ELLIANA ENTERED THE KITCHEN TO SMELL GRACES HOMEMADE DELICIOUS BREAKFAST. She had gotten ready that morning and practically ran down the stairs to eat. As she entered, she saw Allison and Luther sitting beside each other at the table.
"Good morning, everyone," Elli spoke happily as she took a seat at the head of the table near Allison's left side.
"Good morning, my dear Elliana," Grace spoke as she turned around to greet her then turned back towards the hot stove.
"Morning, Elli," Luther and Allison spoke in unison as they didn't take their eyes off of Grace which kind of freaked Elli out a bit.
"Mom?" Luther called. "We need to ask you some questions about the night that Dad died." Grace paused for a quick moment, but then continued cooking. Elli gave a weird look to the side at Allison as they started asking questions. "Do you remember anything?"
"Of course. Sunset, 7:33 p.m. Moon was waxing crescent, dinner was Cornish hen, wild rice, and carrots. Elli's favorite if I might add," Grace answered.
"No. No, uh. . . later that night. In his bedroom. Did you go and see him?" The question made Elli scrunch her eyebrows.
Why did they need to know all of that? What were they talking about even?
Grace chuckled. "I don't recall." Then started humming again.
"Were you ever. . . I don't know, angry with Dad?" Allison asked as Grace plated their breakfast.
"Your father was a good man. A kind man," she corrected herself. "He was very good to me."
"Yes, but after we all left, it must have been difficult," Allison assumed.
"Oh, there were days. You kids kept me oh so busy, and then. . ." Grace paused and her smile slowly fell into a straight face.
"What?" Luther asked. "What were you gonna say?"
Grace fixed her face and replaced it all with a smile. "Eggs are ready!" she cheered as if nothing had happened. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day," she placed the plates in front of the three. "Now, eat up. All of you," she smiled.
Elli looked at her breakfast and gave a grateful smile. "Thanks, Grace! It looks amazing!" she picked up her fork and started eating. Grace smiled and placed a kiss on her forehead before exiting the kitchen.
"So, Elli," Allison pulled her attention as she picked up her fork. "when'd you get home yesterday? I didn't even see you come home, nor did we even know you left."
"Oh, I left with Five and Klaus. They needed to go somewhere and I wanted to go with since I haven't been outside much," she admitted as she placed a fork full of food into her mouth.
"Oh," Allison nodded her head. "But, Klaus didn't come back home till late last night. Where were you guys until then?" Elli tried to hide her smirk as she thought of the night before.
"Twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-fiveโ" Elli stuffed candy worms into her mouth as Klaus counted aloud.
Once Klaus heard that she had never tried candy before, he wanted to change that. So, being the amazing older brother he was, after getting pizza he brought her to a convenience store and, with the extra money they had, bought her three bags of sour gummy worms.
Three whole bags.
As in she finished all three in a span of thirty minutes. She was eating them so rapidly that by the time she got finished with the third bag, she wanted more. Way more.
She ate all the marshmallows too after. She even experienced her first sugar rush and Klaus was there the entire time that happened. Mace too. He was cheering her on as she stuffed marshmallows into her mouth.
"Nothing happened," Elli lied straight through her teeth. "We just got pizza then went back here," she nodded. "Klaus left to go somewhere once we got back."
Allison oh'd as she finished her food. Luther as well. Once everyone was finished with their food, they all departed from the kitchen and went their own ways. As Elli made her way to her room, she decided to make a rendezvous to Fives room to see what he was doing. She walked up to his door to see it closed. She knocked once and waited for him to answer.
Five harshly opened the door, "What? Oh," he shook his head. "Elli. What're you doing here?"
"I wanted to see what you were doing," she smiled. "I'm quite bored and don't have anyone to hangout with at the moment."
"You could hangout with me and tell me how handsome I am," Mace blurted from beside her as he leaned on the wall.
"Shut up," Elli hissed.
"Make me," Mace lifted an eyebrow as Elli glared at him.
"Why, I oughtaโ"
"Sorry?" Five gave confused look as Elli shook her head.
"Dead person," she looked at Five's shoulder and her face scrunched. "Your shoulder's bleeding. Do you need help with that?" Five shook his head as he moved back into his room.
"It's fine," he placed on his button up and started to get dressed. As Elli entered she kicked something on the floor. She looked down to see a duffel bag with a. . . mannequin inside?
"What's this?" she asked as she picked up the bag, putting it on Fives small twin bed.
"That right there is Delores," Five pointed as he put on his blazer.
Elli oh'd. "The one you were in the apocalypse with, right?" Five nodded and Elli smiled. "That's quite cute."
Five gave a confused look. "You're not. . . You don't think that's weird?"
Elli shook her head. "No. Why would I? You had her throughout everything. Why should I judge that?"
Five gave a small smile then zipped up the duffel bag and moved towards his window. He lifted it open then crawled out leaving Elli in confusion.
"Um, Five?" she walked over to the window and poked her head out to see Klaus. . . in a dumpster?
