the scarecrow over. After she'd finished obliterating the scarecrow till it was just material and straw, the three picked up the pieces throwing the scarecrow into the fire.

Now walking back into the library, the three entered with smiles "we came, we saw, we kicked —"

Sam cut Dean off "it's not a Tulpa"

Jovi's face dropped "excuse you?"

"It's not a Tulpa" Sam repeated while Dean stopped beside his daughter looking down at his brother "say it one more time, but just a little more Arnold. You know like...it's not a Tulpa" Dean gave his best Arnold Schwarzenegger impression that made Jovi smile especially when Sam sent them the most unamused expression "dude, come on. Its calliope"

"Who?"

"The goddess of Epic Poetry — the Muse." Maeve explained for them as Sam continued "She's associated with this — the borage or starflower. That's the picture" he pointed to the book where the same flower that was found at the crime scene was shown "okay, wait - if this is a god thing then what's with the scarecrow?" Dean questioned

"According to the lore, Calliope manifests creatures from the stories she's tuned into"

Makes sense, Jovi thought

"So...the scarecrow is still alive and we burned my prop for nothing?" Marie said looking up at Dean who snapped his head to look at her "oh, that thing needed to burn"

"Just the facts, plus that was extremely therapeutic" Jovi added with a shrug

"The only way to destroy the scarecrow is to kill Calliope" Maeve told them, Sam looked back up at the three "right — she uses these manifestations, like the scarecrow, to inspire the author and protect them until their vision is realised"

"Then what?" Jovi asked

Sam paused nodding slowly "Then she eats the author"

"Oh, nothing quite like cannibalism to be the cherry on top" Dean nudged Jovi in the ribs earning a dramatic "ow!" From her

"Okay, that's bad...um...well...you get your wish. Let's cancel the show" Marie said which made Jovi slightly feel bad for her "that's what your teacher and classmate did" Dean pointed out

"They tried to shut you down and the scarecrow took them — protected you and the show" Sam explained to her "okay, so, the scarecrow is a boogeyman we got to take our shot with this, uh..."

"Calliope" Sam spoke for Dean who nodded "Calliope. But she won't show herself until your vision is realised" Dean said looking down at Marie who slowly nodded "so, what are you saying?"

"The show must go on" Jovi said with a shrug.

Marie on a verge of a panic attack stumbled into the staff kitchen grabbing a brown paper bag breathing in and out of it repeatedly before taking a seat, the other four watched from afar with slightly stunned expression even Maeve looked speechless. Sam and Dean equally didn't know what to do and Jovi she didn't know how to approach Marie. Dean turned to Sam "hey, uh, why don't I-"

"Why don't you guys rally Marie? I'm gonna grab some wooden stakes from the trunk and do the blessing" Sam was quick to cut Dean off not wasting time before leaving the father-daughter duo with the two girls "mature" Jovi hissed at her uncle who sent her a amused smirk walking away. Maeve raised her hand "is Marie going to get eaten?"

Jovi went to open her mouth when Dean cut her off sending her a look as if to say 'don't you dare' as if he knew she was going to respond with something sarcastic that'll only scare the two girls "not gonna happen. Soon as that curtain rises we are gonna be there to take out this Calliope" Dean then approached Marie kneeling in front of her with Jovi and Maeve following "hey, how you doing, champ?"

Marie took a breath before removing the bag from her mouth "this...this is all my fault. If I hadn't written this dumb play none of this would've happened"

"Okay, well, first of all, uh, the plays not dumb" Dean spoke which caught all three teens attention, Jovi raised her brows in surprise "I thought you didn't believe in this interpretation" Maeve spoke from beside Jovi, Dean glanced at her "yeah, I don't...like at all" Jovi sent her dad a glare making him look back at Marie with a softer look "b-but you do, okay? And I need you to believe in it with all you got so that we can kill calliope and we can save your friends" Dean looked up at Marie with a serious expression "can you do that?"

Marie blinked "yeah, you're right. If Sam, Dean and Jovi were real-" Jovi and Dean shared a look "-they wouldn't back down from a fight" Dean smiled pointing confidently "especially my sweet...brave...selfless Sam" deans face fell as Jovi's twisted in disgust "there's nothing he can't do"

"Accept cut his hair" Jovi muttered earning herself a elbow to the ribs from Maeve, Dean looked down trying to hide his own disgust and disappointment as he shook his head "no" Marie then turned looking into the mirror of the vanity that was set up where there was also a wig sitting on a mannequin - Jovi guessed it was a Sam wig "okay, let's do this" Marie spoke slamming her hat on the vanity desk, she looked at Dean and Jovi "I understudy Sam so..." she grabbed the wig "I used this for my one women orphan black show last year but it's going to have to work for Sam" she then put the messy wig on top of her head looking in the mirror "writer...director...actor" she looked back at the Winchesters "I'm gonna Barbara Streisand this bitch".

