CORA CARRIES A STACK OF BOOKS while walking then sets it down on a table. She looks to the shelves and places the books in. She felt watched and looks around but nothing making her shake her head and look back to the shelves while thinking about the other night and anyone could tell she was blushing.

She and Klaus almost kissed. She scolded herself for going to quickly into everything. Sure, she had been in New Orleans for three months but she wasn't even close to him. Other than the countless times she would find him everyone and would try to avoid him, knowing she was catching feelings.

Today, Rebekah left a letter on her bed. She and Rebekah had hung out in her house a couple of times which lead to Rebekah mocking Klaus on how Cora didn't know about vampires but rather, she didn't want him in her house. The letter had invited her to play gouf (now called golf).

Cora tilts her head to the side after stacking in the books but when she looks to the side, feeling the pairs of eyes on her again, she sees her boss and a lad around his mid twenties whispering to her, their whispering is hushed while staring at her.

She shifts uncomfortable and picks up another stack of books before moving to a shelf that they couldn't see.

Rebekah and Cora stood on the yard of the Mikaelson mansion. Cora holds the golf club and hits it, squinting her eyes as it misses the hole by an inch. Rebekah focuses on her own ball, holding her club tightly before swinging it and it goes in perfectly. She smiles cheekily and looks at Cora.

Cora chuckles, shaking her head as she felt jealous of the blonde in front of her. "Not only are you beautiful but you're brilliant at everything. And you have good taste in books. Rebekah Mikaelson, i announce you as my official idle." She smiles lightly.

Rebekah smirks. "Haven't I always been?" She giggled and Cora watched her as she picks up another gold ball and sets it on the tee before walking away. Her smile slowly falters, Cora had always found herself comparing herself to others due to her fathers judgement.

"I heard my brother fancies you." Rebekah spoke and Cora immediately meets her eyes. "How did you, Cora Salvatore, do what none of the ladies in New Orleans no matter the many tries?"

Cora shifts uncomfortably. The only time she had a "love life" was when her father would try to set her up with men twice her age. She was just about to turn seventeen in a week, he had been trying to marry her off from the moment she turned fifteen.

"I don't..." Cora stares at Rebekah, noticing how the girl had a bitter smile on her lips making her take a step back, gripping her club with a nervous look. "I don't know..."

Rebekah takes steps closer to the human. "Of course you do. It's not really a simple task." She spoke and Cora chuckles nervously.

"Bekah." Cora says and with that, Rebekah takes a step away from her, as if out of her angry faze. "I don't know. It just..happened. If I were to know, I would've told you. You seem upset, are you alright?"

"Yes. I feel great." Rebekah sends her a sly smile. "The sun is quite literally baking us. Let's go in for a drink, yes?"

Cora nods hesitantly. "Of course." They link arms and begin making their way inside the mansion.  "So, what happened with Aaron?...if you don't mind me asking."

Rebekah shrugs as they make it in. She removes her arms from Coras and looks at her. "Nik scared him away. I'll go make the tea, you have a seat." She turns and walks away.

Cora looks around, taking a seat and clearing her throat and walking over to a couch before taking a seat. She looks around at the large living room filled with wooden walls and a large carpet with leather green couches. A large window right at the middle of the living room with a table that had a lamp, candles and several other tables with flowers.

She puts a hand under her chin, resting her arm on her legs as she looks around with a bored expression. Cora bites down on her bottom lip as she heard footsteps. "Oh, Cora, I did not expect to see you here." She looks up at him, smiling.

"Right. Apologies, I was just waiting for Rebekah. She's making us coffee." Cora states and he looks down to her vervain necklace.

"I was heading out to discuss matters with Niklaus." Elijah smiles as she felt tingly at the mention of his name. "I hope to be seeing you soon again, Cora."

"And so do I, Elijah." Cora smiles and he nods before turning around and walking away. Discuss matters? What type of matters?

Rebekah makes it back and sets the drinks on the table. Cora looks at her. "Thank you." She states as the girl takes a seat. "I was just speaking to Elijah."

"Yes, him and Nik seem to be busy." Rebekah puts a sugar cube in her drink before picking it up, mixing it and taking a sip. "I prefer to exclude myself. After all, with my family, everything ends up with bickering."

