SAEMI'S POV
I opened the cupboard and noticed that we're about to run out of supply of food for the week. So I decided to go buy some of our needs since I also have to buy another bottle of shampoo.
I was about to walk to the door when I heard Baekhyun's voice from the stairs.
"Where are you going?" I completely forgot that he doesn't have any schedule for today. I turned to him and replied,
"I'm gonna buy us some food. We don't have much in store."
"I'm coming with you." He ran upstairs before I could even stop him.
"Byun?" I loudly called for him to hear me from upstairs, turning my head to the direction of the stairs.
"Yeah?"
"Have you forgotten that you're actually an idol?"
He came down wearing a plain shirt and blue jeans before shaking his head no.
"Nope."
I reluctantly nodded and awkwardly chuckled.
"I just wanted to make sure." I uttered and we both went out with him opening the door for me.
And so we went to the market. He was wearing a mask, which is good so that no one would notice an idol walking around with a girl they don't know. I may not know all of the idols in the KPOP industry, but I know to the extent that they get bashed a lot.
"Dude, it's 30% off." My mouth agape once we entered the supermarket. I need this the most. Sales are really my style.
"Dude? Is that the proper way you should address your husband?" I ignored what he said and went ahead to the goods at display that are considered in sale.
"For your information, we're not even married."
"Yah!"
I focused my attention on getting the things we need in the house that's all considered in their sale.
"Byun, get milk and eggs." He was leaning his frame on the cart but stood up and saluted to me when he heard what I said. I shook my head while grinning.
Just when he was out of my sight, my heart began racing so fast I almost ran out of breath. I clutched my chest and tried to calm myself and soon it went back to normal.
I can't possibly have an attack right now. We're out in the public and Baekhyun's with me. He can't see me in this kind of situation.
I fastened my pace and took everything we need before Baekhyun came running towards me with other products in his hands. I have to get home as soon as possible. I might have another attack worse than this.
"What about your shampoo, chippy? You said you ran outโ"
"It can wait. Let's go home, Byun." I pushed the cart towards the cashier and Baekhyun followed, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Is everything alright, Saemi? Why are we rushing?" He asks as he helps me to push the cart as well by holding the end of it.
"Nothing. I'm just tired." I replied shortly and good thing, there weren't many people lining up for the cashier.
I was about to bring out my wallet when Baekhyun purposely walked in front of me to face the cashier and swiped his card. I looked at him with an unbelievable look.
"Let me pay, chippy." Before I could even utter a word, he spoke without even giving me a glance, his eyes focused on the cashier and the monitor.
I sighed.
When we got home, Baekhyun put everything we bought to the kitchen and I, on the other hand, ran to my room to get my medicine.
Dr. Kang's words rang in my head nonstop as I look at the medicines in my hand.
Should I even consider getting another surgery?
"Chippy!"
My thoughts snapped when I heard Baekhyun's voice from downstairs.
"What?" I half-shouted as well for him hear me. I quickly took my medicine and gulped water after.
"Where should I put the cereals?" He asked as soon as I got into the kitchen. I went to the sink to wash my hands and mindlessly dried them to the sides of my pants.
I took the cereal he was holding and opened the cupboard to get the glass container and put the cereal grains inside. Baekhyun arranged the others.
"For a person who does nothing, you organize a lot." He abruptly said causing me to chuckle.
"I could take that as a compliment."
***
Today's the graduation of my adorable brother. While Baekhyun is out to go to their practice, I went to Min Hyung's school to attend the ceremony.
He was sitting in front with the other graduates when I texted him.
Minhyungie
Noona's here
At the backside of the theater
I saw him look down and I assume he has already read my text when he looked at the back and squinted his eyes to search for me. I wave at him and he instantly saw me and waved back.
When they called his name, I went in front as well to give him his certificate and medal with the flowers I brought with me.
"I'm proud of you, Min Hyungie~" I cooed and pinched his cheeks before facing front for them to take a picture of us. I heard they will also have another picture-taking for the student individually.
After the ceremony, he rushed to the other side for another pictorial for the students. I went to the photographer's side to watch them. It wasn't his turn yet so he stood beside me.
"Lee Min Hyung!"
"Have you seen Juda noona? She said sheโ"
"What?" I cut him off and he looked at me with a confused look, questioning himself if he even said something wrong. He was about to ask me when they called for him again and I was left dumbfounded at the information he left me.
Juda is here?
"I didn't expect to see you sooner than expected, Lee Saemi."
My head turned to my left side and I saw a familiar figure with her arms crossed, eyes focused on my brother who's smiling in front of the camera.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I muttered, in outrage of her presence.
"Your brother asked me to come by. And it's rude to declineโ"
"Oh please, enough with the excuses." I know. I'm good at cutting off people's sentences.
"Same old Saemi."
"Shut up."
"Where did you get my number?" Upon remembering it, Min Hyung texted me before that he got my number from her. As far as I can remember, I closed all my informations from them.
"You must've forgotten that Jaehyun's a great investigator slash stalker."
"Quit the bullsht, Juda. I know you mean all the shts aimed at me." I gave her a quick piercing look before watching Min Hyung walk with his classmates to have a class photo.
"Quit turning your back on me. I told you. I ended everything between me and Dongyoon." She looked at me with those familiar begging eyes that trapped me before. Not gonna happen again, Juda.
"I don't care."
"Course you do."
Before we coud even get into a heated conversation, Min Hyung came running to us wearing the biggest smile he has. If this wasn't my brother's special day, I would have slit this woman's throat as soon as I saw her.
"You came!" He gave this woman beside me a quick hug.
"Of course." I scoffed at her smile, itching to grab her by the hair and just drag her out of this place.
"Are you okay, noona?" Min Hyung turned to look at me and I decided to just pull of a fake smile before replying,
"I'm fine. Come on, let's go eat jjajangmyeon to celebrate." I pulled him to my side and slung my arm on his shoulder as we walk towards the exit. And as unbelievable as it is, Juda came trailing behind.
Why does she even have to show her face to me? Argh.