The Winchesters now stood with Marie who was dressed as Sam fixing the other actors costumes, Jovi had been reading through the script and she's got to say she was...impressed? Okay, it wasn't the best adaption she's ever read but at least the songs were catchy. Marie stopped in front of the girl playing Dean "the Samulet?" Marie questioned her, Jovi raised a brow Samulet? What the hell is the Samulet? "Samulet?" Dean voiced her thoughts looking at Marie puzzled "the amulet is a symbol of the Winchesters brotherly love which later becomes family love"

Jovi tucked the amulet into her top as Sam appeared from the curtain pausing as he looked over the many characters in their lives "hey" Dean and Jovi turned as Sam subtly handed Dean a sharpened stake "where's mine?" Jovi questioned whisper shouting at her uncle "you don't need one" Dean told her she scoffed "oh really? What if the musical buzzkill tries to kill me?" He raised his eyebrows at the girl "she won't, you're job is to watch the girls and make sure nothing happens" Jovi shook her head in annoyance crossing her arms over her chest "unbelievable"

"Posture, straighten up, okay?" Marie told her cast members

"Wait a second, where's Jovi and Chuck?" Sam questioned noticing the missing characters, his niece sighed "she didn't make the cut" Marie looked up at Sam with Maeve beside her "oh, I-I love him. I do. But, honestly the whole 'author inserting themselves into the narrative' thing. It's just not my favourite, I kind of hate the meta stories"

"Me too, me too" Dean muttered Jovi scoffed "like you ever read" Dean glared at her before looking to the cast "all right, listen up, girls. Now, I know you're all here because you love Supernatural"

"Actually, I was hoping we'd do wicked" the girl playing Mary spoke honestly which almost made Jovi laugh "yeah, that'd have been easier. Uh, I know I have expressed some differences of opinion regarding this particular version of Supernatural. Uh, but tonight it's all about Marie's vision" Dean put a hand on the girls shoulder "this is Marie's Supernatural, so I want you to get out there and I want you to stand as close as she wants you to and I want you to put as much sun into that text as you possibly can. There is no other road, no other way, no day...but today"

Maeve, Jovi and Sam all furrowed their brows as Maeve leaned over "did he just quite Rent?" Marie leaned closer to her "not enough to get us into trouble"

"Now, you get out there and you kick it in the ass" the girls as smiles cheering "hey, that wasn't terrible" Jovi told her dad that grinned in response  "all right, bring it in!" Marie said holding her hand out all the girls crowding around her hands all in the middle before throwing them up "Ghostfacers!"

The Winchesters shared an annoyed look.

Marie went out onto the stage to welcome the audience while the Winchesters stood in both sides of the stage Jovi beside Maeve, Dean poked his head around the curtain looking at his daughter and Maeve "okay, she's stalling. Let's do this"

"Copy that. Curtain, kids. It's show time" Maeve spoke into her earpiece. Marie exited the stage as the curtain rose and the first song began they watched from the sideline, Jovi titled her head upwards noticing how her dad was bopping his head along to the song which made her chuckle but once he realised both teens girls were looking up at him he stopped straightening up. Jovi spotted the scarecrow emerge from Sam's side of the stage she whacked her dads arm pointing, his eyes widened as the two pointed to Sam trying to warn him but Sam not understanding pointed back at them giving a thumbs up, Jovi and Dean both mimed 'behind you!' Sam turned but was grabbed by the scarecrow who disappeared with him "stay here" Dean ordered his daughter as he rushed off

Jovi bit her nails pacing back and forth spotting her dad appear at the other end of the stage searching for Sam but had no luck. She found Marie who was just as on edge as her as the show continued on, Dean ran up to the two "so what do we do now?" Jovi asked her dad "just stick to the plan, okay? Keep singing until the scarecrow comes for you" Dean then ran off leaving a terrified Marie "it's going to be okay" Jovi told her girl who then turned to face the blonde "I-I can't go out there!" Jovi's face fell "what? Marie we've got you okay? You've just gotta keep going"

A idea hit the raven haired girl "can you sing?"

Jovi blinked "what?"

"Can you sing?" Marie repeated Jovi was at a loss for words, she knew where Marie was going with this and Jovi didn't want to go out there "I—I don't know!" Jovi said stumbling over her words "well in Chucks last book the chapter The End, Jovi's able to sing and