Cora sighs and puts a sugar cube as well before mixing it. She remembered how she and her brothers would never argue since they had to stick together from their father. Damon usually got the most beatings but Cora got the worse. Stefan was always 'mommy and daddy's little boy'.

"Elijah seems like a calm person." Cora spoke and Rebekah raises a brow.

"What about Nik?"

"Paranoid. But aren't we all?" Rebekah purses her lips and nods while Cora takes a sip from the drink. "This tastes familiar. What did you put in this?" She remembers this familiar taste that she would always have in Mystic Falls. Whether it was a drink or food.

"Oh, just a herb." Rebekah shrugs.

"Vervain?"

"Yes." Rebekah acts casual and Cora nods.

Cora walks home after her hang out with Rebekah and makes it home (2P.M.).She spends a few minutes with Maximus and cleans up the area before walking back to her doorstep, seeing a velvet box. Her eyebrows furrow and she opens it to see a pearl bracelet then notices a piece of paper peeking out.

She opens the inside of the velvet box and sees a drawing of her, wearing the gown she wore the other night with a horse by her side and their was a note on the drawing that said,

Meet me by the Mississippi River, today by 9 pm sharp, don't be late - Klaus

Cora was at work and it's nighttime. She's putting the books back at its places like she usually does. She carried another stalk of books and sets it in the shelves before looking at the large clock to see its 9:30 PM making her eyes widen and she quickly sets her books down.

She begins hurrying out. "Cora." Someone stops her and she turns to see Florence, her boss who was an old judging lady. "Come here, please." She said and Cora frowns.

"I have to get going..."

"It won't take a moment." Florence ponders and Coras shoulders slump before walking over to the old lady. "I've been receiving complains that you're too distracting towards the gentlemen that come in here." She said.

Coras eyebrows furrow. "Do I stack the books in too loud? If so, I apologizeโ€”"

"They're distracted by your beauty, Cora." Florence interrupts and the girls face fell. "I will simply not allow my business to go down for a girl such as yourself. You can show yourself out." She turns around and walks away.

Cora freezes. She just lost her job. Her eyes sting with tears and it spills, she shakes her head, looking down and wiping her tears. She heard a toddler laugh and run past her with another toddler chasing after him. A sniff escapes her lips as she makes her way out. Accidentally, she bumps into someone. "Sorry." She mumbles, not even looking at them and trying to walk past them but they quickly grab her arm.

"Love?" Her eyes snap over to his. He frowns, eyebrows furrowing. "What's wrong?"

Cora stares at him before crashing into his arms. She couldn't believe it. Maybe she was being dramatic but losing her job because it was distracting? Was that even a reason? She clutches onto his shirt as he hesitantly strokes her hair.

"Who upset you?" Klaus asks asks softly, slowly scooping her in his arms and walking over to a bench. "Cora.."

Cora sighs shakily. "I got fired because apparently, I'm distracting." She mumbles and slowly releases herself from his arms, standing straight and sitting down on the bench. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have thrown myself onto you."

Klaus frowns at her as she quickly wipes her tears. "Stay here, I'll be back in a moment." Hesitantly, Klaus tangles his hands in her hair, pressing his lips against her temples before standing up and striding inside the library.

Cora stares at where he last sat until a lady with wrinkles on the corner of her eyes rushes over to Cora. "Dear, I am so sorry to disturb but I cannot seem to find my children. Have you seen them? Two children, one with brown hair and the other with blonde." She urgently stated.

The Salvatore thinks about the toddlers she saw chasing after each other. "Yes, I have." She quickly wipes her tears again. "Follow me." She mumbles.

"Bless you!" The woman breathes in relief as Cora leads her to the library.

"Mommy!!" The toddlers giggle and run up to their mothers arms.

"I have been looking everywhere for you two." The mother kissed the top of both their heads before looking at Cora. "I cannot thank you enough. I will make sure to pay you back. Thank you." She whispers.

"There's no need for anything. I'm glad to be of help." Cora sends her a soft smile and the lady returns it before walking out with her children.

Cora immediately frowns before looking around for Klaus but she couldn't find him. Her eyebrows furrow as she looks around then walks further into the library only to be met with....Klaus viciously eating the old lady?

"N-Nik?"