"I'm trying to find whatever. . . priceless crap was in that priceless box so that Pogo will get off my ass!" Klaus exclaimed to Ben as he searched through the garbage.
"I'd ask what you're up to, Klaus, but then it occurred to me. . ." Five spoke as he clicked down the latter. "I don't care."
Elli moved onto the balcony walk way and leaned onto the metal railing.
"Hey!" Klaus laughs. "You know there are easier ways out of the house, buddy?" Klaus waved around a flask in his hand.
"This one involved the least amount of talking," Five walked towards the dumpster. "Or so I thought."
"Hey, hey, hey, so. . . You need any more company today? I could, uh. . . clear my schedule," Klaus took a sip from his flask.
"Looks like you've got your hands full," Five looked at his flask and the fact he's in a dumpster.
"Oh, this? No, no. I can do this whenever. I'm justโ" Klaus fell backwards and started to scrounge around.
Elli gave a disgusted look as Five looked at her and shook his head. "Just a reminder," Elli spoke. "your brother. Not mine." Five rolled his eyes as Klaus continued to search around.
"I just misplaced something. That's all. Oh!" he popped up with a half eaten bagel. "Found it! Thank God!" Klaus sighs.
"If he eats thatโ" Mace started but Klaus already placed it into his mouth.
Klaus gulped it down harshly. "Delicious."
Mace gagged. "Yuck!" he then held his stomach. "I think I'm gonna be sick," Mace held his mouth as he phased through the window and ran inside and Elli rolled her eyes at him being so dramatic.
"I'm done funding your drug habit," Five gave a tight lipped smile and turned around.
"Come on! You don't. . ." Klaus tried to convince but he was already halfway down the alley. "Maybe I just wanna hang out with my brother. Not you," he spoke softly to the side to Ben. "ยกMi hermano!" Klaus shouted. "I love you!"
"Bye, Five!" Elli waved as he placed his duffel bag into the front seat of a plumbing van. "Have a great day! You too, Delores!"
"Even if you can't love yourself!" Klaus exclaimed as he now spat out the bagel piece he ate.
"You need to brush your teeth, Klaus," Ellis spoke as Klaus looked up to her. "That was disgusting," Elli made her way back to the window and into Fives room.

"I think this is it," Klaus spoke as they walked up to the van they assumed Five left in.
"Five!" Luther shouted as he knocked on the passenger side door.
"What are you. . ." Five asked as Luther stuffed himself into the passenger side door as Elli and Klaus fit themselves into the back.
"Oh, my God. . ." Luther grunted as he fit his big body into the small space. Once he finally fit and closed the door, he turned to Five. "You okay?"
"You shouldn't be. . ." Five looked at him. "How did you find me?"
"Um. . ." Luther looked to the back to see Klaus flirting with Delores and Elli looked behind herself, moving an object to the side.
"Hey, baby. . ." Klaus spoke to Delores as he cradled her in his arms. "Hey, a little privacy, guys. We're really hitting it off back here," Klaus spoke to them as Five threw an empty coffee cup at him. Klaus screamed as he hid behind Delores and Elli squealed and shielded her face with her hands.
"Get out! You can't be here!" Five screeched as he turned back to Luther. "I'm in the middle of something."
Klaus moved up to the middle console. "Any luck finding your one-eyed man?"
"No," Five whispers.
"What's he talkin' about?" Luther asked.
Five points to Klaus. "Does it matter? It's Klaus," he sighs. "What do you want, Luther?" Elli moved towards the front and placed her chin on Klaus' shoulder as Luther began to talk.
"Um. . . So, Grace may have had something to do
with Dad's death," he admitted as Elli's eyes widened.
"You what?!" she shouted scaring everyone. "How could you think that?"
Luther ignored her and went on and said, "So I need you to come back to the academy, all right? It's important."
Five rolled his eyes. " "It's important." You have no concept of what's important."
"Hey!" Klaus suddenly spoke. "Did I ever tell you guys about the time I waxed my ass with chocolate pudding?" he laughed as Five looked out the window and shook his head. "It was so painful," Klaus groaned in pain.
"Did it work?" Elli asked in curiosity as Klaus nodded, trying not to laugh.
"Oh, one hundred percent, dear," he patted her head.
"What are you still doing here?" Luther asked with an attitude as he looked at Klaus.
"What?" Klaus gave confusion. "I. . . What? I need an excuse to hang out with my family?" Elli shook her head and gave a faint 'no.'
"We're trying to have a serious conversation," Luther motioned to number five and himself.
"What, and I'm incapable of being serious? Is that what you're saying?" Klaus asked.
"Luther's got a point, you should get out," Five defended as Klaus gave a betrayed look.
"What?" Klaus huffed as he groaned then opened the van door and hopped out. "Fine!" he shouted then slammed the door shut.
"You don't have to be so rude to him," Elli defended. "He just wants to spend time with you guys."
