What is the best ship in Tower of God and why is it KhunBam?
THIRD PERSON POV
".....Huh?"
Zin was only able to reply with an interjection. She was speechless and her expression remain unreadable. However, it is noticeable by her body language that she is disturbed, uncomfortable by the words that left her brother's lips, or it could also be because of the fact that she is chained up currently still.
A sigh was the only thing that came after Zen as he took in the reaction of his sister. "I know it's hard to take."
"Wait, I don't understand." Zin frowned and then sat up, with the sounds of pain leaving her lips. Zen took his chance to help her up and set her in a sitting position just right in front of him.
She then resumed. "To be honest, until today I still have no idea why am I even the one who was given the title of the 'chosen one'. There's nothing really different or special about me compared to you, or the others," Zin implied their other siblings.
"Can I say that I'm surprised that you're taking this so lightly?" the older Klavis couldn't help but feel frightened out at his younger sibling's reaction. He expected for her to act more....terrified, well not too over the top but he expected for her to make him elaborate more on what he meant. But here she is going on to another topic.
Zin's eyebrows met as her face scrunched. "I am shocked." She then exhaled. "It's just, unclear to me...." She trailed off not able to word out her thoughts and shook her head.
"Why am I acting like this is because I'm not even sure why I'm called the chosen one. I don't have any unique abilities, nor am I an Irregular. I'm just a fallen noble who ran away from her family and is now climbing the Tower trying to reach the top..."
"Are you sure that you haven't experience any questioning things?" Zen interrogated.
Deeply thinking, Zin responded reluctantly. "Well, not reallyโ" Just then, the previous occurrence that just happened moments ago came flooding into her mind.
Eyes wide, the female shot up and looked with a face painted with the asking of validity. "Actually...earlier before you came, I had a 'vision'." She mentioned.
"'Vision'?"
"Yes," Nodding her head, slightly dazed out as she continued to deeply think about the previous events. "When we were running away from Team Mad Dog, it's like I activated something or triggered then suddenly...there."
"Please kindly elaborate more." Zen sighed as he ran his hand through his hair.
"It's hard to explain, it was like I was watching a movie." An idea then popped up in my head. "Now that I think of it, the things that happened in that 'vision' of mine is what exactly happened when we encountered. It's like...like..."
"You saw the future."
O__O <------- Zin
"Say what now?" Flabbergasted, Zin shot up and looked at her elder brother in disbelief. "I saw the future? What hell am I then? A God!?" she mocked herself her entire presence emitting incredulity of what Zen had stated.
With a deadpanned face, Zen gazed to Zin unamused by her antics. "I'm serious." This only made Zin feel more insane.
'But, it does make sense. In my 'vision' there was a battle, and we battled. I got unconscious and taken, which Zen did. I was also in disbelief, which is undeniably accurate since I still am.'
Continuing to doubt, the sky blue-eyed girl only shut her eyes close and shook her head sideways, in denial. "But that seems unreal!" Opening her eyes, she gazed up to Zen, face tainted in agony as a drop of sweat slowly dripped down from the side of her forehead. "How could that be?โ"
"That was the so-called prophecy, Zin." Zen cut her off and she immediately silenced. "Although, you wouldn't really understand since father didn't really emphasize about the chosen one and the whole prophecy shenanigan."
"Shenanigan? What a way to word it."
"It's not a lie though."
Breathing out, Zen continued on fulfilling every questions. "The prophecy that was made for you was a solution to the prophecy that Arlen Grace has made, not to help."
"I have no idea if you know, but I'll tell regardless. Arlen Grace made this somewhat deal with the 'God from the Outside' to revive his dead son that was killed by Jahad himself. That's when the prophecy was made, where the son of Arlen is the one destined to slay the King and the corruption in the Tower."
"And the son of Arlen, is none other than the 25th Bam."
'I kind of already knew that...' Zin deadpanned to herself in her mind.
"I don't know how the higher ups managed to acquire this information, but they did. That's when your birth comes in." The man continued with his long story. "As you know, our family is abandoned. We are an exiled clan and is barely surviving, because of what Jahad did to our family. From what I've heard from one of the Elders when I snuck in, Father had made an agreement with King Jahad."
Now Zin who was completely focused onto the information, she scrunched her nose and furrowed her eyebrows and asked. "What agreement?"
"The agreement that Jahad will marry of our Father's most strongest, capable, and beautiful daughter. The one who was born with a special ability. The so called chosen one."
"..........................."
O_________O <------- Zin
"WAIT!" Zin who is in shock jumped up in her position, completely forgetting the pain inflicted by the crystal chains around her. "So you're telling me....that Father set me up with Jahad!?"
"Father set me up with an old fart?!?!!"
"THAT'S YOUR CONCERN???" Wondering on what in the world happened to her sister for these past years, Zen just dropped his jaw onto the floor because of how Zin was seemingly taking this as if it's a joke.
