Wren's outfit:
Chapter Eighty-Three
β‘Sundowningβ‘
"Stile: an arrangement of steps that allows people but not animals, to climb over a fence." Scott reads out loud as he, Wren and Lydia sat in the library in front of a laptop. "Yeah, somehow I don't think this is the "Stiles" we're looking for." Lydia said and Wren nodded in agreement.
"Maybe Malia has found something." Scott suggested and Wren shook her head, "No. She's been taking a make-up test all morning." Wren said. Almost the second she said that a coyote howl sounded throughout the school making everyone look up while Wren just sighed in pinched the bridge of her nose.
"I guess that means the test isn't going well." Lydia said and they all looked at each other before getting up and walking out the library. Scott and Wren instantly make a beeline for the basement while Lydia went to check on Natalie real quick.
They run down into the basement to find Malia in coyote form growling at them from the corner of the room. "Malia, it's okay. You're safe." Scott says calmly but Malia kept growling as Lydia, Natalie and Stilinski walk in.
"I'm not gonna hurt you." Scott said calmly again and Malia let out a couple more growls, "I think she's is calming down." Scott said and Wren just looked at him with raised eyebrows as Malia snapped at him a bit.
Stilinski on the other hand looks a tiny scared of Malia's growling, "Maybe you should growl back?" He suggested. Malia growls one more time making Natalie and Stilinski jump a bit while Sheriff looks at Scott desperately, "Scott, you're the Alpha. Can you just make her a little more docile?" Stilinski asked but Wren sighed and shook her head.
"She's not the problem. We are. She's a coyote, they're territorial and this is her territory. We need to get out of here." Wren said and Malia starts barking as Scott nods in agreement, "Yes. C'mon." He said and the five of them moved off to the side.
"Malia came here to get to the full moons. Then we got to the lake house." Wren said making Natalie look at her confused. "I thought you said a wild animal got in the lake house." She asked and Lydia and Wren looked at their mother exasperatedly, "Just be happy for the things I don't tell you." Lydia said and Wren nodded in agreement.
They turn their attentions to Malia walking as she slowly transforms back into her human form. Stilinski quickly looks away while Natalie looks slightly shock while the other three dont even look bothered. "It's alright. I'm okay." Malia said and Natalie sighs in relief and walks over to give Malia her clothes back while Stilinski looks at Scott, Wren and Lydia questioningly.
"Any idea what made her shift?" He asked and they all sighed, "She's under a lot of pressure." Scott said and Wren nodded. "School, her life after graduation." Wren said, "Her mom trying to kill her." Lydia added making them nod. "That shouldn't make her shift." Scott said.
"Could it be connected to Stiles?" Scott asked as he turned to Wren and Lydia making Wren sigh softly, "Hard to tell since we don't know what a Stiles is." She said and before Scott or Lydia could say anything Stilinski speaks up. "It's a he." He said making them look at him in both shock and confusion, "Who?" Scott asked.
"Stiles. It's a family nickname. I never used it, but... my father did."

Wren, Scott and Stilinski are seated in the living room as Claudia arrives and hands her husband a box. "Thanks, honey." Stilinski said and Claudia hummed, none of them noticed the weird look Wren gave Claudia as she take a seat next to her husband before he starts explaining about his father's life.
"He was an army engineer." He said as he takes out a photo of his father and hands it to Scott, "He ended the war, one bridge at a time." Stilinski said and Scott looked up at him. "He went by Stiles." Scott said as he glanced at Wren.
"So what's this got to do with the Wild Hint?" Stilinki asked and Scott looked over at Wren making her sigh softly, "We think that somebody was taken from us." She said. "Any idea who?" Stilinski asked and Scott slightly shook his head, "The Ghost Riders would have erased our memories."
"Well. That's convenient."
"We found a clue." Wren said making them look over at her, "The word "stiles"." She said and Claudia sighed slightly. "And that's why you wanna talk to Elias?" She asked and they nodded, "Maybe he could help us figure it out. Maybe he knows who we're looking for." Scott said.
"Now this is someone your age?" Stilinski asked and Scott nodded, "Yeah, I... I think he was my friend. Maybe he was my best friend." Scott answered and despite Scott's statements, Stilinski doesn't look just as hopeful as the teenagers. "I guarantee my father can't help you." Stilinski sighed and stood up whole Scott handed him the photo back.
"Can we try?"
"Scott, he lives in a nursing house three towns over. He hasn't received visits for years." Stilinski said making Wren sigh looking at the ground. She glanced up and saw elderly woman walking through the living room. Wren glanced over at everyone else only to notice that she was probably the only person seeing her.
The women stops and turns towards Wren before speaking, "The following stops have been canceled." She said and Wren starts hearing the sound of a train again. "The following stops have been canceled." She said again before she starts walking down the hall and Wren turned to Claudia and Stilinski.
"Can I use your bathroom?" She asked and Claudia nodded, "Sure." She said making Wren smile softly at her before getting up and following the old woman down the hall. She turns the corner to find the lady staring at an empty wall, "Why are you here?" Wren whispered but the old lady doesn't say or do anything and instead just stares at the wall as Wren walked up to her.
