"SINGER ELISA EVANS AND ROCK STAR NICK JONAS ARE NOW ENGAGED AFTER NICK PROPOSAL TO HER DURING HIS CONCERT LAST NIGHT..."

JOE felt his body tensed up and froze at the mention of one of his brothers and the best friend who's always been there for him โ€” and that he's always seen as a little sister. He didn't remember the last time he talked to any of them or even the last time they've last seen each other; but if he had to be honest with himself, he did feel a bit guilty for just losing contact with the girl who's always been his little sister without even saying anything to her. He felt like a jerk doing that to her just because he was upset and felt betrayed by Nick. Going his own way, Joe joined DNCE who allowed him to be as wild as he used to be, and then he met Sophie Turner; the two have been trying to keep their relationship private.

Joe slowly turned around to look at the news being played on the TV. A picture from Nick's concert last night of when Nick and Elisa kissed onstage was on the screen as the news continued to go on about Nick's proposal to her, and just by looking at the picture on the screen made memories come flowing back into his head. There were a few times where Joe would stare at Elisa's phone number, wanting to hear his little sister's voice again but he never got in contact with her or any of his brothers.

"Babe?" Sophie Turner walked over to her boyfriend and placed a reassuringly hand on his shoulder. "Babe, maybe, you should talk to your brothers and your sister," she said, knowing all about what happened.

Joe gently shook his head, his eyes didn't leave the news. "We're all doing fine without each other," he muttered.

"But you miss each other," Sophie said. "You can't avoid them forever, honey. Someday, you're gonna have to come face to face with them again."

Joe couldn't help but think about it, not moving a muscle to move his head away from the TV. Meanwhile, Kevin seemed to have moved on from that life. He was married to Danielle and the two of them had a lovely daughter named Alena. They were also expecting to have a second child someday very soon, giving Alena a younger sibling of her own.

The only difference was that Kevin wasn't speaking with Joe, Nick, or Elisa either and yet, he was trying to watch TV with his wife while Alena was taking a nap when the news of Nick's proposal to Elisa came on. Seeing the news made Kevin remembered of the old days where him and Joe would always team up and try to bring them together and during the old days, he always thought that he was able to tease them about it, but he couldn't cause no one was speaking to each other, and they couldn't change that no matter how much they wanted to.

"Honey, maybe it's time you talked to them." Danielle told him gently.

Kevin shook his head, "They wouldn't answer anyways. Besides we're all doing fine without each other."

"It may look like that, but you miss each other," Danielle said softly, trying to urge him to call them.

Kevin didn't say anything but kept thinking about it. Later that night, Kevin kept staring at the bright phone screen and his fingers itched to type something, but he didn't move a muscle. He just stared at his phone, wondering if he should do it or even what to say.

Eventually, he turned his phone off without a word and sighed, placing it on the table. Just when he went to walk away, his phone screen lit up with a notification.

Back with Joe, he stared at the phone screen with his little sister's name as the contact. He itched to type something and as he held his breath, he typed something.

Joe : Hey...

He was about to hit send but hesitated. He knew that she must be upset with him for just losing contact with her and not even bothering to try to contact her again. And as the guilt came rushing back to him, he released a sigh as he deleted the message and turned his phone off. He went to put his phone down but before he could, his phone screen lit up with a notification, so he clicked on it, only to find a unexpected message from someone.

Nick : I miss you guys.

Kevin : I miss us too.

Joe didn't know what to feel from this. Relived? Angry? Upset? Betrayed? He didn't understand. Of course, he missed them, but that betrayal and hurt came rushing back and he could still hear Nick's words from when the band broke up in his head.

Joe : I don't understand.

He was about to turn his phone off when this time, two unexpected messages came through.

Elisa : I miss us. Just the four of us hanging out. Like the old days...

Nick : Can we meet up?

Joe hesitated again but typed a response, hitting sent once he was done.

Joe : Time and place?

Nick : My place, 6?

Joe : Sure...

Kevin: See you guys...

Joe turned his phone off, placing it onto the table before he covered his face with his hands. He had no idea what he just gotten himself into.

Present

Silence filled the air and there wasn't a single peep of sound expect for the sound of Kevin softly strumming the guitar to "Please Be Mine" since that's the song when their music careers first started, and they all wanted to know if they still got it. Memories replayed like clockwork in her head as she looked at them, they were all remembering the same thing.

They come and go, but they don't know
That you are my beautiful
I try to come closer with you
But they all say we won't make it through

It was Joe who say the first part of the lyrics, hoping that he got it started. Elisa felt the memory replayed and as it did, she sung the chorus.

But I'll be there forever
You will see that it's better
All of our hopes and dreams will come true
I will not disappoint you
I will be right there for you till the end
The end of time
Please be mine

The lyrics flew out of her mouth so easily. They all had the song memorized and it was Nick who took the next verse.

I'm in and out of love with you
Trying to find if it's really true
Oh, na, na, na, na
How can I prove my love
If they all think I'm not good enough?

On instinct, their voices came together in perfect harmony as if they were the same teenagers who wrote the song back in the old days for that moment.

But I'll be there forever
You will see that it's better
All our hopes and dreams will come true
I will not disappoint you
I will be right there for you till the end
The end of time
Please be mine

With one look from this, it was easy to see that they still got it. It was a gift and it couldn't be taken away. But if they were going to do this, they had to do this the right way. They had to focus on just being brothers and best friends.

They had to focus on just being a family, having fun together again.
