"BE CAREFUL, OKAY?" Allison spoke as they all exited the car now at Jenkins grandmothers house. "We don't know what Peabody's capable of."
"Yeah, he didn't seem dangerous when I first saw him," spoke Diego. "Looked kinda scrawny."
"Yeah, well, so are most serial killers and mass murderers. I mean, look at him," Allison pointed to Five who trailed behind all of them.
"Thanks," he gave sarcasm.
"Wait, you're a murderer?" Elli got nervous and attached to Diego's side.
"Not anymore," Five gave an answer, looking at the girl.
"Good point," Diego went back to the subject. "So what's this guy want with Vanya?" As he said that, Allison took a turn and went behind the house. Maybe to another way in.
"I don't know. How about we ask him after we kill him?" Five asked as he began to walk up the steps.
"Whoa, whoa. Hey, look, I'm gonna burst through. . ." Diego began to speak, but then noticed Allison was gone. "You know what? It would be nice for people just to stick toโ" Five spacial jumped into the house, interrupting the man. "the plan," Diego sighed. "Great."
"Well, you still got me," Elli smiled. "First off, let's see if it'sโ" Diego jumped through the glass door and landed on the floor. "unlocked," Elli sighed as she finished.
"Subtle," Allison quipped as Diego groaned.
"You know, the door was unlocked," Five opened the door for Elli.
"Yeah, well, my way works just fine," Diego got up and wiped the glass of him. "Spread out. Yell if you, uh. . ." he moved towards the living room area. "you know, you're in trouble," he sighs.
"Ah, inspiring leadership," Five looked towards Allison.
"One of the greats," she smiled then started to move around.
"What are we supposed to be looking for exactly?" Elli turned around to ask Five, but he was already gone. "Yeah, sure. Leave the twelve-year-old by herself," she said to herself. "Really working out for them, huh? You know, what if I just went missing one day? What would they do? You know what, I already got my answer. And what might that answer be, Elli?" she asked ones self. "They wouldn't care, obviously. Why ask, Elli?" she went on having a conversation with none other than herself.
She was quite used to doing that. That's why Mace would call her Alice sometimes. Since Alice would talk to herself a whole lot, Elli started to do it too.
"You're talking to yourself. You know that?" Diego popped into the living room.
"I know. I don't ever really have anyone to talk to," she sighed and plopped onto the couch.
"I thought you had Mace," he sat next to her.
"Yeah, but, sometimes he just likes to talk about himself." Mace heard that and appeared near the door and flipped her off.
"Have you thought about making friends?"
She nodded. "I tried when I was younger, but everyone didn't like me. So, I've never really had a friend like I do Mace."
"I could be your friend. If that will make you happy?" Diego offered and Elli's eye lit up.
"Really?"
"Yeah," he nodded. "I mean, if you're fine with it."
"Yeah! That's grand!" Elli jumped up and ran upstairs. "Five! Allison! Did you hear that? I have a friend! A real friend!" Diego gave a faint smile as he heard the girl running upstairs.
"Guys, you need to see this," Allison called out. Diego groaned as he got up from his comfy spot on the couch and went to find Allison. He went up the stairs where the voice originated from and found himself in front of the attic latter.
"Allison," he called out and looked up.
"Yeah. Up here," she said and he started to climb up.
"All our faces are burnt off," Allison observed the burnt up action figures that were set on a dresser in the attic.
"Well, that's not creepy. This guy's got some serious issues," Diego gave a weird look at he looked at the guys shrine.
"Shit," him and Five spoke in unison.
"He was obsessed with you guys," Elli looked at the multiple posters, magazines and comics. She quickly picked up one and started to flip through it.
"What are you doing?" Five gave her a weird look.
"I've always wanted to read one, but Reginald always kept them locked up so I couldn't."
"This was never about Vanya. This was about us," Allison summed up as Five sighed and then fell to the floor.
"Five. Wh. . ." Allison bent down and lifted up his sweater vest. Five groaned more in pain as the noticed blood and a shrapnel wound on his stomach.
"Jesus, Five. Why didn't you say anything?" Diego asked as he looked at him pained brother.
