"I need you up there Jovi, please!" The desperation in Marie's eyes made Jovi's face soften, in all fairness Dean did tell her to keep Marie and the others safe. Jovi groaned "okay fine!" Marie grinned grabbing her arm "let's get you a wig".

Jovi stood at the sidelines of the stage with a blonde wig on and the leather jacket Siobhan had been wearing earlier on, Marie had briefly told the other girl that Jovi was filling in for this particular scene - the girl didn't mind that much, she'd still get her credit. So now with a lot of help Jovi had the stubble painted onto her face, her clothes were given the okay but she had the additional jacket and the amulet was now on show. The Winchester girl couldn't believe what she was about to do but luckily for her she'd watched the girls rehearse and read the script as 'research' so she knew what to do. The curtain came up once again as the set had changed, there was a devils trap painted on the floor with a windmill and fence also on the stage. Marie stood a few feet in front of Jovi who began to recite the exorcism she had drilled into her head while walking over to the devils trap placing a box on the floor

"A single man tear, slips down his face" Marie began to sing, Dean on the sidelines furrowed his brows spotting his daughter under the shadows of the stage light "what's she doing?" He whispered to Maeve who was beside him "Marie wouldn't go out there without her so she filled in" now a new nervousness brewed inside of Dean and not about the scarecrow but he was nervous for his daughter who'd only ever acted once in her life and she never even got to get a line out

"He shows emotion without a trace"

Jovi stood up acting cautious as 'demon' approached her

"He hides behind a mask so strong, worried that he could be wrong. I wish that he could see the way I see him"

Jovi and the demon walked in a circle before the demon got on its knees 'black smoke' escaping its body making the audience gasp

"The perfect brother, a man without sin. 'Cause underneath the manly sheen"

Jovi and the demon repeated the motions again

"It is my brother, a boy named Dean. A single man tear, a single man tear, that's all we fear"

Jovi began the exorcism again just like she would if this was an actual demon before the demon disappeared she walked over to her mark at the edge of the stage. Her heart was racing, her palms sweaty, and her stomach felt like it's filled with butterflies. Anxiety flowing through her as she looked out at the audience, behind her the scarecrow emerged, Marie gasped spotting it. Jovi briefly turned her eyes widening before she could do anything her dad ran across the stage tackling it. She turned back to the audience with wide eyes as she sung acting as if this was part of the show "a single man tear, that's all I'll spare" she sung the first line a few gasps of awe rang out through the audience as they looked between the girl and Dean who was now rolling around with the scarecrow

"I bury feelings, don't show I care.
Even though I am haunted, must be the man daddy wanted. Wish I could be as strong as Sam" Jovi turned gesturing to 'Sam' catching a glimpse of the fight "blaze my own tail, be my own man. But underneath this broken mask" Dean was thrown across the stage crashing into the windmill, Jovi turned to look still singing before she looked back at the audience still trying to keep her cool "it is my father with all his wrath"

Literally the teen thought to herself, as she repeated the last verse glancing over her shoulder as the scarecrow whacked Dean to the ground with a piece of wood turning to face Marie. Now Jovi was panicking as she sung, Marie looked at Jovi for subtly nodded giving her the you got this look, Marie ducked running past the scarecrow that tried reaching for the teen

"A single man tear"

Marie picked up the stake Dean had dropped "no chick flick moments!" Marie yelled as Jovi stopped singing the raven hair girl ran forward stabbing the scarecrow, Jovi stared in surprise her eyes looking up at the scarecrow who's arms were open wide it slowly took steps backwards until it was at the end of the stage and then it exploded into purple goo.

The two girls turned shielding themselves, when they turned back to the audience the front few rows were covered in the purple goo. Their faces frozen in shock, Jovi gulped thinking the worst but then an audience member started to clap standing up which then lead to others doing the same. The blonde looked back at Marie with a smile as she moved to stand next to the girl "take a bow" Dean told them standing a meter behind them as the two took bows as the curtains closed. Jovi squealed throwing her arms around Marie in excitement "I knew you could do it!" Marie laughed accepting the hug "you're a great singer by the way" Jovi pulled away a blush of embarrassment falling into her cheeks "I always told her that" Dean spoke from behind them a proud smile on his face, Jovi grinned running into his arms as he spun her around with a chuckle "all those years of lying to the police and civilians paid off" Dean jokes as he put her down she whacked his arm "shut up".

Now the three were backstage, Jovi had given Siobhan her jacket back and thrown the itchy wig off letting her hair down. She approached her dad and Marie who were stood beside the fake Baby while rubbing a makeup wipe over her mouth and cheekbones "well, you did good out there, kid" Dean told Marie who smiled "you're not so bad yourself"

"I thought I was great" Jovi spoke with a shrug earning laughs from the two

"You know, this has been...educational seeing the...story from your perspective. You keep writing, Shakespeare" Dean told Marie sending her a genuine smile "even if it doesn't match how you see it?" Marie questioned raising a brow at Dean

"I have my version and you have yours" the lights flickered catching Dean and Jovi's attention "and the show continues" Jovi spoke sending one last smile at Marie before turning on her heel with her dad following her "Dean?" Marie spoke making the two pause, Jovi smirked as she noticed her dad realising that Marie had indeed called him Dean like she finally believed him "you never should've thrown this away" she handed him the homemade Samulet, Dean chuckled "it never really worked. I don't need a symbol to remind me how I feel about my brother or daughter so..."

"Take it...jerk"

"Bitch" that came out faster than Dean expected, he didn't even process the fact he'd just said that to a teenager which made his face fall Jovi's laughter filling his ears. Marie's face was still for a second making him go to apologise when she smiled laughing which caused him to relax, the lights flickered above them "if I stay up here any longer I'm gonna win a Oscar so come on" Jovi said pulling on her dads arm guiding him back to Sam who's been watching the interaction. The stood side by side, Jovi's arm linked with her dads her head resting on his shoulder watching the scene before them play out

"I guess we can go back to staring at motel room walls" Dean spoke quietly, Sam turned to face his brother "you know what, Dean? You were right. Staying cooped up isn't helping us, we need—"

"We need to be back on the road, Dean. Doing what we do best" Marie finished for Sam as their attention was brought to the scene in front of them "what is that?" Sam asked the father-daughter duo "it's the, uh, the B. M. scene" Dean told him Sam furrowed his brows "the vowel movement scene?"

"Shh, no. Just...shh" Dean silenced his brother looking at the scene

"you're right, Sammy. Out on the road. Just the two of us" 'Dean' spoke 'Sam' smiled "the two of us against the world" the two shared a look

"What she said" the real Sam spoke and then 'Mary' began to sing carry on wayward son with the other actresses joining in one by one until they got to one that made the Winchesters question who it was supposed to be "who's that?" Sam asked leaning towards Dean and Jovi "oh, that's Adam, John Winchesters other kid. Hes still trapped in a cage in hell with lucifer" Maeve told them a bit too casually, Jovi bit her lip a small pool of guilt sat in her stomach at the fact she'd forgotten about him, her other uncle - in her defence he was a bit of a douchbag.

When the song finished Jovi felt her eyes heating up "that was beautiful".
