The next morning, you spent extra time trying to get rid of your eye bags, knowing you hadn't slept well at all after realizing you were falling for one of your closest friends.

It was pretty early when you started getting ready so you had no rush in getting ready, you were still in your pajamas, applying foundation on your face.

A knock at your door made you stop humming the quiet music you were listening to, "come in." You say, focusing back on your makeup.

With your approval Nobara opened the door, the girl looking more tired then you.

"Why are you up so early? It's 5am." She quietly asks, sitting down on your freshly made bed.

You smile at her, "i couldn't sleep, so i wanted to get pretty." You started to apply your contour, Nobara hums in response.

"Yeah to look good for Yuta huh?" She chirped, smiling sweetly at your reflection in the mirror.

Your smile faded, and with wide eyes, you turned to face Nobara, a frown settling on your face, "is it that noticeable? Oh my gosh i'm going to kill myself."

Nobara chuckled, "Jeez, (Y/N), calm down! It's really not that noticeable. I just have a sharp eye. How could I not see the way you look at Yuta? Like he's the air you breathe," she teased, playfully pinching your cheeks.

You groan, hiding your face in your palms, "you think he doesn't know? He's really smart Nobara i'm incredibly fucked."

"Honey, Yuta is dense. Too dense for his own good he probably doesn't think anything about the way you act around him. He probably assumes you act the same way around your other friends." She reassures you, her words soothing your nerves.

You perk your head up from your palms, "are you sure? I don't want to make a fool of myself."

"I'm 100% sure."

"I love you." You say, turning your attention back to doing your makeup.

"I love you too." She smiles, "but. . . what are you going to do about Kenjaku?"

You stopped in your tracks, a look of horror washing on your face. You forgot all about Kenjaku. Double fuck.

"I'm so stupid. How did i forget about Kenjaku?" You groan in annoyance, you wanted to go back in time and smack the shit out of Gojo for even setting you up with him

Nobara shrugs, beginning to look through your closet as you pondered about what to do.

"I guess i'll simply tell him i'm not interested?"

You sigh, applying lipgloss over your lips.

"Hmm, Kenjaku doesn't give up easily at all so maybe just punch him in the face and make a run for it." She suggests, placing down an outfit for you. Nobara loved helping you out with outfits.

You glanced at the outfit, "black skirt, top drawer on the left."

"You read my mind." Nobara says, turning to look in the direction you pointed out.

"I'll just ask him to back off, simply." You return back to your previous conversation, as Nobara did a victory dance as she found what she was looking for.

"You do that, if things don't work out just tell Gojo."

"Good idea." You respond, making a mental note about telling Gojo if Kenjaku wouldn't stop.

As if he knew you were talking about him, your phone dinged with a notification from imessage.

Goodmorninggg
Quote of the day is

Be the rizzler not the rizzlet

You stared dumbfounded at his text.

What the fuck does that even mean?

You didn't even bother to respond, you glanced over at Nobara, who had left to give you some privacy to change. She understood that you didn't like when people saw you naked or even partially naked.

A warmth spread through your chest at her thoughtfulness.

With a smile you put on the outift she chose for you, which consisted of a black skirt, tights, and a white baggy graphic shirt.

You felt content with the outfit she chose and you yelled for her to come back in, which she did.

"How should i do my hair?" You ask, beginning to take out your hair from the braids you wore to sleep last night.

Nobara played softly with your hair, thinking of an hairstyle that would match your outfit.

"How about you let it on your back?" She suggests, your eyes met in the mirror and you nodded. Agreeing with her suggestion.

Once you finished styling your hair, you spritzed on your favorite perfume and body mist. Then you grabbed your bag and headed to help Nobara get ready.

-

You made your way through the long college corridors, with every step you took shared looks of weirdness trailed right behind you.

It had begun to get worse and worse with each day passing by, your ignored every look thrown your way while you peacefully walked to your first class of the day.

One that you shared with Kenjaku. You groaned mentally when you entered the classroom already noticing the black haired boy who you were trying to avoid till later on today. He noticed you standing at the door and waved happily your way.

With no other route of escape you gave in and made your way toward Kenjaku.

"Good morning (Y/N)! You look pretty today." He complimented you, getting up from his seat to make way for you.

You blankly stared at him, "so i look ugly every other day? Thanks." You brush past him, sitting down at the window seat while Kenjaku chuckled as if something was funny.

"Aw come on don't be that way. . . You know we are something." He whispers the last part directly in your ear, shivers running down your spine.

"About that, i don't want anything with you or ever did in the first place so i'd appreciate if you left me alone." You stare at him with a blank look, his smile quickly fading at your words, his expression turning into one of shock.

"What? You're joking right." He knits his brows together, not believing your words.

"I'm not, please respect my wishes."

". . . . What about the time we shared a blunt and ate pizza in a random park that was nothing?" He asks, clearly not taking this well.

"It was a moment of weakness on my part, i'll get your bracelet to you soon," you say, your mind flashing back to the bracelet you never wore.

"That was a gift. I don't want it back." He grumbles, you felt his anger rising with every word that came out of your mouth. You wondered how long it'd take for him to burst.

"Great, i'll be selling it on eBay." You say with a sweet smile, watching as Kenjaku's nose flares.

"What? No, I gave it to you as a gift. Stop being so egotistical and just wear it," he replies, his eyes narrowing as they fall on the crescent moon necklace resting on your chest.