"You have to keep going. So. . . close," Five began to close his eyes.
"Five. Five!" Allison shook him.
"We need to get him back home. He'll bleed out if we just leave him here," Elli spoke as she placed her arms under Fives top half and Diego grabbed him bottom half. They carefully exited the attic and went down the stairs out the house.
"I'll drive," Diego said and Allison passed him the keys. Elli moved to the backseat and placed Five horizontal across the seat so his head was on her lap.
"What's going on?" Five started to become awake. "Am I going to die?"
"No, no, no. You're not gonna die. Just. . . stay calm, okay? The sun's going down. The sun's getting real low," Elli began to say repeatedly to Five as he began to calm down, mimicking her words.
"Sun's going down. Getting. . . real. . . low," he said slowly as he began to fall back asleep. "Wait! The sun's going down?!" he began to panic.
"No, Five, it's an expression to calm down. Now, hush and listen to me. The sun's going down. The sun's getting real low. Sun's going down. Sun's getting real low." Over and over and over again the young pair repeated.
"Okay. I'm good now," Five breathed out. "For some reason, Elli, you look so familiar," he pointed towards her.
"Oh, well, that's good. I guess," she mumbled the last part to herself.
"I don't know why. You just look like someone I've seen before. But, an older version older," he began to say random things.
"Okay, Five, blood spell loss is getting to you."
"We're here," Diego spoke as he got out the car. "Open the doors for us, Elli, would you?" he asked and Elli nodded, trading off Five and went towards the grand doors.
"We should have taken him to the hospital," Allison said as she and Diego shuffled into the house with Elli close by.
"A kid with a shrapnel wound might raise some questions," Five mumbled under his breath.
"Yeah, well, so does the murder shrine in Harold Jenkins' attic," Allison set Five down on the couch and took off her jacket as Five groaned in pain once more. "He's still losing blood. What do we do?"
"We gotta get the shrapnel out," said Diego. He looked up and his attention was taken over and he followed his eyesight.
"Diego, where are you going?" Allison asked as her brother got carried away by the force.
"You're gonna be okay, Five. Just. . . stay calm," Elli said to Five who gave her a glare. "I'm sorry, I've never done this before. I'm not good with calming people down. Usually, Mace calms me down so it's the other way around. I don't know."
"Five, honey, let's get you cleaned up, okay?" Grace came over and Allison gave a shocked look. Grace cradled Five in her arms and brought him upstairs to his room.

As Grace applied medical tape to Five's wound, Allison, Diego and Elli peered in from the doorway. "Anything?" Diego asked Allison.
"There's no answer at Vanya's place. And the receptionist at her music school said she was a no-show for her lessons today," Allison looked at Diego and saw his slightly frightened look. "Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah. I don't know, it's just surreal seeing her. I just wanna tell her that I'm sโ" he cut himself off and Elli gave him a weird look. "We don't have enough time. We gotta go."
"I don't know, Diego," Allison held a hand on his chest, stopping him from moving. "Five is laying there, unconscious. We need him."
"You have me," Elli spoke up. "I can help," she nodded.
"We can do this ourselves," Diego ignored her, leading Elli to roll her eyes.
"We did that already, remember? We all ended up dead," Elli's eyes widened at Allison's statement.
"We what?" The two looked at her. "Why didn't any of you tell me that?" They looked at each other silently and Elli huffed. "Some family you are," she turned her heal and went into Fives room.
She moved next to Grace and watched as she finished fixing up Five. "Grace," Grace hummed. "I need you to fix my head. Maybe stitch it or just clean it." Grace tilted Elli's head down towards her and stood up.
"I'll grab cleaning supplies. You stay put here and watch your brother," she gave a smile and exited the room.
"He's not my brother," Elli said to herself and sat down.
She looked back towards the doorway to see Allison and Diego were nowhere to be found. Elli looked down at Five and saw that he was starting to wake up. "Oh, good. You're alive and well," she smiled.
"Where's Allison and Diego?" he asked.
"I don't know. Somewhere. No one tells me anything," she shrugged as she leaned back in the chair. Five sighed as he slowly sat up. "I don't think you should be getting up, Five."
