Wren's outfit:

Chapter Eighty-Four
⚑Relics⚑

"It's a relic." Lydia says as Wren held out Jake Sullivan's ID to Scott and Malia while they stood in the hallway, "What's a relic?" Malia asked. "An object with a fix association to the past. Jake's ID was left behind after he was taken and Gwen found her sister's bracelet in her bathroom for." Wren explained but Malia still looked confused.

"How can someone be erased and still leave something behind?" Malia asked and Lydia sighed slightly, "Conservation of mass. The total of mass of any isolated system remains constant." She explained as realization crossed over Scott's features.

"So, even the Ghost Riders have a weakness." He said and Wren nodded, "A relic could prove that Stiles existed." She said and Scott looked hopeful.

"And we could bring him back."

⚑

Wren stood in front of Stilinski at the station as she shows him the ID and explained everything to him and an idea she had. "You wanna search my house." He asked looking at her like she was slightly crazy as she nodded, "People are leaving things behind. So if Stiles left anything-"

"Why it would be there?" He asked cutting her off making her sigh, "You can't just erase people. They leave things behind." She said. Stilinski stared at her for a moment before sighing and setting down the ID card, "I couldn't sleep last night so... I got, figured I'd do some paper work. The files were in the back of the car so I got to the garage and some junk has fallen off the shelf and I stubbed my toe on a baseball bat. Without thinking I yelled a name." He said and Wren nodded slightly.

"Stiles."

A few minutes later Wren slowly walks around the living room of Stilinski's house looking for anything that could be a relic. Next to the TV, there are pictures of Sheriff and Claudia together and Wren looked at them before she got interrupted by Claudia. "Something I can do to help." She asked making Wren look over at her with an awkward smile.

"No. But thank you, Mrs. Stilinski." Wren said and Claudia nodded, "Well, good luck. I'll leave you to it." She said before walking away. Wren watched her warily as she got a weird feeling from the women.

Wren sighed softly before glancing around until she saw the hall that the old lady led her down the other night. Wren slowly walks down the hallway and over to the exact spot the old woman was standing. Her grows furrowed a bit when her eyes instantly noticed a line in the wallpaper. She reaches out to touch the wall but then a man appears making her jump slightly.

"You didn't see it, didn't you?" His words echoed making her look at him confused, "See what?" Wren asked. "It's right in front of your face." His words echo again and Wren turns to look at the the wall again before turning back to the man. Only to find that he disappeared making her sigh.

"They uh... they were for your birthday." She heard that voice say but it was muffled as it sound like the voice was coming from behind the wall. She slowly reached out and grabbed a piece of wallpaper and starts peeling it but someone grabs her wrist making her jump slightly and turn to Claudia.

She glanced at Claudia's hand for a moment before looking at her and Claudia's face flashed to a pale, tight wrinkled face with her eyes pitch black and her mouth darkened. "What are you doing?!" Claudia asked, snapping Wren out of her trance and she didn't answer as she tried to pull his arm away but Claudia had a tight grip on her wrist making her even more confused.

"You're hurting me." Wren said and Claudia let go of her wrist before turning to look at the ripped wallpaper, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." Wren said making Claudia look at her and nod. "I think that's something we can agree on." She said and Wren looked at her warily before walking away.

⚑

Wren sat behind the computer in her mother's office when Natalie and Lydia walked in, "Were you tearing Cluadia Stilinski's wallpaper off her wall?" Natalie asked incredulously making Wren slowly look up at her. "No." Wren said and Natalie gave her a look making Wren purse her lips, "Maybe- Possiblely- Yes- It wasn't even that big of a tear, she was just being dramatic." Wren said making Natalie sigh while Lydia chuckled.

"She is worried about your mental health." Natalie said and Wren sighed softly, "I saw someone in the hallway. Someone that Mrs. Stilinski didn't see." She said and Natalie nodded slightly. "If Claudia doesn't see ghosts. That's because she's not a Seer." Natalie said.

"Maybe he was trying to help you find something Stiles left behind. A relic." Lydia suggested and Natalie raised her eyebrows, "Did you?" She asked, looking at Wren making her sigh. "No. She sent me away before I could find anything." She said and Natalie laughs sarcastically and nodded, "That's probably because you were tearing wallpaper."

"It wasn't that much!"

Natalie and Lydia walked around the desk to see Wren was looking at and sees that she had found Claudia's student information making her sigh. "Oh, honey. I've known Claudia since high school. I trust her." Natalie said and Wren sighed as Lydia sat down in front of the desk.

"Do you know what a confirmation bias is?" Natalie asked, "The tendency to interpret an information in a way to confirm it is really a interception." Lydia answered and Natalie nodded. "Yes! It's a bias perspective. You're looking for prove to support what you believe it's truth. Because you want it to be truth." Natalie said and Wren sighed.

"Stiles is real. I know it." She said and Natalie sighed, "Do you believe there's a possibility he's not?" She asked and Wren shook her head making Natalie nod.

"Okay. Tell me everything you know. I'll be your unbiased perspective."

⚑

"You want what?!" Melissa asked incredulously before realizing how loud she was and brought her voice lower as she looked at Wren, Lydia and Natalie, "You want what?" She asked.

"Claudia's medical records. Just for a minute. We know it's a lot to ask." Lydia said and Melissa nodded, "It's up there. It's way up there." She said and Natalie sighed softly. "As the more recently enlightened of the two of us, just trust me. There are lives at stake." She said and Melissa raised her eyebrows at her. "Letting the three of you look at private medical records is completely and utterly against hospital regulations." She said making the three Martins look at each other, "So, we better make this fast." Melissa said.

A few minutes later the three of them stood in a back room as Melissa type away on a computer. "Sorry, guys. According to her medical records, Claudia never had children." Melissa said and Wren leaned down to look at the screen before pointing something out.

"Well, but she had-"

"Frontotemporal Dementia..." Melissa trailed off before furrowing her brows, "There must be a mistake." She mumbled as she shook her head. "How long ago? She seems fine now." Natalie asked and Melissa read the screen for a second, "Ten years? I'm surprised she's still alive, honestly. It's a miracle." She said and Wren sighed.

⚑

"Is he okay?" Scott asked as Melissa and another nurse wheeled Argent past him and Malia. "He has blunt force trauma to his temporal bone, three broken ribs, and multiple surface lacerations, which seem to be from whip marks? What he needs is a lot of rest." Melissa said before pushing him into a room.

"What happened?" Lydia asked as she and Wren walked up to them, "The Ghost Riders took everyone. We barely slowed them down." Malia said and Scott turned to Lydia. "Tell us you found something." He said and she signed.

"We found out Claudia never had children. So, Stiles can't be her son." Wren said and Malia raised her eyebrows. "What about a relic?" Malia asked and just shook her head defeatedly. "There never was a Stiles, was there?" Malia asked and Scott sighed, "They doesn't even sound like a real names." Scott said and Wren shook her head.

"We have to keep looking. Check the school records again, or call Scott's dad-" Wren said and Malia cut her off, "We're fighting the wrong battle." Malia said and Wren shook her head. "We're trying to bring Stiles back." She said and Malia shook her head slightly, "The Ghost Riders came back. We still have no way of stopping them. And whatever they are, they're real. We can't keep chasing people who aren't." Malia said and Wren sighed.

"He didn't leave anything behind... Just us."
