The next morning, Taehyung and Yn found themselves once again seated in the grand living room of Yn’s house. Their parents sat across from them, looking suspiciously pleased with themselves.

Taehyung, who had barely touched his coffee, already sensed trouble. β€œWhy do I feel like something bad is about to happen?” he muttered.

Yn sighed. β€œBecause when our parents look this happy, it usually means we’re about to suffer.”

Their mothers exchanged knowing smiles before Taehyung’s father finally spoke. β€œWe’ve all been talking, and we think it’s time for you two to go on a date.”

Silence.

Taehyung blinked. β€œβ€¦A what?”

Yn nearly choked on her tea. β€œDid you just say… a date?”

Her mother nodded excitedly. β€œYes! You two need to spend some quality time together before the wedding. Get to know each other better.”

Taehyung set his coffee down with a thud and leaned back. β€œI’m busy.”

Yn, who was still recovering from the shock, turned to look at him. β€œThat’s your excuse?”

He shrugged. β€œIt’s not an excuse. I am busy.”

Yn’s father frowned. β€œToo busy to spend a few hours with your fiancΓ©e?”

Taehyung sighed. β€œI have work.”

Yn’s mother waved a dismissive hand. β€œWork can wait. This is important.”

β€œFor who?” Taehyung scoffed.

Yn, who had been silent, suddenly smirked. β€œYeah, for who? Because I don’t remember agreeing to this either.”

Her mother gasped. β€œYn! You should be excited about this! A date with your future husband!”

Yn crossed her arms. β€œI would be more excited if my future husband actually wanted to go.”

Taehyung gave her a look. β€œDon’t drag me into this.”

Yn rolled her eyes. β€œOh, I will drag you into this. If I have to suffer, so do you.”

Taehyung’s father sighed. β€œLook, neither of you is getting out of this. You two need to at least try to get along.”

Yn scoffed. β€œWe do get along.”

Taehyung raised an eyebrow. β€œWe do?”

She turned to him with a forced smile. β€œSure, let’s go with that.”

Yn’s mother clapped her hands together. β€œPerfect! So it’s settled. You two will go on a date tomorrow.”

Taehyung opened his mouth to protest, but his mother gave him the look.

The look that said, If you say no, you’ll regret it.

Yn’s father added, β€œThink of this as a business meeting. You wouldn’t cancel a business meeting, would you?”

Taehyung sighed in defeat. β€œβ€¦Fine.”

Yn groaned. β€œGreat. A forced date. What could possibly go wrong?”

Their parents beamed. This was going to be interesting.

The next day, as Taehyung drove down the road, he already regretted his life choices. More specifically, he regretted agreeing to this date.

Yn sat beside him, grinning like she had just won the lottery. And in a way, she hadβ€”because she had complete control over the car’s music.

As soon as she connected her phone to the Bluetooth, the car was flooded with an ear-splitting, energetic song.

β€œYn, what the hell?” Taehyung groaned, reaching for the volume button.

Yn smacked his hand away. β€œExcuse me, this is my playlist, and I need to set the vibe for our date.”

β€œThis isn’t a date.”

β€œIt is according to our parents, so suck it up.”

Taehyung clenched his jaw as she turned the volume even higher. The entire car vibrated with the bass.

β€œYn, turn it down before I throw your phone out the window.”

She gasped dramatically. β€œYou wouldn’t dare!”

Taehyung gave her a look. β€œTry me.”

Instead of obeying, Yn changed the songβ€”to an even louder and more chaotic one.

Taehyung flinched as the speakers blasted an upbeat pop song. β€œFor the love ofβ€”Yn!”

Yn laughed. β€œWhat? This is a great song. You should thank me for saving us from your depressing car silence.”

Taehyung gritted his teeth. β€œThere’s a difference between enjoying music and making my ears bleed.”

Yn smirked. β€œI’m just making the ride entertaining.”

Taehyung exhaled through his nose. β€œI swear, you were born to be annoying.”

Yn gasped, placing a hand over her chest. β€œHow dare you? I am a delight to be around.”

β€œSays who?”

β€œSays everyone who has ever met me.”

Taehyung gave her a deadpan stare. β€œYour delusion is impressive.”

Yn shrugged. β€œThank you. I work hard on it.”

Taehyung rolled his eyes, gripping the steering wheel tighter as another overly energetic song played.

He hated this. He hated the fact that she was enjoying herself so much while he suffered.

Yn, on the other hand, was having the time of her life. β€œOh! I love this part—” she started singing along, swaying in her seat.

