"I MEAN, DO YOU REALLY THINK MOM WOULD HURT DAD?" Vanya asks the siblings as they stood in the living room area.

"You haven't been home in a long time, Vanya. Maybe you don't know Grace anymore," Luther insisted.

"Why are you calling her Grace, Luther?" Elli spoke up as she finished her blue-pink sour gummy worm. "I thought you guys called her mom?"

"Because maybe we don't know her anymore, Elli. I mean, why don't you call her mom."

"That's because. . ." Elli's voice went silent and she looked down as her eyes glossed.

"Oh, Elli. . ." Allison said as she went over to her and rubbed her back. Elli moved and shrugged her arm off and shook her head, getting rid of the tears.

"If he was poisoned, it would have shown in the coroner's report," Diego proceeded.

"Well, I don't need a report to tell me what I can see with my own eyes," Luther continued.

"Maybe all that low gravity in space messed with your vision," Diego motioned to his eyes and Klaus chuckled.

"Look closer," Luther instructed as he played the video tape of Reginald's death.

The video showed Reginald on his bed and Grace moving forward to give him a cup of tea. After Reginald took a sip and Grace took the cup back—he looked as if he were choking on the drink and Grace just stood there and watched.

"Dad has his monocle. Mom stands up," Luther points to the actions of Grace. "Monocle's gone."

"Oh, yeah!" Klaus chuckled with a mouth full of chips.

"She wasn't poisoning him. She was. . . taking it," Diego nodded. "To clean it."

Luther sighed. "Then where is it? No, I've searched the house, including her things. She doesn't have it."

"That's because I took it from her. After the funeral," Diego admitted and everyone gave shocked looks.

"You've had the monocle this whole time?" Luther stepped towards him.

"What the hell, Diego?" Allison questioned.

"Give it to me," Luther hissed.

"I threw it away," Diego said.

"You what?" Luther scoffed.

"Look, I knew that if you found it on Mom, you'd lose your shit, just like you're doing right now," Diego motioned to Luther's almost red face.

"Diego, you son of a bitch," Luther got angry.

"Hey. No. Calm down," Vanya put an arm in front of him before he could do anything. "Look, I know Dad wasn't exactly an open book. But I do remember one thing he said. Mom was, well, designed to be a caretaker, but. . . also as a protector."

"What does that mean?" Allison asked.

Vanya looked towards her and said, "She was programmed to intervene if someone's life was in jeopardy."

"Well, if her hardware is degrading, then. . ." Luther thought for a moment. "We need to turn her off."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait," Diego started.

"No, no, no, you can't," Elli placed her bag of candies next to her before she went up to Luther. "You can't turn her off. She's the only other mother figure I have."

"She's not just a vacuum cleaner you can throw in a closet. She feels things, I've seen it!" Diego claimed as Elli nodded.

"So have I!" she exclaimed.

"She just stood there, guys, and watched our father die," Luther insisted.

"I'm with Luther," Allison piped up as Elli rolled her eyes.

"Surprise, surprise," Diego rolled his own.

"Shut up," she hissed.

"I'm not surprised either," Elli crossed her arms with an attitude and everyone turned to her. "Who would be? You're only doing this because you have a crush on him. You have a crush on Bigfoot here," Elli pointed to Luther as Diego and Klaus sputtered a laugh.

"I. . . I don't. . ." Vanya stuttered.

"Yeah, she shouldn't get a vote," Said Diego.

"I was gonna say that I agree with you," Vanya gave him a shocked look.

Diego thought for a second. "Okay. She should get a vote," he nodded to himself.

"What about you, stoner boy? What do you got?" Diego looked towards him lanky brother.

"Oh, so, what? You need my help now?" Klaus asked with a shocked look. "Oh, "Get out of the van, Klaus!" "Well, welcome back to the van." "

"What van?" Allison gave a confused statement.

Luther scoffs. "What's it gonna be, Klaus?"

"I'm with Diego, because screw you!" he pointed to Luther. "And if Ben were here, he'd agree with me."

"No," Ben shook his head. "I don't." Which caused Klaus to hiss at him.

"So that's three?" Diego held up three fingers.

"Wait—" Luther spoke.

"To two," Diego held up two fingers on his opposite hand.

