Thanks for tonight, I didn't know that I needed it so much," I smiled, trying not to be too captivated by the sight in front of me.

Eli never looked this pretty; The dim porch light grazed his skin in the perfect way, making my knees weak.

"No problem, I needed it too," He smirks before looking down at his feet for a moment.

In the movies, this would be the part that the main character and the love interest would kiss a soft goodnight to each other.

Of course, I wanted to kiss him; I wanted to release all the emotions and the secrets that I've been keeping deep inside out of fear of ruining us again.

But I didn't.

I leaned over to him and pressed a soft kiss on his hot cheek, just like friends would, "Good night my little dove." I whispered before squeezing his hand.

"Good night y/n," He looked at me enter my apartment with a soft smile, progressively letting go of his grip.

All night, all I could think about was what would've happened if I had kissed him the way I really wanted to.

~~~
This Saturday morning, I forced myself to do something I should've done weeks ago.
My heart was beating in front of the LaRusso's mansion before I was half calmed down by Sam's familiar face.
"Oh, hey y/n," She had a confused looked on her face, probably wondering why I was here.
"Is Robby here?" I cleared my throat nervously.
"Yeah he's by the pool," She pointed by the side of the house, knowing I knew where it was. I nodded before nervously walking towards Robby, still thinking about what I was going to say.
There he was, shirtless by the pool, laying on a long chair with his sunglasses.
"Hey Robby," I sat next to him.
"Y/n?" He sat up straight, "What are you doing here?"
"I-I wanted to talk to you," I sighed shakily, playing with my fingers. "I needed to-"
"I know, It's fine," He relaxed back in his chair with a soft nod.
"What?"
"You love him, and you want me to back off, I get it," He added, still looking forward at the pool.
Love him?
I hated myself for being so obvious.
"Robby I-"
"Look y/n," He took off his glasses to look at me in the eyes intensely. "You don't need to explain anything to me, it's my fault. I knew you didn't want nothing with me and that you were always his from the beginning," He said quickly in one short breath.
I couldn't help but to feel guilty, "I'm sorry,"
"It's fine," He reassured again, a soft grin appearing on his once serious face, lifting up the mood.
"Are we good?" I asked
"We're good, I promise,"
So much weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I didn't want to leave the Valley, being on bad terms with no one.
"Are you guys together?" He added curiously, without any trace of jealousy which made me so
happy for some reason.
"No, I don't know if we'll ever be again," I sighed, "But I still didn't want to lead you on, you know?"
Robby nodded understandingly, "Don't worry y/n, it'll fall back into place,"
ELI'S P.O.V
I was so happy about the previous night I had with y/n, it was so simple yet so sweet.
Since we made up, I felt like I was living on a cloud in a constant world of happiness; There was no questions that that girl brung out the best in me.
Each time we were apart, I made up an excuse to go see her (most of the time it was math related), and every time we were together I cherished every single thing, especially since I knew she was leaving soon.
She'll be back next summer, I constantly told myself to not break down into pieces.
It absolutely broke my heart but at least I knew that I could still stay connected with her; I just hoped she wouldn't forget me.
I knew I couldn't make her stay. If that letter didn't, I didn't know what will. But that's okay, my heart will forever belong to her; The girl that stole my heart in one summer.
I really wanted to do something special for y/n before she leaves, I had to; A simple goodbye wouldn't do.
Y/N'S P.O.V
The sun was setting down on Reseda in a multitude of beautiful colors that forced me to go get some fresh air.
It was a perfect excuse to get away from Skylar who didn't stop teasing me since she caught me and Eli studying Sunday night.
I walked around the empty park with one of my earphones in my ear so I could still easily hear my surroundings. I wasn't a particularly paranoid person, I just wanted to be safe.
"Hey there y/l/n" Kreese appeared from behind a tree, a cigar between his calloused fingers, making me jump.
"What do you want?" I backed up slightly, trying not to look so scared.
"We just wanted to say hi," Tory joined us with an evil smirk, getting closer to me.