"W-Wait sorry....but justโfuck!" Zin cursed before then slumping down and covering her face, placing it onto her lap. "I'm trying to get all of these in my head okay? Father was kind to me despite being strict, everybody supported me, even if all of those were fake."
"So does that mean that, nobody in the family really cared about me even in the slightest? Everybody knew this? I was born to just simply be offered to a man for the sake of the family? Does no one really love me?"
"Even mother?"
Silence engulfed the two as they both didn't know what to answer to the question, even Zin herself. Zin was trying to be a goofball to cope with everything she is hearing, but as soon as she deeps it into her head her heart slowly cracked at the thought that not only a minority were being fake to her in her family.
Rather everyone was.
Zen then quietly replied, mumbling. "I'm afraid so." He held his head down but his eyes remained locked onto her brokenhearted sister whose eyes were covered by her bangs.
'I mean, our mothers most likely know this since they are the wives of Father...' Zen speculated in his head, however there could be a possibility that these wives must've been blackmailed according to his theory.
Clearing his throat, the ruby eyed man clasped his hands together and likely squeezed them as he tried to keep professional. "Regarding on how you have that 'Vision'...I'm still not quite sure on how you have that ability. All I know is that you have the ability to see fate and that....your existence in the Tower could be either a blessing or a threat."
'At least that's what Hwaryun told me....' Zen clarified himself with a deadpanned expression.
Zin felt her entire body go numb at the information. She couldn't even think of anything to make herself laugh as a coping mechanism to cope from the situation she's in. She couldn't even comprehend the things that Zen was telling her. Can see the future? Existence is either a threat or a blessing? What does all of these mean? Why does it have to be her to be given a big burden on her shoulder?
Not only that, thinking about how the higher ups hid the truth from her, their real intention in creating her. All of those training and hardwork, were just so she could be 'worthy' to be given to a corrupted mad king?
Whys filled her head. Why did they do this to her? They were really willing to offer her? Not only that, the person she trusted the most, her mother, knew about this.
'Can I really trust anyone anymore?'
"What is the purpose of me being offered to Jahad then? Why must be someone from our family to marry him?"
Zen gulped at the blank tone of his sister. Regardless he still answered. "To strengthen the bond of our family with Jahad most likely," he began. "To put it simply, you're like a Jahad Princess but unknown. Jahad Princess were created to compete with each other and the strongest will marry King Jahad, they're created by injecting Jahad's blood in the, yes?"
"Which makes things even more complicated. If Jahad was planning to....marry you in the first place, then why have the Jahad Princess competition bullshit am I right?" This statement caused for Zin to raise her head and stare at her brother, a look of bewilderment plastered on her face.
"You're right." She replied.
Nodding, the man continued. "Therefore I came up with a theory that Jahad must be lying. Either to the people about the Jahad Princesses, or to our Father about their agreement."
"I've concluded that he doesn't have any intention marrying any woman, rather just toโ"
Zen's words were out into a halt as a long bang erupted. A whole in the cave they were in was created and rocks blasted and went flying. Zen and Zin covered themselves with their arms and Zen covered Zin with his cloak as an act of protection.
Fog and dust soon evaded the space and Zin coughed lightly because of how dusty it became. Zen trying to clear up the air so he could see what the heck is going on by waving his hands since Zin was incapable of doing so.
Sounds of footsteps reached their ears and both immediately put their guards up. Zin sat up and Zen stood up and took out his claymore and went into a fighting stance waiting for the enemy to attack.
But instead of an attack, they were welcomed with a whine.
"So freaking dusty!!" A familiar voice complained childishly.
A click of a tongue by a different person was then heard. "Tsk. Sshh!! Keep your voice down! And besides it's your fault why it's so dusty, you're the one who wanted to make a hole into the cave when we could've just taken the actual entrance!" The voice was also familiar as it whispered yell.
"Of course we have to make a hole!! It's for my grand entrance you freaking dummy! Who wants to be a simple bitch and walk up into a cave's entrance when you can blast in?"
"This is why I didn't want you to come along. And also no swearing, you just learned that word today and you're already using it."
-______-???? <------- Zin & Zen
'What in the world...?' Both Zin and Zen thought in their head as they heard the complaints of the people that had just suddenly barged in.
Sooner or later the fog completely cleared up. They were now able to see the persons that caused this ruckus as they were discussing. The two lifted their head and as their minds processed who the persons wereโ
They were in shock once again.
'Zon?! And Zan??! How is Big Bro Zan here???'
"Oh?" The said simpleton Zon noticed the two who had a look of bewilderment and he immediately felt excitement rushing in him. "Ahhh!! Big Sis Zin we finally found you, we were looking everywhere for you!! Fear not my dear sister for you are safe now. How? Because Zon the great has finally arrived to save the damsel in distressโWAIT IS THAT ZEN?!?"
"Yo." Zen raised a hand and greeted with his monotone voice.