Luther sighed. "You need to leave too," Elli's jaw dropped. "You're too young a you won't get what we're talking about."
Elli gasped. "I'll have you know that I have a three point six GPA. And that is above average for my age, so don't say I won't know what you're talking about," she fired back then opened the van door and stepped out. "Eat my shorts!" she slammed the door then walked towards the convenience store she saw Klaus walk into.
"Did she just reference Bart Simpson?" Luther looked at his brother.
Five nodded with a tight lipped smile. "Yep. And, I don't even think that she knows who that is to be honest."
Elli opened the door to the store and looked around to see Klaus in the chip isle.
"What are you doing in here, little one? Did they kick you out too?" Klaus pouted as he looked at chips.
"Yeah," she sighed. "They said I was too young. I'm tired of everyone doubting me because of my age. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I don't know stuff," Elli expressed as she threw her arms in the air.
"It's okay, hun," Klaus ran a hand down her cheek. "They'll stop, don't worry," he continued to go through the isles of the store.
Elli decided to go on her own and went towards the isle next to the previous one and looked around. Multiple candies and junk food lined across as Elli moved quickly as soon as she saw the sour section.
"You want some?" Klaus asked as she shrugged.
"I don't know. I mean, last time I got really hyper," she rubbed her arms.
"Oh, come on! It was your first time. You only live once, so," he took a bag of Sour Gummy Worms and a bag of Warheads and placed them into her arms.
" "Warheads. Extreme Sour Candy," " Elli read with a cautious face. "Are you sure I should eat these?"
Klaus nodded. "It's fine come on," he motioned to the door.
Elli moved with him. "Don't we have to pay!" she shouted as he started to run and she started running after him.
"Whoo!" Klaus cheered as he ran from the cop that started to follow Elli and him.
"Stop! Hey! Stop right now!" The cop shouted at the two as they ran near the van. Elli turned a sharp corner and turned invisible as the cop ran by, chasing after Klaus.
"Hey, bitches!" Klaus ran in front of the van as some of the food he was holding started to fall to the ground. The cop blew his whistle as Klaus kept running.
"You, get back here!" The cop demanded as Klaus ran but a cab came in his way.
"Out of the way, asshole!" Klaus shouted at the cab driver as he ran faster and faster.
"Now I'm starting to wonder if that was the wisest decision," Five spoke as he shook his head.
The van was filled with silence before the side of the van door opened scaring both Luther and Five. They watched as the van tilted the slightest then the door closed. They watched as two bags of sour candies dropped to the ground and heard someone's heavy breathing.
Five and and Luther spoke to each other with eye contact as they watched as Elli turned back visible.
"Christ!" Luther shouted leading Elli to jump. "I completely forgot you could turn invisible," he rubbed his forehead as Five breathed out.
"Sorry, should've warned you," Elli tried regaining her breath but then her eyes went wide as she realized what she just did. "I just stole."
Five nodded. "Yeah. We noticed that."
Elli started to breath heavily and she started to faze in and out of invisibility. "Oh, my lord. I just stole," she held her head as she ran over the thought a million times. "I'm gonna be in so much trouble. Pogo is gonna be so disappointed in me. Oh, and so is Grace. My mom, oh lord, my mom would kill me if she found out I stole," she started to blab and Luther tried to calm her down.
"Hey, Elli, Elli, you're gonna be fine," he held a hand out to her but she kept shaking.
"No, no, Je dois les retourner. Mais, je ne veux pas. J'aime les bonbons. Je veux des bonbons. C'est la troisiรจme fois que j'ai des bonbons de toute ma vie," Elli started to speak French which freaked them both out.
It's been years since either of them have spoke French, so translating would be a problem.
"Elliana!" Mace yelled which caused her to stop rambling. "Breath, bitch, breath. You're going to be okay. They don't care about people stealing that much these days," Mace explained. "Please breath, darling. In and out, remember?"
Elli took a deep breath in and then out and after looked at Five and Luther who were wide eyed. "Sorry," she gave a lopsided smile. "Didn't mean for that to happen. I'll just see you guys at home," she opened the door and jumped out.
"Um," Elli closed the van door and started to walk the way she thought home was. "she knows she's not going the right way right?" Five asked Luther.
"Give her a second," Luther turned his head.
Soon enough, Elli turned around and went back towards the van and walked up to the passenger side. She knocked on the window and Luther rolled it down.
"I don't know how to get home," she looked down.
"Yeah, we know," Luther nodded and opens the passenger side door and got out. "I'll be hoping to see you back at the academy, right Five?" Luther asked as Five gave a thumbs up with a fake smile.
Luther smiled back then closed the door and started to walk home with the young girl by his side.
"You know he's probably not gonna come," Elli spoke as she put the gummy worms under one of her arms then started to open the other sour candy.
"Yeah," Luther sighed. "I know."
Translation to what Elliana said:
"No, no, I have to return them. But, I don't want to. I like candy. I want candy. This is the third time even having candy in my entire life."