"Vote's not final yet," Allison spoke as Elli nodded. Finally happy someone remembered her.

"What?" Diego huffed.

"Five's not here." Elli gave a tight lipped look and rolled her eyes with a groan.

"They forgot about you, Cheshire," Mace spoke as if she didn't know.

"I know, curly head," Elli rolled her eyes as she flopped back onto the couch.

"The whole family has to vote. We owe each other that," Allison nodded.

"Right," Luther nodded.

"No, we should wait," Vanya spoke as they started to walk away from the living room area.

"Wait! I didn't get to—" Everyone was now out of the living room and ignored the youngest. "vote," Elli sighed as her shoulders fell.

"Elli," Mace sat beside her with a sigh. "you can't let them forget about you like this."

Elli rubbed her hands over her face. "I know, I know, it's just. . . I thought they wouldn't just ignore me like that. I even spoke up, but they still chose to ignore me."

Mace ran a hand through his fluffy hair. "Don't worry. As Klaus before, it'll get bet better."

Elli nodded and got up from the couch. "Come on. I wanna see what Grace is doing and if she can make me some more cookies." Elli smiled as she made her way to the kitchen.

•••••

"She's so pretty. Like, I don't even get it," Elli swooned as she looked at a magazine cover with Lindsay Lohan's face on it that was lying just around in Allison's room.

It was now nighttime and she was laying on her stomach near the side of Allison's bed and Mace was laying atop the bed. Elli flipped through to see articles about Britney Spears, Avril Lavinge, Vanessa Hudgens, Beyoncé and many more famous actors and actresses.

Elli wished she looked like them. Had the fame even sometimes and had people who idolized her looks, people who had crushes on her, or wanted to be her partner.

As she kept flipping through the magazine, Mace traced over the imprints on Allison's sheets and played with his fingers. His gaze was taken when he saw a shadow move down the hallway, so he got up and moved off the bed.

"Where ya goin'?" El asked, lifting her head up from the magazine.

"Yeah," Mace nodded and waved his hand. "be right back." he moved down the hallway to see a man and woman coming down the stairs holding guns. The woman was brown skinned with a bob typed hairstyle, and the man was white skinned with brown hair and beard.

Mace's eyes widened as he realized they started to make their way towards Allison's room. He began to start running as fast as he could towards Elli.

"Elli!" Mace jumped over the bed. "Get under the bed!" she was about to say something, but Mace interrupted her, "Don't speak! Just under the bed!" Eli nodded and rolled under the bed. "Cover your mouth, keep your breathing low." Elli did as told and cover her mouth with her shaking hand.

What was going on? Was someone here? Are they going to hurt her? Was it the man who hurt her parents?

As all of those questions circulated her brain, she saw two pairs of shoes walk in front of Allison's room. Her heart raced and breathing went faster and faster. She watched as one set of shoes stop in front and talk a step inside.

Said pair of shoes moved towards the side of the bed that Elli was just at and picked up the magazine she had held. The person dropped the magazine on the floor and moved to the other side of the bed.

"It's okay, El, it's okay," Mace tried to calm Elli down as she had tears going down her face. "You'll be okay."

The person's shoes faced towards the bed and Elli closed her eyes and held her hand close to her mouth. Not even taking a breath.

"Cha Cha," someone spoke, moving closer to the room. "over here. I think I found something." The person who was near the bed slowly turned and headed out of the room.

They made their way into Luther's room and took a look at his shoes that he had lying on the floor. "Somebody's been eating his Wheaties," Cha Cha spoke as she looked at them on the floor.

As Elli was about to get up from under the bed, Mace stopped her saying, "No, honey. Not yet. Wait til they go upstairs then I want you to run to your room and lock the door, okay?" Elli nodded as another tear fell from her eye.

They both heard footsteps coming from the stairs and and saw the two people leave from Luther's room. They put on masks and cocked their guns which caused Elli to flinch and move her hands to her ears and cover them. The two started shooting which alerted Allison and Luther who were on the rooftop gazing at the stars.

"Cha-Cha, shoot him," The one in the blue, bear mask shouted.

"Get out of the way, dumb-ass," The one in the pink, dog mask yelled and brought her gun to her eyesight and began to shoot.