*GAAAAAAAAASSSPPP~*
OoO <------- Zon
Just then, the simpleton yellow eyed Klavis jumped and clung onto the green eyed Klavis. "B-Big Bro Zan! Help a ghost!! There's no way that's Zen, he's supposed to be in the Tower!!"
"Zon....we are in the Tower..."
O___o <------- Zon
"........I thought we were in the Workshop Battle?"
A groan escaped Zan's lips as he aggressively throws Zon down onto the ground who released a yelp of surprise followed by a yell of pain as his body hit the rock hard ground.
As fast as how Zon was shut up, the atmosphere around the four siblings immediately tur ned heavy. Thankfully because of Zon's personality and outburst their meeting wasn't as awkward as what it would expectedly it would be. I mean, years of not meeting each other, and then all of a sudden, four children of Zynkedon Klavis met at the Workshop Battle? What a coincidence.
Is the world really that small?
Gulping, Zen tried to look away from the deathly gaze that Zan was giving me. Zin who noticed this was puzzled on why they were acting like this, although it's not really something unusual for Zan to do because after not seeing Zen for years it's only natural for him to be shocked and staying quiet is probably his way of showing that.
But what's suspicious is Zen who looked like he was trying to avoid Zan specifically. He greeted Zon, but tried to avoid Zan's look on him.
'I smell conflict.' The only female present puffed her left cheek as she eyed the two repeatedly with her questioning gaze.
"We'll be taking Zin." The eldest suddenly said with a powerful voice full of authority.
Zen who slightly jumped in surprise gave Zan a side glance as his face remained downward. "A-Alright," he stuttered. "I'll leave it up to you then...."
Zin wondered on what he meant by that sentence, but then was soon put in the back of her mind as Zen faced her with an apologetic expression before kneeling down and began breaking his chains that he created with his crystals. "I'll get going now Zin," he blurted out.
Confused, the female furrowed her brows. "Why?"
A sigh was an answer that she got. Studying him, Zen looked anxious and conflicted on what to reply. "Honestly, I was expecting that Zan would beat the hell out of me once he sees me again....I guess I'm kinda lucky." That seemed to be more of him talking to himself rather answering his sister.
The female remained silent. She suspected that it may be because he is currently with FUG, as he did team up with Hwaryun so its most likely that he is. Zan would probably not like that fact.
"We don't have all day." Zan suddenly interrupted.
Silence again engulfed them. Zen then successfully freed Zin who caressed her wrists and ankles as she slowly stood up from the ground before being leaded by her brother to meet their other two other siblings.
Zin was immediately welcomed by Zon's big embrace. His arms wrapped around her as he fake sobbed on her shoulder. "Huhuhu!! Big Sis Zin I thought I'd never see you again~!!" He buried his head onto her shoulder.
ToT <------- Zon
Slightly smirking, Zin only patted Zon's head as an attempt to comfort him, technically it's supposed to be Zin who should be comforted because of all the events that just happened to her.
Her eyes then shifted to her remaining brothers who continued to stare at each other. It was as if they were communicating with each other through their eyes and Zin couldn't comprehend any of it.
A few moments then before Zan spoke. "Let's go." He turned his back and his words directed towards Zin and Zon.
"Eh? But what about Zen?" the youngest of them raised a question as he looked over to the second oldest. "Aren't you going with us too? Your presence is unexpected, but we're still siblings so,"
Zen broke into a small smile before replying. "Unfortunately I can't go."
"Eehh??? Why?"
"I....still have some things to attend to..."
'He's going back to FUG. But why? What would he achieve being there, it's too risky...' The female deeply convicted.
Quietness once again wrapped them as they didn't know what to say next. So as a solution of the awkwardness, Zon stepped in and also gave a hug to Zon who was caught off guard by the sudden physical contact. As an introvert, he doesn't really know how to respond.
Zon whispered something in his ears that couldn't be heard before saying. "Let's meet again someday."
His words oddly sounded suspicious in Zin's ears. 'What is he planning now?' she deadpanned.
Zin and Zen shared another glance with each other before the girl then pulled Zon and began walking to Zan's side. Their heads downward, gloomy aura surrounding them.
Just then, a surprising statement came out of the oldest. "Take care, Zen."
Looking back, the huddled up three looked back at the alone sibling of theirs who now grinned at them as he lifted his head and covered his face with his mask. "Likewise." In a flash he disappeared as he created a platform out of crystal and flew out through the hole that was created by the impact earlier.
....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
"You knoowwww....if you two could've just stop your little quarrel the four of us are probably together." Zon sassily fired at Zan who only shot him a glare. "How many times do I have to tell you to learn how to not put yourself in other people's businesses?"
Zon only responded childishly by sticking out his tongue. Sighing, the eldest just shook his head.
โโโ
Sooner or later the three then ran off to safety with Zan being in the lead. Zin just trusted her older brother and followed him with Zon who was also running just beside her.
Zan warned. "Let's hurry up
