Kiyoomi can't stress enough the 'just' but you have just both confessed to each other. It was finally out in the open. It was finally finally out in the open.

Someone just needed to ruin it.

The interruption, the frustrating interruption, came in the form of Miya Atsumu.

"Omi!" he shouted from afar. He and his team have just turned a corner when he spotted the germaphobe.

Kiyoomi groaned while you smiled. "It's your friend, Kiyoomi! Look!" you exclaimed.

"Why are you excited?" he asked but was left unanswered as the twins jogged, and stopped in front of you two.

"Omi!" Atsumu yelled.

"Atsumu." Sakusa spat out in disgust. He turned to Osamu and bowed a little, "Osamu," he greeted.

"Eh!?" Atsumu exclaimed at how different Sakusa's reaction is to him and his brother.

"Don't be dramatic, you jerk," Sakusa wasn't really hiding his annoyance.

"Kiyoomi, that's not nice," you scolded.

The tall twins looked at you and you suddenly felt embarrassed. When the blondie wasn't speaking and being all energetic, he really is intimidating. His twin is too. Their height and stature didn't help.

"Hi," you said and bowed politely, "I'm Minami Sakura, Kiyoomi's classmate."

"Oh, why is such a pretty lady with this grump?" Atsumu joked and started to step closer to you before Sakusa pulled you by your hand closer to him.

"Piss off."

Both were amused at his actions. They never saw him easily touch someone as he did to you.

"Right," you spoke , remembering something. Quickly reaching down to your paper bag, you pulled two rectangular food. "Energy bars? I only bought 13 so please don't tell anyone."

"Yeah, sure!" Atsumu accepted your offer and so did Osamu. For some reason, it felt satisfying when people accepts your energy bars.

"Uhm, so why are you here? Aren't you from Inarizaki?"

"Practice match, the rest of the team is still getting out of the bus but 'Tsumu ran off and I had to go with him, he's a handful," Osamu explained.

"Ah, that's like an unofficial match, is it?"

The gray-haired twin nodded.

"Oh, right! Where's your captai-"

"Alright, that's it, we're going."

Kiyoomi gently dragged you away by your hand. You waved awkwardly at the twins.

Sakusa remembered how you looked so interested at the captain when you searched them that one time.

And he doesn't wanna see you both hitting it off because of your kind of similar personalities (caring and mature).

"That was rude, Kiyoomi," you reprimanded. You two slowed down as you approached their locker room.

He only scoffed in reply.

"They seem fun," you said.

He kept silent.

You finally reached the locker room.

"Kiyoomi, are you okay?"

He didn't reply, and it was silent for a while. You knew how to read between the lines. You started to get bummed out by his silence.

Driven by your annoyance, you walked out without saying goodbye.

As you walked towards the gym, you were wondering if what he said earlier was real. Because how he was after it was grumpy which made him liking you unbelievable. You thought that it was because of the interruption earlier. But when you two were already alone, he was so silent.

You frowned as you entered the gym. Komori saw her and started to walk towards you. He kept calling you, but you just kept walking. He got in the gym earlier and started his warm ups already.

There were a few players who were playing with the ball and so you were almost hit by it if not for Kita's interruption.

"Atsumu, the game hasn't started yet, you could hit someone," Kita said to Atsumu with a stern voice. He then turned to you, "miss, you should look where you're going."

You were shocked to see that you were almost at the center of the gym, you turned red from embarrassment because everyone was looking at you.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

"Sakura!" You finally heard Komori, and you turned to him. He stopped beside you and greeted Kita.

"Excuse us, Kita-san," he smiled and looked at you, "let's go over there, Sakura."

"Sakura, are you okay?" He asked when you were safely on the sidelines.

"I'm fine, Komori."

"Come on, you looked like Kiyoomi when the store runs out of his favorite cleaning products."

"Really," that made you smile a bit, imagining a sad Kiyoomi, "I kind of want to see that."

"Yes, because you're head over heels for him," he stated.

"You know?" you took a step back, 'was it really that obvious'?

"What? It's true? That was a shot in the dark!"

"Well, it doesn't matter if you know anyway," you sighed, and your shoulders slumped down, "I already told Kiyoomi."

Komori almost toppled over from shock. "W, what?"

"I told him, but I don't know."

"So that's why you're sad?"

"Let's not think about that now." You shook your head to shake off any distracting thoughts. "So, practice game, huh? Is that something to be nervous about?"

"I am nervous a bit. Especially with all the eyes watching."

His eyes looked at the crown outside the gym doors slowly gathering and there were also a couple of students inside.