"Back up," I warned up intimidatingly, clenching my fists which made Kreese smile.
"Or what?" She pouted sarcastically while all I could think about was our last interaction.
"Take one more step towards me and I'll snap you in half,"
"You got a lot of anger in you y/l/n" Kreese exhaled smoke from his mouth, "We could use that to your advantage,"
"And become like her," I sighed to Tory, "No thanks...I was a Cobra once too, the best decision I ever made was leaving," I only looked at her now.
"You've became weak since then," She glared at me in disbelief.
I almost flinched at the thought, "It wasn't a fair fight and you know it,"
I didn't know if I saw right, but it looked like her face slightly dropped before she looked at Kreese questionably.
He nodded in encouragement.
"Wanna show me a fair fight y/l/n? Bring it," She got into a fighting stance, her fists ready to be thrown.
"You don't want to do this Tory, you're better than this,"
Her brows furrowed while she looked down, making Kreese clear his throat impatiently.
She nodded slightly before swinging at my jaw. Luckily, I was fast enough to block her with my forearm.
Tory then kicked me roughly in the stomach, making me stumble back with a loud groan. I wasn't gonna back out.
I spun around quickly, and side kicked her in the ribs before grabbing her by the shoulders and kneeing her.
She freed from my grip before constantly throwing punches at my face that I blocked for the most part.
A loud screech, coming from a newly parked vehicle, made Kreese get between us.
"Well well well, what do we have here?" The old man smiled at the sight facing us; Johnny and Eli rapidly getting out of the car with both panicked face.
"Get away from her or I'm calling the cops," Johnny got in Kreese's face intimidatingly but he only laughed in response.
Eli grabbed me by the wrist, pulling me aside, the men kept arguing back and forth while Tory just stood there.
"Why the hell were you here by yourself?" He almost whispered, his hand still tightly wrapped around my wrist.
"There was a cute sunset," I shrugged, "How did you know I was here?"
He said nothing while his blue eyes pierced through mine intensely.
"Have you been following me?"
He scoffed, "Of course not, I used 'find my iPhone', I couldn't help myself after every time I had to save you," A smirk appeared on his face.
"You had it on all this time?" My eyes widen, remembering the first time he 'had to save me'
"Maybe," He shrugged, looking to the side.
"We'll talk about this later," I rolled my eyes before turning back to Kreese and Johnny.
Tory only looked at me with an unreadable expression.
"Get into the car," The blond man signed to me and Eli, "I won't be long,"
Eli nodded to Johnny before pulling me in the car with him; We both got into the backseat.
"So you had been stalking me," I only looked forward, avoiding his lingering gaze.
"Not stalking you... I just wanted you to be safe,"
"By stalking me," I shook my head, while looking down.
"Don't be mad at me y/n, I hate it when you're mad at me," He signed while putting a hand on my thigh.
I embarrassingly blushed, almost instantly at the contact.
"S-sorry," He yanked his hand off as soon as he realized what he was doing.
Uncomfortable silence filled the car.
"I understand that you want me to be safe or whatever," I sighed, "But I would've been fine,"
"I know, I'm sorry, I'll stop," Eli let out quickly, almost begging.
"Swear?" I began to tease him with a soft smile.
"Swear," He brung out his pinky that I childishly intertwined with mine while we both laughed at the whole situation.
"I'll miss you y/n y/l/n,"
"I'll miss you too Eli Moskowitz,"
His face softly flushed at my words, making my eyebrows raise in surprise.
"Are you blushing?" I tried containing my laughter with a knitted smile.
His eyes connected with mine before they traveled across my face, making me suddenly aware of my every move.
I didn't even realized the way he was progressively getting closer.
The tension was suffocating.
"Can I kiss you?" He whispered into my ear, making me let out a staggered breath of satisfaction.
I only nodded softly before he cupped my cheek and grazed his lips onto mine.
The kiss was sweet and gentle with a dash of longing from the both of us. His soft, plush lips giving me the thrill that I had missed.
As good and perfect as it was, it was short lived by Johnny slamming the door shut being him.
He looked at us through the rear view mirror, as we pulled away quickly from each other, "Oups, sorry,"