His jaw clenches as he pieces together who the necklace is from.

You just shrug, shifting your focus to your professor as the lesson begins.

Kenjaku kept pushing his luck on making conversation in class, but after being reprimanded by the professor made him quickly shut his mouth.

The lesson soon ended and you had about two hours till your next class starts. You decided on going outside to soak up in the sun while you read manga on the soft grass.

Your fingers danced across the pages, from word to word as you became fully engrossed in the manga. It was one of your favorites.

The no sleep was taking a toll on you, yawning softly as you tried to blink away the tiredness.

You were lucky enough that today was Friday meaning you had time to catch up on sleep and homework before the upcoming week.

Your phone rang from beside you, pulling your attention from the manga and to your phone curiosity taking over as your eyes widen at the caller ID, your heart starting to race in your chest.

Yuta.

Yuta was calling you.

Ever since you found out about your crush on him you felt more shy and self conscious about yourself around him.

Clearing your throat, you finally answered the call after the fifth ring, realizing he wasn't going to give up. "Hey!" Yuta was the first to break the silence.

"Hi Yuta!" you replied, hoping he couldn't hear the nervousness in your voice.

"Hey, I was wondering what you were doing tonight. Got any plans?" he asked, his tone filled with hope.

You already knew the answer to that, no. You had absolutely no plans on a Friday night. You were beginning to feel like a loser.

"No. . . Just gonna catch up on homework, why?" You question, beginning to pack up your things.

"Okay, good," he let out a breath of relief." Uhm, would you mind. . . coming over to my house? i want to discuss something it's fine if not."

You paused, your heart pounding in your throat at his suggestion. Discuss what exactly? Did he find out about you liking him already? You had only just realized it yourself, and he already knew? The stress of what he wanted to talk about made you anxious, scared of rejection. But you decided to go for it. Screw it, what's the worst that could happen?

"Uh, yeah, sure. What time?"

"6:30ish, see you then (Y/N)." He responds, ending the call right after.

You already felt it starting to eat at you.

-
You stepped into Yuta's home, the boy telling you to enter and not even bother to knock. He mentioned earlier that he was upstairs before you arrived so you began making your way up the stairs trying not to get lost in his massive house.

You opened and closed several doors, still unable to find the boy who you were searching for. Your hands began to ache from all the pulling and shutting.

Then you came across a long door, it instantly clickedโ€” this was the room you searched for this whole time.

You knocked and heard Yuta's soft voice telling you to enter. Following his command. You stepped in the room and his scent enveloped you, intoxicating you instantly.

"Hey, i'm glad you could make it," He smiles, rising up from his massive bed and beginning to walk towards you.

You glanced around his room, surprised by how well-kept it was. It was decorated beautifully, just like the rest of his house.

"Nice room," you complimented, avoiding his gaze as you looked around, nervous about locking eyes with him.

"Thank you," he replied, a hint of hurt in his voice at your avoidance. He wondered if he had done something wrong.

Brushing those thoughts aside, he took your hand and led you to the couch. You both sat down, locking eyes for the first time, and you waited for him to explain why he had called you over.

"What are you doing this summer?" He asks out of the blue, now it was his turn to avoid your gaze. Your brows knit together at his question.

It took you a moment to reply, "Uh.. not much probably just going to the beach back at home. Why?"

He took a deep breath, his eyes locking with yours as a cute smile spread across his lips. "I want to spend it with you," he blurted out, his eyes widening as he realized that wasn't what he had planned to say.

Your brows rise, "what?" He wanted to spend summer with you.

For once, he decided to be bold, "yeah. I wanna spend summer with you. If that's okay with you of course." He quickly adds, not wanting to sound toxic, his eyes held a hopeful glimmer as he awaited for your response.

You felt your insides melt, staring at him in shock before quickly nodding. "Yeah, sure." You smiled genuinely as he reached out to hold your hands in his. "Good, because I already bought us tickets," he paused, "and they're non-refundable."

You started to laugh, realizing how sure he was that you'd say yes.

And for once, you felt yourself grow genuinely excited for the upcoming summer, spending it with the boy you love.

"How are your parents like? I'd love to meet them, if that's okay with you," he asked, treading carefully. He didn't know much about your parents or your relationship with them, so he wanted to make sure he didn't overstep any boundaries.

You bit your lip, "my dads an alcoholic and my mom's bipolar, hope you don't mind!" You say with a sarcastic tone, deciding to just lay it out simply for him.

He looked a bit taken aback but quickly recovered, "I don't mind at all. I just want to get to know the important people in your life."

You felt your heart flutter at his words, "Overall my mom's sweet." You say with a distance look in your eyes as if you were thinking back on past memories. "My dad. . . Is the complicated one we just gotta hope he's not drunk when i introduce you to them."

"I'm sure everything will turn out well." He tries to reassure you, even though he had no clue how your parents really were. He could only pray for the best.

"Hopefully." You smile absentmindedly at him, and he looks at you with concern in his eyes. Sensing your discomfort, he quickly shifts the conversation.

"I heard the beach there is beautiful. Is that true?" he asks, pulling you away from your thoughts.

You spend Friday night sharing stories with Yuta about your hometown, and with each detail, his excitement seems to grow.

Eventually, you both drift off on the couch, his comforting presence wrapping around you. His arms hold you close as you slip into sleep.

You have no idea how you ended up in that position but you didn't mind. Not at all.
