Rimuru was unconsciously lying on the cold ground, spider-like cracks etched on the floor.

The buildings around him were clear, black, dusty, and burned. Probably because of the wide flame cannon that Ilsang Myeong, also known as the 'Disaster of Questions', had cast upon the district area. But it was not long after Rimuru devoured him along with the flames.

After Rimuru passed out minutes ago, the barrier he invoked during the battle with the Disaster of Questions was immediately lifted.

Now, all the people outside the barrier could finally see what had happened inside the barrier's range, but they didn't just stop there.

Since the barrier that kept them from getting involved in the fight was finally lifted, the clueless finally stepped in and took in the scenery before them.

They couldn't believe what happened there. The cars, trees, street lights, and even buildings were black, almost as if they were coal, and gave off a burnt smell.

"What happened here?" One of the people said in a wavering voice. Fear and bewilderment were expressed through her widened eyes and trembling lips.

More people stepped inside the burned district, the damaged streets crackling with every step they took.

"D-Did the disaster.." A man trailed off. At some point, his voice couldn't get out because he already knew the answer.

He found it a waste of breath to speak out when he knew everyone was just as aware as him.

"But the disaster was already killed, right?"

That reminder was a relief.

"T-Then... W-Who killed it?"

That question sent a shiver through their spines. A cold bead of sweat ran through their nape at the thought of someone capable of such a feat.

Maybe it was possible, some of them thought. But after taking in the burnt scenery, their thoughts were thrashed aside.

"There's no way a human can defeat such disaster.."

Disbelief and fear masked their faces as they wandered around the burned streets.

Their faces were cringing and tearing up at the sight of their old home, which had turned into a burned part of the city.

"Whoever they are, they are a monster."

.

[You are the first in the scenario to fight and defeat the returnee!]

An interface pinged in front of Rimuru's sleeping face. His long blue hair was messy, covering most of his beauty.

[Main Contributors: Han Rimuru]

Then another one made his fuzzy golden eyes flutter awake. He groaned. His material body, also commonly known as the human body, was exhausted from all the fighting.

He drained too much magicule that wasn't even from this world, just so he could use the powerful stigma [Gluttony].

[You have created a 'Fable'.]

Another one popped up again.

'What fable is this system talking about?' Rimuru thought as he removed the hair from his face. Then he tried to sit down, but a sharp feeling in his head made him wince and fall back on the ground.

Honestly, being in pain made him realize his lapses towards his human body and his limits as a human.

He silently missed his slime body, although it was probably erased from the face of his old world because of Hinata.

[The Fable, 'One Who Devours Disasters' has been created.]

'What?'

Suddenly, the sharp, throbbing sensation in his head slowly died out, making it easier for him to move without wincing from pain.

He supported himself with his hands, then slowly and carefully, he pushed himself away from the ground until he was sitting down.

"Great Sage," he called out, to which his partner answered almost immediately.

{Understood. Analyzing the fable...}

It was almost endearing how Great Sage could easily detect his intentions. With that level of attentiveness and loyalty, Rimuru knew for sure that the Great Sage was far beyond any waifus in the world.

[The Fable, 'One Who Devours Disasters' is licking its lips.]

'Huh?'

Rimuru felt an ineffable feeling wash over him from the depths of his soul. Yet he could describe it in two words.

'So satisfying.'

His human body, which could feel hunger, felt incredibly satisfied. It was like drinking a lot of water until your stomach was full, and filling up the void any food in the world cannot fill.

{Master.}

Great Sage's voice echoed inside his mind. It must have a clue as to what the fable was and why it was licking its lips.

{Analysis of the Fable is still ongoing... Providing credible conclusions regarding its existence are collected. Would you like to hear them?}

« Yes/No »

'Sure, why not?'

Rimuru nodded internally. If it's only conclusions, then it might be an opinion which was closer to reality. But if it's Great Sage, then he trusted his skill—no, partner, with his own life.

Great Sage started the report.

{It seems like the fable is connected to your unique skill/stigma, Gluttony.}

That explains why. Rimuru already suspected since it was obvious from the name.

{The star stream must've recognized your achievements and formed your fable after defeating two disasters.}

"Two disasters?" Rimuru managed to croak out. The pain was slowly disappearing from his body, and his throat was slowly returning to normal. His mouth was dry, yet he didn't feel hydrated.

In the end, Rimuru took out some water from his [Stomach Sack].

After moisturizing his throat with water, he spoke. "I defeated the Disaster of Questions. But.. Who's the other one?" Rimuru placed the water bottle aside and asked.

{The dragon from the subway.}

"Oh. But I didn't kill it though?"

{Possible answer, it must've counted because of your immense power display after using [Gluttony] on both separate battles.}

He nodded slowly. 'I guess that's a possible reason.'

{Notice. Currently interacting with the Fable 'One Who Devours Disasters'}

'Oh?'

{The analysis speed of the individual, Ilsang Myeong, has been increased through the fable's effects.}

Rimuru's eyes widened in amusement. That was good news! That means he'll gain more advantage and power through the fable. Then, a cunning, mischievous smirk appeared on his face as he rubbed his hands together.

