Thursday, 6th of February, 03:04. UA Heroics Department, First Years Floor.
"Yuu, do we really have to do this?"
"Yes, really! You said it yourself that one time, 'the best data is taken from real life.'" Yuu scoffed, tightening her grip on the slightly taller teen's arm, as if trying to keep him from running away. (Trust me, he really wanted to.) "So that's exactly what we're going to do."
"Can't we just look at more of those surveys and pie charts online?" Mikumo groaned, being dragged across the hallway by Yuu.
"No, most of those are out of date, and it's better to get our results straight from the public!"
"What about stranger danger?"
"Mikumo, are you five?"
"Hey, I'm the one who got kidnapped."
"Fair point. But relax, we're not talking to the actual public. We're just going to interview some adults around campus."
Mikumo let out a loud, exasperated sigh, causing Yuu to roll her eyes at his defiance until her eyes lit up as she saw a familiar figure leaving their classroom.
"Miss Kayama, wait up!"
The woman turned towards them, her lips curling up into a smirk as she placed her hand on her hip, watching them approach her. "Ah, if it isn't Takeyama and Akatani~ What can I do you two for?"
"We were wondering if you could answer some of our questions. If you're not busy, that is."
"Of course! Ask away," Miss Kayama told them, brushing back her long, dark navy hair.
"So! First question," Yuu snatched Mikumo's school bag and pulled out his notebook and pen, opening it up to a new page. "What would be the perfect gift somebody could give you on Valentine's Day?"
"Hm... well, I suppose I'd have to say..," She pursed her lips in concentration, before pausing, glancing at the two teens. "Actually, that answer may not be so safe for work...~" She eventually chuckled.
Mikumo was mildly disturbed and was reminded of a certain blonde. However, Yuu was unfazed! "Do you have any advice on how to make someone's partner have an amazing Valentine's Day?"
Mikumo internally sighed at her straightforwardness.
Adjusting her tear-away teaching suit, Miss Kayama laughed. "You kids are so adorable~! But I suppose maybe it'd be trying to indulge in their interests? Although, I'm probably not the best person to ask. After all, I'm more of a one-night stand kind of domina-"
"Okay, I think that's enough..." Mikumo cut off abruptly, trying to protect what little was left of his innocence and walk away while taking Yuu with him. "Thank you for your time, Miss Kayama."
"Anytime~!" She called out after them, watching them get away down the hallway.
"Are we done yet?"
"Of course, not! We still have more staff to question!"
"Please kill me."

"A new recipe book!" Lunch Rush said happily. "But I think the way to a person's heart on Valentine's Day is through their stomach, right? Oh! How about you try this new recipe of cookies I've been working on?" Mikumo and Yuu gladly took the sample β let's just say that they now worshipped and started a cult in the name of Lunch Rush.
"Speakers!" Present Mic cheered, spinning around in his office chair. "And make them a song! Or tell them about everything you love about them!"
"Death." That third-year teacher, Aizawa said. "And just make them feel appreciated. You don't have to plan anything big, or extravagant, or anything of the sort. It just has to convey the message that you love them."
Principal Nezu took a sip of his tea. "Gifting them something they like, or is linked to their interests! I'd sure love another animal tail to my collection!"
"De-"
"No, absolutely not." Mikumo deadpanned, interrupting their Heroics Teacher, Endeavour, and walking past him without hesitation.
After many, many, many more interviews and visits to the UA staff, including the janitorial and maintenance teams, Mikumo and Yuu were exhausted, practically collapsing onto the floor once they were done.
However, their research and interviews did end up helping them with the plan and come to a conclusion!
People suck and the internet is completely and perfectly reliable for things like that!
