[ the events in this chapter may be unrealistic or cheesy or unrealistically cheesy but please note that I have never confessed to or been confessed to someone so I really don't how that works out but I have seen and read more than my share of romantic movies and books so I just thought of that (โ€ขฬ€แด—โ€ขฬ)ูˆ happy reading! ]

"Uh," your mouth were slightly opened and you're frozen on your spot as you stared at the blank expression of Sakusa Kiyoomi. "I'm sorry, what?"

"Let's have dinner."

"With you? And like, your mother?"

"Yes."

You went quiet. The faint sounds of crickets and random insects' noises were almost deafening for your as you tried to process what he just said.

You blinked and blinked.

This man never fails to surprise you in the most bizarre ways.

"WHAT!?"

"It's already night, Sakura, lower your voice."

"Y, you can't expect me to be all okay when you drop a bomb on me! I'M PANICKING!"

He never saw this side of you. He saw you multiple times panicking, but he never saw you being vocal about it.

"Relax. You got me to like you, my mom would be a piece of cake."

You cupped your face with both of your hands. Looking down, you said, "We never get to talked about that."

Kiyoomi looked away, blushing.

For a few moments, nobody said anything until a chorus of footsteps was heard. Shoes were squeaking against the neat gym floor accompanied by mumbles.

Sakusa took your hand gently and led you away from the gym's entrance. Thinking that he probably doesn't want to be interrupted again, you let him. He stopped by the school's gate. There is this huge tree there, on the side of the pathway towards the school.

Under it is where you two stood. Awkwardly.

You don't know where you stand in his life now. Before, you were unsure of you two were friends and then after some time, you were sure. When you thought that it was already a stable thing, this confession thing happens. You scrunched your face in confusion. The silence made way for you to think.

"Sakura." Sakusa breathed in and out deeply. He composed himself in the past few moments because he doesn't want to wait anymore.

He doesn't want to leave things as they are because it will probably cause you two to be awkward and worse, avoid each other. He doesn't want that.

Another thing that helped him have courage is what Atsumu said. He knows he's a handful, when he said that he'll steal you away, it isn't really impossible. He can't deny the possibility.

"Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

In some way, it felt very Sakusa-like to you. Just straight to the point.

He was looking straight at you. His black eyes slightly trembling and bright red contrasted with your dark surroundings. You glanced at his hand and it was in a form of fists.

His whole demeanor was cute.

The man who intimidates even adults he talks to, the man who have fangirls even beyond their school, the man who is the only second year that made it into top 3 aces in the country, the man who is incredibly handsome and skilled is nervous for your answer.

All this made you grin wide. You felt special.

"Of course!"

In a flash, his nervous self broke. He sighed and crouched down as he covered his red face with his hands.

"Ha..." he breathed out. He slowly calmed himself down. Thoughts and realizations embedded in his mind.

This was nothing but cute.

You crouched down to his level. You felt bold all of a sudden and you asked, "Doesn't your girlfriend deserves a hug?"

Red coated his entire face when you said that. And without completely raising his face, he made you stand up and slowly wrapped his hands around your body. Still not confident to face you, he buried his face in your neck.

"Kiyoomi! I'm sweaty!"

"I am too, you know."

You chuckled a bit before returning his hug with wrapping your arms around him and slightly tapping his back.

Who knew he'd be like this, all shy and nervous, with you?

"My boyfriend is so cute." Maybe you were too much like a mom to embarrass someone by being so sweet.

He hugged you tighter. "Stop it."

"Hmm, I like you, Kiyoomi."

You blurted it out suddenly.

"I like you so much."

Not seeing his face but having him in your arms gave you strength to say it multiple times.

"Even with your sensitivity to germs, you're hugging me so tight. Even with your general dislike for human interaction, you like me. Even your bluntness and harshness, I like you so much, you know."

He sniffed your neck which tickled you.

"Mine," he whispered.

"That sounds cheesy. What are you, a werewolf?" It was your turn to blush madly. He finally got himself together to stand up and look at you.

"I've been watching too many of those with Komori."

He looked at you smile, and he thought you looked pretty. The prettiest in his eyes.

"Alright, that's settled," he stated.

"Yup," you cleared your throat and reached for something in your bag, "energy bar?"

For some reason, he thought that that was so funny. He burst out laughing at your offer. You don't understand why but you smiled at him laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing," he said, "let's wait for my mom by the school gates."

Your eyes grew wide as you remembered that you were meeting his mom.

"Can't we postpone?"

"We? You haven't even told me if you were really coming."

"I want to!"

"Really?"

"Yes, but," you hesistantly said and fiddle with your fingers, "it's your mom."

"I thought moms like you?"

"They do, but it's your mom!"

"She's like any other mom, but a little more obsessed with organization."

You furrowed your brows at him. "Is this your way of comforting me?"

"Yes."

"It's not working."

He smirked.

"You're making me more nervous on purpose!" You accused him. Your statement was accompanied with the accusing finger pointing.

"Your reactions are funny."

You huffed out, suddenly feeling a new wave of blush because of how he looks at you with that rare smirk of his.

"Hey!"

Someone shouted.

Sakusa turned around and saw Komori running towards them. He didn't notice you because from his point of view, Sakusa was blocking you.

He reached the two of you and when he saw you in front of Sakusa, he suddenly paled. He didn't want to interrupt something and pay for it later.

"I was actuallyโ€”"

"It's fine, Komori."

"Hi, Komori. Did you take a shower?"

Komori was relieved. "Yeah, Kiyoomi here doesn't shower when it's after practice games so I was able to shower earlier because someone wasn't hogging a cubicle."

Knowing it's your boyfriend, you chuckled.

"Why were you running?" His cousin asked him.

"Your mom texted me to make sure you told me that she invited me to eat out. You didn't even tell me!"

"I know she'd tell you."

"You were jealous again earlier," he stated.

"Jealous?" You wondered.

"Shoot," Komori realized that you were there and thought that he have given his cousin's secret away.

"Were you jealous earlier?" You asked your boyfriend.

He looked away.

"You're the jealous type?" You didn't know why, but Sakusa being jealous sounds cute.

But man, if you just knew how he can get jealous so easily like slicing butter.

"Aww," you cooed.

Komori looked at the two of you, confused.

And that's when he noticed that Kiyoomi's hand was loosely settled on your waist. When he stood up straight earlier, distancing a bit from the hug, he didn't let go of you completely.

Komori slapped a hand on his mouth and gasped.

"REALLY?"
