jungwon sighed for the ninth time as he massaged his temple. he stared at the laptop in front of him, hoping that his brain would finally start working.

"glaring at your laptop won't help you finish your mock test, i hope you know that."

he rolled his eyes at the asshole who's been sitting across from him inside the library. normally, jungwon would find another seat just so he could avoid the guy, but the library is packed with students at this time of the day. in conclusion, i'm stuck with this spawn of satan.

"you talking every second isn't gonna help me either, so kindly shut up hyung." jungwon tried to give him a sarcastic smile before going back to his test.

sunghoon shrugged. "didn't know that. do you want me to help you?"

"you? helping me? sounds like a total lie."

"no, really. let me see," jungwon lets sunghoon take his laptop to check his mock test.

it was a GE subject, so sunghoon probably took that same test back when he was in first year.

sunghoon clicked on his laptop for a couple of minutes before handing it back to jungwon. the younger glanced at him with a judging look before checking the test.

to his delight, the remaining numbers already have answers.

"shit, you actually helped me- wait, are these even the correct answers or are you just setting me up?"

"what would i gain if i do that to you?" the guy stared at him with a blank expression.

"i don't know, maybe you like seeing me suffer?" jungwon states blatantly. "anyways, thank you for this."

sunghoon just nodded and went back to reading his book, while jungwon took out his phone to check if there were any messages.

the other just rolled his eyes at him. "stop talking to me."

"who are you even texting? you look annoyed."

"it's just riki. he's coming over here, says he has something to ask you."

sunghoon went back to reading his book before answering. "that kid's more annoying compared to you."

after a few minutes, jungwon spots riki walking his way towards their table. the boy sits beside sunghoon, quickly facing the older.

"is sunghoon hyung your new bff now?" jungwon speaks, but ni-ki just ignored him. this bitch...

"sunghoon hyung, can i ask you something?" riki shifts on his seat, still facing sunghoon. "how long have you been friends with sunoo hyung?"

"since third year in highschool. why, you want to ask me things about him?" sunghoon chuckles, his eyes still on the book.

ni-ki nods eagerly. "yeah, kind of." jungwon groaned at his friend's stupidity. why am i here witnessing this?

"why don't you just ask him yourself? sunoo seemed to be comfortable towards you these days."

riki tried not to smile at sunghoon's statement. "yeah, but it's still a bit awkward. i just want to know the things that he likes, maybe i can make him feel better."

sunghoon finally closes his book and turns his head to look at ni-ki. "ah, i get it. i'm pretty sure sunoo already mentioned to you that he has an ex-boyfriend."

the two freshmen grew silent. they were slightly shocked at how blunt sunghoon can be. he didn't even hesitate to say it.

"yes, he did mention that-"

sunghoon cuts ni-ki's words off. "then you should just ask him. he knows sunoo the most."

riki tilts his head to the side, looking a bit confused. "...who?"

the older's eyes widened a bit as he realized something.

"you don't know who his ex is?" sunghoon laughs while ni-ki just remained frozen on his seat. jungwon is just listening as he lays his head on the table.

"no wonder you're so confident in making a move on sun. i wonder if you can still be confident if you know who the ex is." sunghoon stands up and pats riki's back.

"goodluck kid, may you survive the heartbreak."
