The snow fluttered around the HQ for the first time in a long time, you awoke to the soft voices of the birds outside your room window, You cherished the window for some time before deciding to get out of your room

After changing into thick clothes, you reached outside, the cold air greeting you till you hissed and rubbed your hands together in an attempt to warm it up again

" [y/n]? my god! what are you doing out there in the snow!" Hange, a voice you knew called out to you

You turned your head, a bit startled at her sudden shouting

" oh Hange, I was just admiring the view" you said as you looked at the trees coated with snow again

" well its pretty cold out here, you should head back inside, seeing the others will eat and then venture outside" Hange explained, not moving from the entrance

You turned to her and smiled before walking to her

" Christmas huh, a happy holiday" you said as you walked beside Hange

" oh yeah! its always my favourite holiday as it cancels expeditions, don't tell Erwin though!" Hange joked

You smiled, " do you get gifts?" you quizzed

Hange looked at you, " being in the survey corps, there's not much we can afford but it teaches us to be more grateful, so i take anything as a gift, even small gestures as a gift " Hange explained

You chuckled, " what about the captain?" those words escaped through your lips

Hange of course couldn't help but smirk at you

" oh? the captain? his too imitating that no one dares to gift him but me and Erwin, we give him a few things here and there" Hanji spoke her mind

" oh " was all that came out of your lips

Hange stared at you and smiled, " but i bet a special someone can make him happy ~" she chimed before entering the mess hall

You looked at her join her assistant while you glance at Levi and softly smiled

" [y/n]! [y/n]! " Sasha waved to you

You chuckled and walked to her " whats up?"

" me, Jean, Connie, Mikasa, Armin and Eren made plans to have a snowball fight in the snow, you joining?" Sasha chuckled

You smiled, " I'll consider it" you replied

Sasha nodded, " i hope you come and join! and i also wonder what we are getting for Christmas! as people say your suppose to get something on this holiday" Sasha thought to herself

" Sasha the only thing you want is food!" Connie replied smugly

" well of course i do!" Sasha ranted with food in her hand

You giggled at the interaction

Afterwards, you saw everyone rush outside while laughing, you watched them and went to your room to get something then join them

You went in your room and pulled out a present to place under the tree

You smiled as you saw the name you wrote on there, then without time to waste you went outside and walked to the tree and made your way out

Until some sound caught you off guard

There was a room with the door slightly cracked with what seemed to be faint light fading from the room

Curious, you knock on the door and hear a come in and as you thought, there sat your captain

" [y/n]? something you need?" Levi spoke

You looked for a good second, he seemed so...lonely

" oh nothing, although i was wondering why you weren't joining the scouts" you chuckled awkwardly

Levi glanced out the window and shrugged

" waste of time" He made out

You pouted at that sentence

" well its Christmas, and you should head out, its the only time of the year you can sort of relax" you reasoned

Levi looked at you and sighed

" 10 minutes" he sighed and grabbed a scarf and walked past you

You turned and followed him out

After heading out you saw Levi feel the snow on his finger tips and his eyes showing some sort of happiness that made your heart pump faster

" captain-"

" its Levi" he spoke, softly

" ah Levi...um is Christmas your favourite time of year?" you asked in the moment of silence

Levi side-eyes you before looking at the ground

" it was" Levi commented

You looked at him, your face saddening and then turning to the ground, not questioning more as you were afraid of the burden it had on him

" the view is so pretty" you said closing your eyes and breathing in the air, lifting the mood

Levi glanced at you, his eyes glowing at your appearance,

despite all the coldness, he somehow felt warm inside.

You cheekily smiled and went on the floor of snow

Levi looked down on you, clearly confused

You rolled a snowball and stood up hiding the ball behind you

"what were you doing?" Levi asked confused

You smiled before throwing a snowball at him

of course you knew what you did and the death sentence you brought but you thought it would bring you closer to him somehow

Levi was stunned at first, he was so shocked at your boldness but smirked and rolled up a snowball and did the same action

This made you happier and shocked he played along

It created a ripple affect that meant you chased each other around while giggled and laughing, of course being far from the scouts site

" tch your burning up" Levi appeared in front of you by the fire place, fixing your minor cuts and bruises you picked up

" you caused this" you whined

" and you made the game brat " Levi looked at you before focusing on the wound again

You chuckled, " but it was fun anyway" you nearly whispered

Levi chuckled a little, hearing your words,

" it was"

After a few minutes of silence though, he finished and you sat next to him as you two warmed up by the fireplace

You smiled to yourself replaying the events that just happened

Levi however looked at you as you weren't looking at him

he looked at you, his mouth wanting to twitch into a smile

" i just hope you don't leave me...

you just make me so happy " he thought

In the moment Levis hands trailed to yours that were empty

As you felt the hand touch you, you looked at the man but couldn't help but smile at his gesture

After looking at each other for a brief moment, you two realised your actions and looked away in embarrassment, causing your hands to be empty again

In the awkward silence, you remembered something

" oh wait there's something i need to give to you" you said, the urge to give him the present unbearable

" I'll wait" Levi sat there awkwardly , avoiding your gaze

You nodded and walked out quickly and grabbed the gift

After not long after you went back in the room with a box in your hands

" whats that for?" Levi couldn't help but comment

" its a gift...for you" you shyly give him the gift

Levi was stunned by the gift but hid it for the most part

His hands were holding the gift and his eyes were searching it

" i...thank you [y/n]" Levi thanked you

" you can open it" you said happily

Levi nodded and opened the gift and sure enough, there behold the tea cup set

A few months ago you heard it peaked his interests so you got it for him

Levi was taken back at the gift, he was so happy at the set and, finally he looked at you

" thank you, you don't know how much this means to me" Levi said to which you chuckled a little

" its all good, i know your obsession with tea cups" you joked to which Levi couldn't help but giggle a little at your statement

There was a bit of silence before you decided to change that

" also..by the way, i have one more thing i need to tell you" you looked at him

" mhm?" Levi looked at you making you nervous

" you see...i like you Levi...i couldn't help but want to tell you back, you don't have to return my feelings though i just wanted to let it out" you smiled

Levis eyes widened as he looked at you

And for the first time he smiled

And out of nowhere you were pushed into a hug

" i like you too"

After a few seconds of registering those words, you smiled and slowly hugged back

After you parted, Levi grabbed both your hands

" [y/n] promise me you won't leave me...you just... make me so happy" Levi said with sincerity in his eyes and tone

You smiled at his words,

" of course, i will only belong to you forever and forever"
