Wednesday, 5th of February, 03:00 PM. Classroom 1-A.
"And that's all for today, class! I'll see you all tomorrow!" Miss Kayama called out, wiping down the chalkboard as everyone began to pack up and leave the classroom, as well as her shortly after.
Mikumo made sure to be a little slower than the others, along with Yuu, since they had planned to continue researching for Valentine's Day together, and figure out a new recipe for the chocolate after yesterday's disaster-
"Yamikumo!"
Katsuki smacked his hands onto Mikumo's desk, causing him to look up at his grinning face. "You wanna go do somethin' together?"
"Sorry, Katsuki, I have some... stuff I need to do. Maybe another time." Mikumo felt horrible blowing off his boyfriend, but it had to be done! And Mikumo and Yuu really needed to try and actually figure out a recipe so that his Valentine's Day plan was perfect!
"What do ya' need to do?"
Oh, crackerbarrel dingdangs.
Mikumo looked to Yuu, who was behind Katsuki, for help. She waved her arms around and shook her head frantically, basically telling him that she was completely useless in this situation.
"I... uh..." God, Mikumo knew he was horrible at lying! And Katsuki certainly knew it as well! The only lie he could actually muster was 'I'm okay,' but that didn't really fit this situation!
"I have to, uhm, d-deliver a baby. Yeah."
Perfect lie! He couldn't have possibly seen through that!
Katsuki blinked. "No, you don't."
OH, CRAP, HE SAW RIGHT THROUGH THAT!
Mikumo took a deep breath, trying to calm his erratic nerves as he looked into those oblivious eyes of Katsuki's. How could he lie to that face?!
"Y-yes, I do..." Mikumo was panicking, and he was praying Katsuki couldn't tell, or if he did, he chose to ignore it.
He giggled. "No, you don't, silly." It was adorable, but Mikumo couldn't get sidetracked! He had to stay strong! "What's up with you today?"
"Me? N-nothing's wrong with me. I have no idea what you're talking about." Please don't take notice of the tremor in his voice, please don't take notice!
Mikumo subtly looked behind Katsuki, in hopes that Yuu would finally step in and save him from this nightmare. His hopes almost immediately took a swan dive off the roof as he watched her nervously inch towards the door, smiling awkwardly as she scooted away.
Traitor.
"Are you sure?" Before Mikumo could even process what was happening, Katsuki's arm was around his waist, pulling him in, while his other hand lifted his chin. Mikumo's face flushed, just as usual. "Please, tell me if anything's bothering you."
Mikumo wanted to cry. He felt horrible about making Katsuki worry about him, and he did that enough already, and it was especially painful since he couldn't tell him the reason.
He gave him a small smile, something he had been trying to do more of over the past few months for him. "I promise, I'm fine, really."
"Fine, I guess I'll let it go..." Katsuki's frown curled up into a cheery grin. "You're lucky you're so pretty. I love your smile."
Mikumo really should've started to get used to his compliments, but he supposed some things never changed. "Ugh, stop it, you sap."
"You know I'm never doing that."
Mikumo couldn't help but crack another smile.
He couldn't believe how soft he was getting.
Only for him, though.
