sunoo raised an eyebrow while facing the mirror, while riki chuckled lightly as he sat on the small sofa behind him.

they're currently inside the salon, and it's been ten minutes but sunoo still hasn't decided which hair color to choose. and riki, well, he's not helping. at all.

"aw, you and your boyfriend are so cute when you two are bickering." the staff beside sunoo muttered, leaving him with a shock expression on his face. he was thankful that ni-ki didn't hear what the lady just said.

"no, we're not a couple." he winced, feeling a bit awkward at the mention of the word couple. "we're just uh, friends."

the staff let out a sarcastic laugh. "sure honey, let's just say you two are friends." she  stands up and grabs the hair comb on the rack. "have you decided on the color?"

"umm..." sunoo looks back at riki who is busy scanning a random magazine. "hey, what do you think?"

"hmm?" riki flips the next page before glancing at him. "if you really can't decide, then choose black. it's the safest color and it'll definitely look pretty on you, hyung." he then smiles at sunoo to assure the older.

okay. shit, i think i'm gonna be sick. sunoo shakes the odd feeling out his mind.

"let's dye it black."

"hyung," sunoo stops sipping on his matcha milktea when ni-ki calls his attention.

"what? you need something?"

riki blows air out of his mouth before talking again. "i know this may be uncomfortable for you, but can i ask something?"

the older scoffed. "you think it may be uncomfortable for me, but you're still asking? okay then. what is it?"

"why did you break up with your ex-boyfriend?"

silence envelops the two of them. sunoo wasn't expecting that kind of question, and riki regrets asking that. it sounds like he's been trying to force himself around the guy, and he doesn't want to be like that.

so when sunoo answered, he didn't know how to react.

"i didn't break up with him, he did." sunoo proceeds to stare at the trees outside of the café, trying to distract himself.

"i thought we were fine. i love him, he loves me— or so i thought." he lets out a sarcastic laugh. "i guess that wasn't enough for our relationship to last."

riki shifts on his seat. fucking damn it, i wanna punch myself for bringing that up.

"sorry hyung, i shouldn't have asked that."

sunoo shrugs. "no need to be sorry. we ended things, i couldn't move on; end of story. there's nothing else to feel sorry about."

riki stares at sunoo's eyes. his eyes really look like they hold the galaxy, but right now... it feels dull and empty.

"then... should i try, hyung?" ni-ki blurts out, making sunoo confused.

"try what?"

riki leans forward, facing sunoo closer. the short distance between them suddenly made sunoo feel uneasy. there's that feeling again.

"you still love him right? should i try and see if i can steal you from him?"

at this point, sunoo would've laughed at the younger. but the look of determination on riki's face says that he's not joking. is this a prank? i hope it is.

whoever is that asshole who let you go, he made the dumbest decision of his life. riki thought. i'll make sunoo hyung mine, that's for sure.
