((I got one full day and one more half day until Christmas break. Also, I'm watching Home Alone in one of my classes tomorrow. I'm seriously hoping Marv is gonna come on screen before that class ends.
Summary: I meet Marv for the first time when he breaks into my room
Words: 1.8k words
I was downstairs in the kitchen arguing with my parents. A couple days ago I had caught a cold, and they were trying to get me to eat something. The only reason I was refusing was because it hurt the roof of my mouth to eat just about anything, plus I don't have much of an appetite. "If you don't eat, the least you can do is take some medicine." Dad said to me, but I just backed away from the liquid that he shoved in my face. "No, it tastes disgusting." I pushed the measuring cup away from my face. "If you don't try and get better, you're going to get everyone else sick. And I'm not dealing with 16 sick kids." Mom called from the kitchen sink. I groaned in annoyance. I just left the kitchen and went back upstairs to my room, which was the attic because there wasn't enough room in this house to have an actual bedroom. But at least I didn't have to share my room with anyone, that was the bright side. Except when I opened my bedroom door and walked up the stairs, there was someone who wasn't any of my siblings digging through my dresser. "Excuse me?" I cleared my throat, causing this tall stranger to look in my direction. "Oh, uhm-" He glanced towards my open bedroom window. After staring at him for a moment, I realized how handsome this stranger actually was. The way his blue eyes sparkled underneath my bedroom lights. "Who are you?" I coughed, "I'm, uh-" He stopped and looked down at the garbage bag he had. Which I was assuming had most of my stuff in it. The only reason I wasn't even trying to stop him was because I knew I didn't have a chance against him, especially someone as tall as him. "Marv, get down here!" I heard a voice coming from the backyard. "Uhm, see you later." Marv said to me before throwing the garbage bag over his shoulder and climbing out the window. "Wait-" I said at the last second. I ran to my window and saw him and some other guy running off somewhere into the darkness.
I continued to stare out into the dark empty backyard until I heard my bedroom door being opened. "Modesta?" Dad called out, "Huh?" I closed the window and turned around. "Why were you looking out the window?" He approached me, "Thought I heard something outside. Might just be the wind blowing a tree branch." I smiled in his direction. "Okay then, well, feel free to miss school tomorrow if you'd like." He said, I just nodded.

After hearing Harry call my name from outside, I knew I had to leave before he would get even more mad at me. But then again, there was a beautiful girl staring at me. "Uhm, I-'' My face started heating up before I glanced out the open window. I just ran towards the window and slid down the roof and onto the snow below. Harry immediately helped me up and we both ran out towards our van that was parked in the driveway of the house next door. I climbed into the passenger seat while Harry climbed into the driver's seat. "So, what'd you get?" Harry smiled at me, but I just awkwardly looked down at the bag in my lap. "I'd rather not say." I bit my lip, "Why not? Lemme see." Harry tried reaching for the bag, but my immediate response was to pull the bag farther away from him. "I stole it, so it's mine." I hugged the bag against my chest while staring at him. He frowned, "Did you at least steal any money?" He crossed his arms, "No, I couldn't find any." I shrugged before slowly peeking into the bag. Harry leaned over and tried peeking into the bag, but I immediately closed it. "Why are you acting so weird?" He asked me. I sat in thought for a moment while I started to remember seeing her standing at the foot of the stairs, staring at me with those beautiful brown eyes... Wait, did I just call her eyes beautiful? I mean, her hair did really make her face look kinda adorable. I mentally hit myself for even thinking about something like that, besides, why would someone like her from a large family with all this expensive stuff even like me? "Marv, hello?" Harry bumped my shoulder. "Huh?" I quickly looked towards him, "You sure you're okay? You've been acting really weird." Harry said. "Uh-huh." I nodded and awkwardly smiled at him before occasionally glancing back at the bag laying in my lap.