Taehyung groaned. β€œYn, for the last time, turn it down.”

Yn ignored him and kept singing.

β€œYn—”

More singing.

β€œYn, I swear—”

Even louder singing.

Taehyung reached out and snatched her phone.

Yn gasped. β€œHEY!”

β€œYou lost your phone privileges.” He smirked, turning off the music.

Yn pouted. β€œYou’re such a killjoy.”

β€œAnd you’re an ear-splitting disaster.”

She crossed her arms. β€œFine. But just so you know, our car ride is now boring.”

β€œGood.”

Yn leaned back with a huff. β€œYou’ll regret this, Kim Taehyung.”

Taehyung smirked. β€œI highly doubt that.”

But deep down, he knewβ€”Yn never let things go that easily. This war wasn’t over.

Taehyung and Yn strolled through the park, the sun casting golden hues over the peaceful scenery. Birds chirped, children ran around laughing, and couples enjoyed romantic walks. It was supposed to be a normal, quiet afternoonβ€”until it wasn’t.

As they walked, a man suddenly approached them. He was tall, dressed stylishly in a designer suit, with sharp features and a confident smile.

β€œExcuse me,” the man said, looking directly at Taehyung.

Taehyung, who was already irritated by this whole forced date, sighed. β€œYeah? What is it?”

The man took a deep breath and smiled charmingly. β€œI’ve been watching you from afar, and I just have to say… You are stunning.”

Yn immediately perked up, sensing something very interesting about to unfold.

Taehyung blinked, confused. β€œβ€¦What?”

The man stepped closer. β€œYour confidence, your auraβ€”it’s magnetic. I’ve never felt this way about anyone before.”

Yn clutched her stomach, trying so hard not to burst out laughing.

Taehyung, on the other hand, looked horrified. β€œWaitβ€”hold on a second—”

The man suddenly dropped to one knee.

Yn’s jaw dropped. β€œOh. My. God.”

The man reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. β€œI know we just met, but when you see the one, you just know. Kim Taehyung, will you marry me?”

Yn lost it. She doubled over, laughing so hard she could barely breathe.

β€œWHAT THE HELL?!” Taehyung shouted, stepping back like he had just seen a ghost. β€œIβ€”I’m notβ€”No! Whatβ€”?!”

The man looked up, eyes hopeful. β€œPlease, Taehyung. Say yes.”

Yn wiped tears from her eyes. β€œOh my God, this is amazing.”

Taehyung turned to her, panicked. β€œYN, DO SOMETHING!”

Yn grinned. β€œWhat? This is your moment! You should enjoy it.”

β€œYN, I AM NOT GAY!” Taehyung screamed, flailing his arms.

The man’s hopeful expression faltered. β€œOh… You’re not?”

Yn giggled. β€œHonestly, I still think you should consider it. He’s kinda hot.”

Taehyung glared at her. β€œYN, I WILL THROW YOU INTO THAT LAKE.”

The man sighed, standing up. β€œI see… So there’s no chance?”

Taehyung groaned. β€œNO. THERE IS ZERO CHANCE.”

Yn smirked. β€œI mean, you do spend an awful lot of time with Jungkook…”

Taehyung shot her a death glare. β€œYN. I hate you.”

She patted his shoulder. β€œLove you too, babe.”

Finally, Taehyung turned back to the man and pointed at Yn. β€œI’M MARRIED. TO HER.”

The man looked at Yn, then back at Taehyung. β€œβ€¦Oh. I see.”

Yn smiled sweetly. β€œYup! All mine.”

The man sighed dramatically. β€œDamn. The good ones are always taken.”

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Taehyung standing there, still recovering from his near-proposal disaster.

Yn? She was still laughing. β€œOh my God, I’ll never let you live this down.”

Taehyung ran a hand down his face. β€œβ€¦I hate my life.”

But even as he grumbled, he couldn’t ignore the way Yn’s laughter made his chest feel… warm.

The car ride home was anything but peaceful.

Yn sat in the passenger seat, giggling every few seconds while Taehyung gripped the steering wheel like his life depended on it. His jaw was clenched, his ears slightly red, and his mind was replaying the absolute disaster of what had just happened at the park.

Yn, of course, wasn’t letting it go. β€œOh my God, I can’t believe a guy actually proposed to you. That was legendary.”

Taehyung groaned, glaring at the road ahead. β€œYou’ve been saying that for the last twenty minutes. Can you not?”

Yn grinned. β€œOh, I can, but I won’t.”