"Is there something you wanted to tell me?" Wren asked and the lady just keeps staring at the wall and doesn't answer any of Wren's questions, "What stop has been canceled?" She asked. She started to reach out to grab the lady's shoulder but someone calling her name made her spin around.
"Wren? Did you find it? The last door on the left!" Claudia called out and Wren turned back to where the old lady was standing only to find her not there anymore making her sigh and close her eyes for a moment. "Found it!" Wren called back before she took a deep breath and ran her hand through her hair. "Yeah, that's right." She heard a familiar voice say making her look over to see a flickering figure with a burned face leaning up against the wall.
"If I'm harboring your fugitive ass, it's my house, my rules, buddy." The voice said before the figure disappeared. She stared at the wall for a moment before sighing softly and rubbing her face slightly, "What the hell is happening?" She mumbled to herself.
"You're not hearing me. Trust me... you don't wanna talk to him." Stilinski said and Wren walked back into the room, "We just need a few minutes." Scott said and Stilinski shook his dead.
"Scott. My father can't help you."
"Just a few questions. Five minutes!"
Sheriff's exasperation reaches its peak and he speaks to Scott in a sharp tone, "It's not possible for you to just talk to this guy! Okay? Just find another way." Stilinski said as Wren walked over. "But what is this is the only way?" Scott asked and Claudia cuts the discussion to side with her husband, "Scott. You have your answer."
"Sheriff, please."
"Scott!" Claudia said as she stood up making Scott sigh softly, "The answer's no." Stilinski said making Scott and Wren shared a frustrated look.

Scott, Wren, Lydia and Malia walk up to the nursing home and stop outside, "I can't believe we're about to break into a nursing home." Scott said and Malia shrugged slightly. "After the orderlies of Eichen House, pretty sure we can handle some nurses." She said before she walks ahead and enters the nursing house where she finds the head male nurse on a call as the other three follow her.
"I've gotta go. Someone is coming." The Nurse says as he ends the call and turns to Malia, "Hi, over there. There's something I can do-" He asks but Malia just grabs his head and slams it on the table. He falls on the ground after the impact with the table and Malia, off-screen, drags him into a closet and locks him in there.
The four teenagers walked into one of the sitting rooms where Elias Stilinski, is listening to old trumpet music making him turn to them as he hears them walk in. "Yes? Oh, is it time for my medicine?" He asked and Malia shook her head, "We don't have your medicine." She said and Elias sighs in understanding and turns around.
"Are you Elias Stilinski?" Wren asked making him look at her, "I am." He said. Wren glanced at the others before walking over to Elias. "I'm Wren Martin. Do you know who I am?" She asked and he just looked at her confused, "Should I?" He asked and then Scott walked up. "Hi. Mr. Stilinski, we're looking for someone who might be named Stiles. And you went by the name in the army, right?" Scott asked and Elias nodded slightly, "Yes. Best years of my life."
"Do you know any of us?" Malia asked and Elias looked at her, "Of course I do. How could I forget my own son." He said turning to look at Scott who looked at him confused. "Your son?" Scott asked as Wren and Lydia glance at each other confused for a moment before turning to Elias. "Mr. Stilinski. What year is it?" Wren asked making him look at her, "1976. My son's birthday is next week." He answered making her and Lydia sigh softly before looking at Scott and Malia
"He has dementia." Lydia said making Scott's eyes widen before turning to Elias who looked back up at him again, "Is it time for my medicine?"
After a while of explaining things to Elias he turns to Scott, "Scott McCall?" He asked and Scott nods in agreement, "No, no, no. You're my son." He said and Malia stepped forward. "Keep it down, old guy. You'll wake up the other old people." Malia said and then starts eating peas from Elias' dinner making Elias looks uncomfortable with Malia's behavior. "I don't like her."
Wren gave Malia a weird look, watching her eat the peas off of Elias' plate as Lydia sits next to Elias to help him with his memory problems and gives him a firm look
"Your son... is the sheriff of Beacon Hills." Lydia said making Elias look at her confused, "Sheriff? No, no, no. I was in the army." He said glancing at all of them. "Use your claws, Scott." Malia said making Wren look at her wide eyed. "That could kill him." Wren said and Malia shrugged slightly. "I get that but we're running out of time." She said and Scott just shook his head, "I can't." He said.
Malia, both impatient and frustrated that Scott won't do it, flicks out her left hand's claws to do it herself and starts lunging toward Elias but Wren stops her by grabbing her wrist. Elias notices Malia's claws and jumps.
"We are not hurting him." Wren said, looking Malia in the eye before letting her wrist go while Elias looks at Malia with a snide expression. "Young lady, you need to clip those nails." He said and Malia took a step back.
After a little while Elias is becoming more agitated because of Scott, Wren, Lydia and Malia's presence. "You shouldn't be here. If you don't leave, I have to report you." He threatened and Scott looked at Wren and Lydia with wide eyes, "Uh... What's wrong with him?" He asked and Lydia glanced out the window.