He waved her off. "I'm fine," he closed up his sleepwear top and then looked towards Elli. "You still haven't finished the story. You know, the one with your parents."
"Why do you wanna know so bad?"
"Just curious," he shrugged.
"There not much to finish," she huffed. "After we landed in the woods and my parents started to check up on me, a man came down. Thought he was gonna help us, but I was. . . so wrong."
Micheal looked towards the man who came down the hill with an object in his hands. "Please, help my wife and daughter," he pleaded as unbuckled his seat belt. "It's okay, baby. The man's gonna get us out of here." A gunshot rang and Micheal was shot in the head.
Michelle let out a heart breaking scream as Elliana called for her dad and started to cry. "Please! Please, don't! My daughter please!" Michelle begged.
The man held no guilt as he moved towards the woman and brought the gun up towards her forehead. "I love you, Elli Belly." Another gunshot rang and Elli was splattered with her mothers blood.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Elliana wailed to her mom, shaking her shoulders. "Daddy, wake up!" she moved to her father, but his head stayed against the steering wheel. The man moved to the window and watched as Elliana cried to her parents.
"Then, the police came and helped me out of the car. I didn't say a word, but I bet they could probably tell what happened at the site of the scene. I got cleaned up then got brought to the police station. Stayed there for a couple nights while they called family members."
"Did you have anyone else to go to?" Five asked as he watched the girl fiddle with her flannel.
She shook her head. "No. While I was at the station for a couple of days, my grandmother on my dads side passed away and my grandfather couldn't take it anymore so he moved to Quรฉbec where they met.
My grandmother on my moms side died before I could meet her and my grandfather on her side lives across the country and traveled a lot for work, so that couldn't work. A year later, your father came and adopted me. And," she held her arms out. "here we are."
"Any siblings?" pondered Five.
"Well, I am a big sister," she looked up and gave a small smile. "Well. . . was. My mom was three months pregnant. She was gonna give birth in June and we already found out the gender a week earlier when she had her gender reveal party."
"Was it a boy or a girl?"
"It was a boy. I was really happy that I was getting a baby brother. We were gonna name him after my grandmothers middle name, Arden. I saw his ultrasound photos and everything as he was in my moms stomach. Even felt him move one time," Elli gave a disgusted face which caused Five to chuckle a bit. "Don't laugh. It was really weird. Like, she had an alien in her stomach or somethingโmaybe even a monster."
Five began to laugh once more which caused Elli to roll her eyes. "I'm sure it wasn't an alien. That's not possible."
"You never know. But, still. I was really excited," Elli looked towards him.
Graces heals clicked on the floor as she turned into Fives room. "Ah, look who's up," she spoke to Five as she set the medical supplies next to the bed on the night stand. "Elli dear, you only need to be cleaned and receive no stitches. Good thing too, since I know you dislike them."
Elli silently cheered as she clapped her hands and Grace began cleaning the top of her head. "Love the new look by the way, bug. You look adorable."
"Thanks, mom," Elli's and Fives eyes widened as she quickly revised herself and said, "Grace. Meant Grace. Sorry."
"It's okay, Elli dear. You can call me whatever you'd like," Grace gave a smile as she placed down a dirty, rectangular cotton cleaner and picked up a new one. "You know dear, you look exactly like your mom with your new clothes."
Elli scrunched her eyebrows. "You know what my mom looks like?"
"Yes. Saw in the records. She was very beautiful. Just like you, dear," she patted her shoulder and placed down the now third dirty cleaner she just finished using. "All cleaned up. Now, I suggest you both get some sleep. You've been up all day and both your wounds need to rest," she collected her items and prepared to leave the room. "Goodnight," she said to her two children.
"Goodnight," They mimicked.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Five," Elli began to get up from her chair. "Do you want me to bring you Delores?"
Five nodded and Elli sat the mannequin in the chair she once resided on. "Goodnight, Elli," Five smiled as he leaned back into his laying position.
"Night, Five," Elli clicked off the lamp light and exited the room, closing the door behind her then made her way to her own room to catch some sleep.