'Fables, huh?'

That day, Rimuru was determined to acquire more fables. He stood up from the ground, and his body felt lighter now that the pain had subsided. The scent of the burned district filled his nostrils as he took a deep breath.

"That Myeon Ilsang wasn't a disaster for nothing," he said as he looked around the district. Even the sturdy buildings and concrete tiles weren't spared.

Rimuru started to walk from the district, and then he sensed a bunch of people who seemed clueless. If people saw him, they would've thought that he was the one who defeated the disaster, or worse, they would think he was a disaster.

But that's just ridiculous, right?

In the end, Rimuru left the scene and ran towards the west side of Seoul. Just as he was about to leave, he saw a familiar silver-haired woman carrying a heavy, big man. Lee Seolhwa was carrying Yoo Junghyuk's heavy body.

'Seriously... That big guy likes to get carried around.'

He tried to approach them, but stopped. Rimuru felt inconvenienced worrying about the two, although it wasn't pleasant seeing Lee Seolhwa carry Yoo Junghyuk.

Rimuru wanted to take the man into his arms so the beauty wouldn't be so stressed carrying a body to wherever they would go.

'Nah, they're adults. I should go look for Gilyoung and Donghoon insead'

Rimuru turned around and went in another direction. Based on Great Sage's update about his skills, his [Magic Sense] had leveled up to the point where he could detect the whole Seoul Dome.

'So, if my senses aren't wrong, Lee Gilyoung and Donghoon are in the Yongsan-Gu area.'

Rimuru smiled at the thought of seeing them again. He was really fond of kids, especially when they reminded him of his old students at Freedom Academy.

His thoughts remained on his students before his mind drifted to think about the two boys he was going after.

[The exclusive skill, 'Mimicry Lvl.?? ', has been activated!]

Wings manifested on his back, towering his own figure that cast a shadow on the burned ground. It had black scales, like dragons, which were rare. It was a major contrast to his silver-blue hair and pale skin, which were almost angelic, if not for the dragon wings, that made it look unconvincing.

Lee Gilyoung was an 'Insect Collector'. Even back then, at the subway, he noticed the boy's hobbies of picking random ants or sometimes staring at some cockroaches.

Rimuru couldn't help but chuckle every time he recalled the memory of Gilyoung picking up a cockroach nonchalantly. It was weird, but the gesture made him think of Apito and Zegion.

Another boy was Han Donghoon, the kid he saved during his time on Dongmyo Station. He was originally manipulated by Lee Sungkook, used by the prophets to communicate with each other. Rimuru freed the boy from the mind control and immediately empathized with him.

At first, Donghoon was fearful and distant towards them, but Rimuru and Kim Dokja were able to gain his trust.

As Rimuru thought about those two, he suddenly sensed someone looking at him. He darted his eyes and turned around, then his expression softened when he saw a young girl with brown hair.

Then, he went comically dreaded now that someone had seen him

'I was supposed to sneak out or they'll think I'm the one who defeated the disaster!'

To which he did, but people might reach disturbing conclusions about his existence, and it might attract unwanted attention from the constellations.

His smile faltered for a moment, and the brown-haired girl stepped back cautiously.

"Uh," Rimuru muttered shyly before waving his hand. The girl looked at him guardly but with fear, before waving back at him.

"What's your name?" Rimuru asked the girl in a gentle voice, almost like an angel soothing her soul. But the wings on his back made the young girl doubt.

She looked at Rimuru's gentle expression, before looking at his dragon wings. She hesitated, she thought that the person she was facing wasn't a person at all. But she swallowed and found herself in a position where she couldn't escape.

Might as well answer the question.

"M-My name is Shin Yoosung," she answered. She gripped the hem of her sleeves as she took another step back.

Rimuru noticed her fear and smiled, before taking a step back. The girl's eyes widened, questioning why this person was taking a step back.

She was threatened by this person's presence, yet the latter stepped back to show that there was no harm intended.

She lowered her guard down once she realized that Rimuru didn't mean any harm, nor would he do it, but her eyes were still doubtful because of his wings.

"U-Um... Miss"

"I'm a man," Rimuru scratched his cheek awkwardly. Being assumed to be a woman because of his looks was kinda awkward. Even the girl looked at him with widened eyes, her mouth agape, as if she couldn't believe what he said.

Then she swallowed down the revelation before asking another question.

"Mister... Who are you? Are you a monster? Or an angel? "

Her eyes kept looking at his gentle features, then at the ungentle, almost demon-like wings on his back.

There was something about this person that wasn't normal. From the color of his silver-blue hair to his golden eyes that felt like they could see through her soul.

Rimuru found it amusing, it's been a while since someone asked about his existence. He thought of an answer before placing a finger on his lips and smiled.

"My name is Rimuru.."

His wings flapped, dragging his body upwards and his feet immediately left the ground.

"And I'm not a bad slime!"

Those where the words he said before flying away from the scene. He was too fast for the Shin Yoosung to see, which placed an awestruck expression on her face.

'A slime?'

For some reason, she couldn't help but smile.

'How weird.'

She thought before walking away.