Elli squealed and closed her eyes as she began to have a slight flashback from the flashing lights and gun shot noises.

"El—" she heard a man voice say. "Elliana! Are you o—" her hearing went in and out as she now heard a woman speak.

A truck.

Crash.

Woods.

An old man with a gun.

Two gun shots.

Her screaming for her mom and dad.

"Daddy!" she shouted for her dad as someone put a bullet through his head. "Dad, no!" she screamed as she started to cry.

"Please! Please, don't! My daughter, please!" her mother begged as the man brought the gun up to Michelle's forehead. "I love you, Elli Belly." Gunshot.

"Elli, breath!" she came back and saw Mace in front of her. They were now sitting beside Allison's bed and Mace had his hands on Elli's shoulders. "Elli, match my breathing, hun," he breathed in and Elli mimicked and then he breathed out and Elli did the same thing. "You're okay."

He removed his hands from her shoulders and brought them back to his side. "Wait," he looked at Elli then touched her face. "wait, wait, wait, what!" he touched her face once again and then her hair. "How am I touching you?"

Elli's eyes widened as she brought her hands up to his hand and felt his fingers. His cold, dead fingers. She brought her hand up to his arms, his shoulder, then his face. "I. . . I can touch you," Elli gave a shocked face. "I can touch you," Elli spoke again and smiled then slapped him straight in the face.

"Ow!" Mace grabbed his cheek as it started to turn red. "What the fuck, Elli!" he groaned.

"You have no idea how long I've been wanting to do that!" she cheered as she then threw her arms around him. Mace hesitated a little before moving his arms around her too. "I don't understand. How is this happening?"

Mace shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe something with the flashback or something with your powers on how you can see me."

Elli smiled and moved out of the hug and grabbed his hands, "Whatever it is, I will work on with you. We can do this." Gunshots moved around upstairs alerting the two. "I need to help them."

Mace shook his head and tried to pull her back but his hand phased through her. He gave a defeated look and sighed. "I need you to go to your room and lock the door," he spoke but she continued to move to the stairs.

She ran up and went towards the main area to see a fallen chandelier on the ground and Luther under it. Allison, Diego, and Vanya surrounded the scene as Luther pushed the chandelier off him and stood up. His shirt ripped which showed his body that was covered with hair.

He looked around at his siblings with a sad, sorry look then made his way to his room. "Did you know?" Allison asked as she stepped up to Vanya.

"No," she shook her head.

"Shit. Mom," Diego made his way upstairs to Graces resting spot. Elli looked towards her siblings with a scared face then she realized something.

Klaus.

"Guys, Klaus," she ran up the stairs and went as fast as she could to his room. She saw the door was cracked open and pushed it open to see Klaus in a towel, dancing to the music that played in his head phones. "Oh, Klaus," she sighed in relief as she tapped his shoulder.

He jumped and made karate hands as he turned to her. He placed both hands on his chest then sighed aloud. "Oh, jeez. Don't scare me like that, wormy." Elli chuckled at the new nickname he gave her from the sour gummy worms she constantly ate and shook her head.

The door behind them creaked open and footsteps came towards them. "Oh, good. At least someone else came to check on hi—" A crowbar flew through the air and hit the young girl in the head.

"Elli!" Mace and Ben yelled as they leaned down next to her. The side of her head started to bleed and Mace looked up to see Ben in front of him.

"El!" Klaus shouted as the person came closer to him and hit him in the head with the crowbar as well, knocking him out onto the floor.

The person in the blue mask pulled Elli over their shoulder and dragged Klaus by the foot as they started to make their way out of the house. They were thrown into a car and driven somewhere, but halfway through the ride when the car stopped, Klaus jumped awake.

He went to move his hands and speak but his mouth was duck taped, so were his hands. He felt something behind him and averted his gaze to the space near him to see Elli in the same position he was.

She too was duck taped but she was unconscious. Blood crept from the top of her head to her chin and her tears were now dried and stained her face.

As Klaus heard talking nearing the trunk, he started to make noises. Anything for maybe someone to hear. The trunk opened to reveal the people in masks which caused Klaus to start screaming and shout but it all came out muffled.

Fed up, the person with the blue mask slammed the trunk shut, leaving an unconscious Elli and terrified Klaus inside.