"The sun went down." She said making realization cross over Wren's features while Scott just looked confused, "So..." Scott trailed off and Elias starts becoming even more agitated and mutters something in frustration making Wren sigh softly. "He's sundowning. It's when patients with dementia lose their faculties after the sun goes down." Wren explained and Lydia nodded.
"I don't wanna talk to you anymore!"
"So what do we do?" Malia asked and Lydia sighed, "We wait until the sun comes back up." She said making Malia look at her like she's crazy. "We can't wait that long." Malia said and Scott stepped forward a bit, "There's gotta be something we can do to keep him quite."
"Leave. Leave. Leave. Leave."
"I can calm him down." Malia said, steeping forward making them all look at her, "No!" They all said at the same time. Wren glanced down at the table and noticed that most of the papers all at math equations on them. "Lyds." Wren said making Lydia turn to her, "Look at the papers." Wren said pulling out some of the papers and Lydia's eyes widened.
"Elias look at the equations. Look. It's binomial of probability. What's "P"?" Lydia asked and Elias looks at the papers more calm now, "Um, probability of success?" He asked and Lydia nodded. "Right. And what means N minus K?" She asked and Elias slightly taps the paper as he thinks, "Number of trials minus the number of successes." He said and Lydia nods and chuckles.
"What's with math?" Malia asked confused, "It helps dementia patients concentrate." Wren said as Lydia points at another equation. "And this one?" She asked and Elias grabbed the paper, "That's... um... Conditional probability." He said before standing up.
"Let's find the moment of inertia." Lydia said but he didnt answer making them all turn to him, "Elias." She said as he slowly turned to them with a hard look. "That's Mr. Stilinski. Just who the hell do you think you are?" He said making them look at him shocked.
"You know Scott isn't your son?" Lydia asked and Elias scoffed slightly, "Of course I know that. Are brains are getting smaller with the skirts?" He asked making Malia growl under her breath making Scott look over at her. "Malia. It's okay." Scott said making Elias look at him.
"So you're that McCall kid." He said making Scott look at him shocked, "You know me?" He asked. "I know your dad. He couldn't hold his liquor, and certainly couldn't keep that wedding ring on his finger. A beautiful lady walks by and poof, that ring just disappeared like magic." He said making Scott look shocked and Malia growled under her breath again.
"Do you know all of us?" Wren asked making Elias look over at her and realization crossed over his face, "Hey. You're Natalie Martin's daughters. Am I right?" He asked.. "You look nothing like her. You should probably ask if you're adopted." He said, pointing at Wren making her raise her eyebrows before he looked at Lydia, "You look like her though. She was pretty once too." He said
"Stop talking." Malia said angrily as her eyes flashed blue making Scott stand up, "Hey, hey. Malia." Scott said trying to calm her down. "And she also liked to talk like she was the smartest person in the room." Elias said, still looking at Wren and Lydia and Lydia just raised her eyebrows while Wren crossed her arms over her chest, seeming overly calm. Malia on the other hand loses her patience completely, flicks out her claws and lunges toward Elias, "Malia!"
"Enough!"
They turn around and are almost speechless at the Sheriff's presence. He is next to the equally-angry nurse that Malia locked in the closet before Scott regains his composure and attempts to justify his and the girls' actions. "Sheriff, we..." He started to say but Stilinski's expression is the one that shows he couldn't be more disappointed with he four teens.
"I explicitly told you not come here. And who attacked a staff member?" Stilinski asked pointing at the nurse who nodded at Malia, "That's her." He said and Malia let out a low growl. "What the hell were you thinking?" Stilinski asked, glancing at all the teens.
"Noah, we were just having a nice conversation." Elias said, walking around the table but Stilinski ignores his father and turns to Scott, Lydia, Malia and Wren, "The four of you, out. Now." He said and they instantly started walking out the room.
"Noah..." Elias said but Stilinski ignored him and starts to follow behind the teens making Elias angry. "That's right! Act like I'm not even here. Go crawling back to your dead wife and your loser son!" Elias said making Stilinski turn to his father with a confused, "What did you say?" He asked. But before Elias could answer, he instantly goes back to his confused state.
"Is it... time... for my medicine?"

"We know this looks bad." Scott said as they all stood in the holding cell room as Natalie scolds them. "It doesn't look bad, Scott. It is bad." Natalie said and Wren shrugged slightly, "Could have been worse." She said making her mother look at her crazy.
"Could have been worse? You've broken into a nursing home, you harassed a dementia patient and beat up a nurse. This could affect the rest of your lives! Especially you, Malia. They're talking felony assault!" Natalie said and Malia shook her head slightly. "I didn't beat him up. I could have, but I chose not to." She said making Wren hum slightly, "Believe it or not that's an improvement." She said.
Before Natalie could say anything Stilinski walked into the room, "By some miracle, the nurse decided to drop the charges. They're free to go." He said before walking out again and Natalie sighed before looking at her daughters.
"Just because you two are not going to jail doesn't mean you aren't grounded for eternity."