"Wow, there are a lot of people."

"This is nothing compared to the crowd in tournaments."

"You can do it, Komori!" you cheered.

"Thanks. But Kiyoomi would hate this."

You both looked at the crowd, the girls giggling and whispering with each other. Sighing, you turned back to Komori, "They're dedicated, aren't they? With the banners and all."

"They sure are. Look, there's the heartthrob," he pointed at the entrance and Kiyoomi was making his way towards his cousin and you.

Seeing how calm and composed he was, it irritated you more. You barely get irritated, but you were certainly feeling that now. It might be over the top but you were in danger earlier โ€” with the ball flying towards you โ€” because of how confused you were of his feelings.

Yet here he was, with his usual poker face.

Before he could reach you two, you turned and walked away. Sakusa was shocked. He hurried over but was stopped by his cousin.

"Dude, the game is starting, you spent a lot of time out there. Do you think she'd feel better if you don't warm up before a game because of her? That lady is the most caring woman we know."

He sighed and started doing his warm ups.

"What happened to you two?"

"She confessed, I confessed, then Atsumu had to interrupt us." His response was not without cursing.

"Woah, really?" He resumed his warm ups with him. "She told me she did, she was so out of it when she entered. Almost got Atsumu's serve land on her face."

His head snapped sideways when he heard that. "What!?"

Atsumu will see a different anger on Kiyoomi's face if they ever talked after the match.

"No, it's all good, Kita-san saved her."

Well, it was good that an accident was avoided but Sakusa's rather unreasonable jealousy resurfaced.

"I should've let her stayed in the locker room while I changed," he grumbled.

"What?"

He chose to ignore his curiosity and kept silent. His mind coming up of scenarios of you two together. His mind felt the need to make him frown more.

Soon, the practice match started. You were watching with Masaru. He decided to pursue the managerial position and he was extremely nervous with his first practice match.

You calmed him down throughout the game which made Kiyoomi grumpier.

During one of the breaks, Kiyoomi approached you.

"Sakura," he called.

"Sakusa-san, do you need anything?" You smiled as if you just didn't call him by his family name, or the confession earlier didn't happen.

He was taken aback, "Uh, no."

You just smiled and walked away.

Itachiyama won the practice match.

Even if it was a practice match, Kiyoomi wanted to win. But it wasn't that satisfying when Kita wasn't playing in the court often. He wanted to spike a ball that he wouldn't receive every time.

"Minami Sakura, was it?" Atsumu asked.

You left the court and waited for Kiyoomi outside. You didn't want to intervene with their meeting as you weren't part of the team.

Inarizaki had just finished getting ready to leave when Atsumu approached you.

"Yes, Miya-san."

"Nah, call me Atsumu. Everyone calls me and my brother by our first name that it just sounds weird when someone calls me 'Miya'," he explained.

"Atsumu, then. Do you need something?"

"Oh, right, are you and Omi dating?"

"Omi is such a cute nickname, Atsumu," you cooed, "have you two always been close?"

"Now, now, don't dodge the question, Sakura-san," he smiled at your attempt.

He was one bold guy, for sure.

"Well..."

You were unsure. Incredibly unsure.

"You're too close, Atsumu," someone said from behind Atsumu. And it was all too familiar of a voice.

"Kiyoomi."

"Omi!"

"Back away from her or be sprayed, your choice."

He chose choice A.

"How many times have I told you that I don't like that?" He walked towards you and stood beside you.

"Aww, you're just a tsundere! Sakura is going to leave you because of that. Tsunderes aren't your type, is it, Sakura?"

Being put into spotlight, you fumbled with your words.

"See?" Atsumu proudly asked.

"'Tsumu! Hurry or we'll be leaving you!" A teammate of them yelled from afar.

There was familiar voice that replied, "Leave him there! We'll be better off without him anyway!"

"'Samu, you jerk! Bye Omi, take care of Sakura there or I'm going to snatch her! Bye!" He said as he ran away.

"So," you awkwardly started, "aren't you going to go to take a shower?"

"Everyone is more sweaty than usual so I'll be going home, and I'll take a bath there."

"For how many hours?" you joked.

Your anger already faded away when you saw his game. You never really got to see it that close but he was amazing. And your reasons of liking him intensified and pushed the anger down.

"3."

You gasped.

"Just kidding," he said and his lips curved into a genuine smile. His relief was written all over his face.

"Let's go."

"Huh?"

"My mom called and told me that she's home, when she found out I had a practice match, she wanted to take me out to dinner."

"And?" you nervously asked, "what do you mean by 'let's go'?"

"I want you to come with us, of course."