My eyes scanned around the neighborhood until they landed on a blue van parked in the driveway of some house. I stopped when I noticed the side door being opened, then was followed by two people who emerged carrying large bags. But I immediately recognized the taller man, and I knew it was the guy I saw robbing my room the other day. He stopped once he noticed me standing across the street, moments away from throwing the bag inside the back of the van. There was a snorkel resting on his forehead as he stared at me without saying or doing anything. I found myself also staring back at him as well, my eyes sparkling with love. Another person showed up behind Marv also carrying a bag, pushing Marv aside to throw something into the van. "Marv, what the hell are you looking at?" He asked. His voice sounded exactly like the one I heard outside the other day. Marv kept staring at me until the bag in his hand slipped from his grasp, landing on the other guy's foot. "Aghh! Damnit Marv!" He pushed him, causing Marv to look towards him shocked. "Huh- What?" He looked around confused, "You just dropped your damn bag on my foot!" He shouted at Marv. I burst out laughing at the whole situation. Both of them looked towards me as soon as I started laughing. "Hey, the hell are you laughing at, kid!?" The shorter one yelled at me. I giggled even more and continued walking home. The scenario kept replaying in my head over and over again for the rest of the day, making me smile and laugh every single time. Then I started to wonder if there was going to be any other time that I would be able to see Marv again. All that changed when I managed to see him again while walking home from school, except he actually talked to me instead of staring at me from across the street.
I was freaked out when I felt a pair of hands on my shoulder. "Hey, calm down. It's me, the one you saw in your room a couple days ago." He laughed as he started walking beside me, "Oh right." I smiled remembering our last encounter yesterday. "I was gonna uh, apologize for taking your stuff-" He scratched the back of his neck nervously. "It's pretty noticeable if you stole everything in my underwear drawer." I answered. Marv looked in the other direction, blush coating his cheeks. "You didn't have to say it out loud." He mumbled, "My bad." I giggled lightly. "Do you want them back?" Marv asked me, "Nah, my Mom already bought me some more." I responded while stuffing my walkman into my bag. I could've sworn that I heard Marv sigh in relief right after I said that, but I decided not to say anything about it. Soon we walked together in a comfortable silence. I stopped at my house and turned towards Marv, "Thanks for walking me home." I looked up at him, "Crap, we already reached your house." I heard sadness in the tone of his voice. "Why do you sound so sad?" I titled my head to the side, "Because I like being around you." He responded. My face heated up at his words, and butterflies immediately started swarming around in my stomach. I couldn't remember the last time somebody has ever told me that they liked having me around. "Awwww, I love your presence as well." I smiled, then a brilliant idea came to my mind. "I got an idea." I stopped, "Yeah?" He asked, "How about you sneak in through my bedroom window and we can hangout then?" I asked. Once I said that, Marv's entire face lit up with pure joy. "I would love that." He answered. "Good, wait till you see me at my window until you climb inside." I walked towards the front door while Marv walked on the driveway and into the backyard. A smile was plastered across my face as I stepped inside my room, thoughts of Marv filling my head. I threw my bag on the floor and locked my bedroom door behind me, then stood in front of the window where I saw Marv standing below. He started climbing up the house while I opened my window. Marv climbed inside and immediately tumbled to the floor, "You okay?" I laughed as I closed my window. "Yeah." He also laughed as he stood up and brushed himself off.
He awkwardly sat down on my bed, tapping his fingers against his leg. I sat down beside him and stared up at his beautiful face. "Marv." I spoke up, he looked down, seeming surprised at how close my face was to his. "Mhm?" He hummed, "Is there a reason why you wanted to see me after robbing my house?" I smiled at him watching as a coat of blush covered his cheeks. "It's not everyday that me and my friend Harry rob a house and I see someone as beautiful as you." He looked away as he spoke, fidgeting nervously with his hands. "And it's not everyday that the love of my life breaks into my house." I leaned up and placed a small kiss on his cheek. "You like me? Me of all people?" Marv asked, "Yeah, why are you so surprised?" I giggled lightly at his reaction. "Look at me and look at you, you're way out of my league. This has to be some kind of joke." Marv answered, "It's not, Marv. I'm genuinely in love with you." I grabbed his hand off of my lap and held it in mine. "Look at me, does it look like I'm joking?" I asked as he looked down at me with his piercing blue eyes. A smile spread out across his face, "Maybe I'm just overreacting." Marv mumbled. "Stop telling yourself that you don't deserve any love. I love you." I leaned up and kissed him again. His body tensed up at the sudden physical contact, but instantly relaxed once I laid my arms on his shoulders. "I love you too." He pressed his forehead against mine. I smiled and closed my eyes, enjoying the blissful moment.