Taehyung sighed, his grip on the wheel tightening. β€œI swear, I’ve never been this humiliated in my life.”

Yn tilted her head. β€œCome on, Tae. It’s not that bad! It’s a compliment, really. That guy was handsome. Maybe you should reconsider.”

Taehyung shot her a sharp look. β€œI will leave you on the side of the road.”

Yn burst into laughter again, holding her stomach. β€œOh, man. I can’t wait to tell Yuna and Lisa about this.”

Taehyung’s eyes widened. β€œDON’T YOU DARE.”

Yn smirked. β€œOh, I definitely will.”

He groaned again, shaking his head. β€œI hate you.”

Yn wiped away a fake tear. β€œAw, you say the sweetest things.”

The car finally pulled up in front of Yn’s house. She turned to Taehyung with a bright smile, still visibly entertained.

β€œWell, as much fun as it was seeing you get proposed to, I must bid you farewell.”

Taehyung rolled his eyes. β€œFinally.”

Yn leaned closer, resting her elbow on the armrest between them. β€œYou know, Tae, you really should smile more. That guy was rightβ€”your aura is magnetic.”

Taehyung scoffed. β€œOh, shut up.”

Yn giggled, then, before he could react, she leaned over and pressed a quick, soft kiss on his cheek.

Taehyung froze.

What… just happened?

His brain short-circuited. His hands clenched the steering wheel. His entire body stiffened. His ears turned an even deeper shade of red.

Yn pulled back, smiling mischievously. β€œGoodnight, Mr. Magnetic Aura.”

Then, before he could say anything, she stepped out of the car and walked toward her house, humming happily to herself.

Taehyung sat there, completely still. His heart was racing, his cheek tingling from where her lips had touched.

His face felt hot.

He swallowed hard, gripping the wheel tighter. β€œDamn it.”

He put the car in drive and sped offβ€”but no matter how much he tried to ignore it…

He couldn’t stop the small, shy smile creeping onto his lips.

Yn practically skipped into the house, her laughter still bubbling from the hilarious events of the day. As soon as she entered, she spotted Yuna sitting on the couch, scrolling through her phone.

"Oh my God, Yuna, you are not going to believe what happened today!" Yn exclaimed, throwing herself onto the couch dramatically.

Yuna raised a brow, amused. "What, did you trip over your own feet again?"

Yn gasped. "Excuse you! That happened one time! No, this is even better."

Yuna set her phone down and leaned in. "Alright, spill. What happened?"

Yn took a deep breath, trying to hold back another fit of laughter. "Okay, so Taehyung and I were at the park, just walking, when out of nowhere, this super fancy-looking guy walks up to us."

Yuna frowned. "Okay…?"

Yn grinned. "And then he goes, β€˜You’re stunning,’ to Taehyung!"

Yuna's eyes widened. "Wait, whatβ€”?"

Yn nodded, barely holding back her laughter. "And then! He literally proposed to Taehyung. Like, got down on one knee and everything."

Yuna lost it. She burst out laughing, clutching her stomach. "No way! Tell me you're lying!"

Yn wiped away fake tears. "I swear on my favorite hoodie, it actually happened."

Yuna gasped for breath. "Oh my God, how did Taehyung react?"

Yn smirked. "He looked like he saw a ghost. He just kept yelling β€˜I'M NOT GAY!’ at the poor guy. I was having the time of my life watching him panic."

Yuna was in stitches. "I need to see his face! Please tell me you took a video."

Yn pouted. "Ugh, I wish! I was too busy laughing."

Yuna wiped a tear from her eye. "Man, I can't believe I missed this. Taehyung must be traumatized."

Yn giggled. "Oh, he is. And the best part? Before I got out of the car, I kissed his cheek."

Yuna’s jaw dropped. "YOU WHAT?!"

Yn grinned mischievously. "Yup! Just a little kiss, and he froze like a statue. I think I saw his soul leave his body."

Yuna shrieked in excitement. "OH MY GOD, YN! This is huge!"

Yn rolled her eyes playfully. "It was just a kiss on the cheek, Yuna. Don't make a big deal out of it."

Yuna smirked. "Oh, please. For a guy like Taehyung, that's basically romantic drama material."

Yn blushed slightly, but quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, enough about me. What's up with you?"

Yuna hesitated for a moment before taking a deep breath. "Well… I have something to tell you."

Yn blinked. "What is it?"

Yuna bit her lip before smiling nervously. "My engagement is tomorrow."

Yn's eyes widened. "Wait… WHAT?!”

And just like that, the night took a whole new turn.
