"N-NIK?"
Flashes of seeing Stefan doing the same thing to their father. She freezes, staring as Klaus drops the ladies body. He was breathing heavily and he slowly turns to face her, jaw clenching in anger. "Did i not tell you to wait outside?!" He yells.
Cora stares at the ladies dead body. She hurries to the girls side, putting a finger on her pulse but nothing. Klaus had killed her. She froze, eyes stinging with pain as she suddenly found herself pinned against the wall by Klaus and tears stream down her cheek.
When she meets his eyes, he had blood around his chin, long large fangs and veins under his eyes with his usual sea blue eyes now dark. His body is pressed against hers and her wrists on either sides of her head. The fear in her eyes is evident and she struggles against him while he doesn't move a muscle, like all her struggling was nothing.
"Leave me alone!" Cora cries out.
Klaus releases her and rips out her necklace, his bloody hands grabbing her chin as he gazes deeply into her eyes. "You will not remember any of this. You only remember me walking you home, wishing you a goodnight and cheering you up. You will no longer be saddened about you job. Now go home, Cora." He compels.
However, even without her vervain necklace, the compulsion didn't work but she knew that whatever he was trying to do, he expected it to work. She nods and begins to subtly walk away while his shoulders slump, watching her leave with a distressed expression.

Klaus looks at Rebekah with a bored expression as he explains what happened in the library. While Cora was at her house, packing up her bags and preparing Maximus to leave.
Rebekah listens to him before staring at him in complete disbelief. "You bloody idiot!" She swore in disbelief and Klaus' jaw clenches at her. "I fed her vervain this morning." She glowers and a look of realization falls over his face. "Stay here. You aren't invited in her house."
She speeds away and appears in Coras bedroom. The girls eyes widen, looking at her in fear and wide eyes. "Coraโ"
"Stay away from me!" Cora screams, grabbing a lamp and throwing it at the girl but Rebekah easily catches it, setting it down. "Leave me alone!" She cries out in fear as a look of hurt falls over Rebekahs features. "You were going to kill me, weren't you?"
Rebekah immediately shakes her head. "Of course not." She grabs the girls shoulder. "Calm down. You haven't even allowed me to explain."
"Explain what?! That your cannibals with mind control?!" Cora says in fear, tears threatening to fall. She felt afraid as flashbacks of mystic falls rushes through her mind which increased her fear.
"Cannibals? No, don't be ridiculous." Rebekah holds the girl tightly and Cora stares at her. "Cora, let me explain. As my friend, you will listen to me...please?"
Cora stares at her for seconds that felt like hours before nodding. "Okay."
"My parents had just started a family, when a plague struck their homeland. They lost a child to it. They wanted to escape and protect their future family from the same fate." Rebekah explains. "My mother knew a witch named Ayana, and yes, witches and werewolves exist. Ayana heard from the spirits of a mystical land where everyone was healthy...blessed by the gifts of speed and strength. That lead my family here, where we lived amongst those people.
"The werewolves..?"
"To us, they were just our neighbors. My family lived in peace with them for over 20 years, during which time my family had more children, including me. Once a month our family retreated into the caves beneath our village. The wolves would howl through the night and by morning we'd return home... One full moon, Nik and my youngest brother Henrik snuck out to watch the men turn into beasts. That was forbidden. Henrik paid the price..."
Coras lips part. "He died..."
"Yes." Rebekah looks away. "And that was the beginning of the end of peace with our neighbors.. And one of the last moments my family had together as humans. My mother was a witch, The Original Witch. She turned us into vampires."
"She did that to protect you..?"
Rebekah nods briefly. "My parents only saw a way of keeping their children alive."
"Why couldn't you just leave?"
"Pride...My father didn't want to run anymore. He wanted to fight and be superior to the wolves. Where they could bite, we had to bite harder. Where they had speed, we had to be faster. Agility, strength, senses..."
Cora tilts her head to the side. "How did she turn you?"
"She called upon the sun for life, and the ancient white oak tree, one of nature's eternal objects, for immortality. That night, my father offered us wine laced with blood. And then he drove his sword through our hearts."
Cora thought about how she saw her father kill both her brothers. "He killed all of you..?"
"And he wasn't delicate about it either. We had to drink more blood to complete the ritual. It was euphoric! The feeling of power was indescribable... but the witch Ayana was right about the consequences. The spirits turned on us, and nature fought back... For every strength there would be a weakness... The sun became our enemy. It kept us indoors for weeks... And though my mother found a solution which is daylight rings, there were other problems... Neighbors who had opened their homes to us could now keep us out."
"Keep you out?"
Rebekah nods. "We cannot enter a house unless we're invited on by the owner."
"That's why..."
"Klaus kept bothering you on entering your house."
Rebekah looks at her. "Vervain is a vampires weakness. If you drink vervain, a vampire can't drink from you neither can it compel. Compulsion allows us to get anything we want from humans. Vampires can't compel each other's but since we're the first vampires to exist...we can."
Cora stares at her. "Klaus tried to compel me. He tried to make me forget."
"I won't let him." Rebekah sighs. "When you came, Klaus was suspicious of you because your necklace," she touches the girls necklace and it burns her hand but Rebekah pays no mind as she opens it to see vervain inside. "Has vervain."
Cora swallows the slump in her throat. "I think it's time I open up." She says and Rebekah smiles lightly. "My mother died of consumption when I was young. After that, my father grew abusive. I had two brothers, Damon and Stefan Salvatore. We were always seen together until Katherine came into the picture. My brothers fell head over heels for her and I wanted to be just like her. One day, I saw them locking up Katherine and so I told my brothers. They told me not to move and they'll help her."
Rebekah takes her hand. "I agreed and waited by the gardens, watching them from the sidelines. My father must've saw them helping Katherine and he shot them..I knew she wasn't human but I tried to convince myself she was.."
"That's not the end of it, is it?"
"No..." Cora shakes her head. "The next day, I wanted to frame my father for the death of my brothers but when I entered his office, Stefan was on top of him, eating from him...he must've heard me then turned and began eating me? Feeding from me? Call it what you will. Damon came after, saved me and I haven't seen them since.."
"Cora..they're vampires."
A sigh escapes Coras lips. "I know. I just don't want to know."
Hesitantly, Rebekah wraps her arms around the girl, pulling her closer and Cora returns the hug.
