((I had this one sitting in my Google Docs for a bit just because I couldn't come up with a good title for it. But I was imagining this one for a bit and thought it was adorable.

Summary: I see Marv at the supermarket while shopping with my Mom

Words: 1.2k words

After Mom had picked me up from school that afternoon she decided she wanted to do a little shopping. I didn't really mind because I hadn't ate anything at lunch today because everything looked like absolute shit. Plus I wanted to get some snacks for when Marv came over tonight. Most preferably his most favorite snack; Twizlers. Mom was making me push the cart while she went through the ailes and buying something to cook for dinner. I was bored out of my mind while walking through the aisles. But I heard familiar voices when walking past one of the aisles. "Please, just one pack!" Marv begged, "I got you Twizlers last time." Harry responded. I peeked into the aisle and saw Marv and Harry standing in the candy section. I quickly followed Mom to the next aisle to make an excuse to go see Marv without Mom getting suspicious. "Hey Mom, I'm gonna go grab something in the next aisle." I leaned over the handles of the shopping cart as I spoke. Mom obviously seemed more focused on the shopping list in her hands. She just nodded and mumbled a yes. I smiled and quickly exited the current aisle I was in. The fact that I could still hear Marv in the other aisle made me even more happy. I wondered if I should just walk up to him or surprise him, so I just went with surprising him. I snuck into the aisle and tiptoed behind Marv who was more focused on annoying the crap out of Harry. A devious smile appeared on my face the closer I got to Marv. "Hiya babe!" I hugged him from behind, "Aww, jeez! Baby you scared the hell out of me." Marv laughed while he turned around to face me. "Not so loud, my Mom is in the other aisle." I giggled lightly at the sight of his goofy adorable face. "Oops, my bad." He laughed. "Well, are you gonna get any Twizlers?" I backed up to look at his tall frame, "Harry won't let me." Marv sighed and stared back at Harry who was very impatiently waiting for Marv to finish talking to me. "I was asking because I'm gonna get some for you when you come over tonight." I smiled at the happy expression on his face, "Thank you so much!" He hugged me tightly again. "Of course." I hugged back.

"Now I better come back before my Mom gets suspicious." I grabbed the pack of Twizlers off of the shelf beside me, "Okay, can't wait. I love you." He lightly kissed my forehead, ignoring the fact that we were in a public place. "I love you too." I smiled and ran off back to where Mom was waiting. "Took you long enough." She said as I placed the candy in the shopping cart, "Sorry, I was trying to figure out what candy I wanted." I shrugged. She seemed to believe my lie and continued to shop. Later as we were at the checkout, I once again heard Harry and Marv's voice behind me. What made everything so awkward is that I'm literally standing next to my boyfriend and Mom doesn't even realize it. It's hard to pretend that I don't know him since Marv looks so good that I can't physically take my eyes off of him. And I obviously don't want Mom getting suspicious as to why I was staring at a complete stranger. My eyes slowly scanned over to Marv who was most definitely staring directly at me. Mom was too busy loading all the groceries to even notice. A slight smile broke out onto my face while I tried my hardest not to burst out laughing. Pretty soon I couldn't contain my laughter anymore. I burst out laughing while Marv did the same. "The hell is so funny?" I heard Harry ask while me and Marv were both struggling to breath from how much we were laughing. "No, I'm sorry-" I said in between laughter, "Crap." I wiped tears from my eyes. The moment was ruined when I noticed that Mom was staring at me after the whole laughing fit. I knew I shouldn't have stared at him for so long.

I covered my mouth to prevent myself from laughing even more. "You idiot!" I heard Harry shout, soon followed by the sound of something hitting Marv. "Oww, I'm sorry-" I heard Marv say. Now it was even harder to contain my laughter. I was too busy watching Harry hit Marv across the head with a magazine to even notice that Mom was already finished loading everything into the cart. At this point I had almost completely forgotten Mom was even there. "Modesta, come on." She grabbed my arm and pulled me aside, "Huh?" I looked towards her with a goofy smile still on my face from what happened a moment ago. "We're leaving now." She said while pushing the cart, "Oh, yeah, right-" I followed behind her before taking one last glance at Marv, who was still staring at me. I loved how whenever he sees me, he always acts like we're meeting for the first time, like he's in love. That was one of the many reasons why I loved him so damn much. I waved bye to Marv before I walked out the automatic doors. But right as I was about to climb into the passenger seat of the station wagon, I realized that I wanted to at least give Marv a hug. And what better way to do that than to lie to Mom about needing to use the bathroom. I opened the door and poked my head in, "Hey Mom, I gotta use the bathroom real quick. It's an emergency." I said, "Fine, but make it quick." She buckled up. I nodded and pretended to walk towards the entrance doors, but instead walked into a different lane where I saw Marv and Harry walking towards their van.

I smiled and quickly ran up to Marv. "Babe!" I hugged him before he even turned around, "Hello again darling." He immediately hugged me back. "Thanks for making my Mom suspicious." I said sarcastically, "You were the one looking at me." He laughed. "Besides, my excuse is that you looked too good to not look at you." I responded while watching a coat of blush form on his face. "Okay, fine." Marv smiled and leaned down to kiss my forehead, "See ya tonight, got it beautiful?" Marv said as I nodded at his response. "Bye handsome, I love you." I smiled up at him, "I love you too, gorgeous." I kissed the tip of his nose before running back over to Mom's car. I was somewhat worried that she was gonna ask about the whole incident at the checkout earlier, but she actually didn't. I was surprised but at the same time glad she didn't.
