THE HEAVY METAL DOOR slowly opened, Finney tightened his hold on the phone, ready to hit the man that was about to come in, the man that he hated. But instead of the door revealing a man the two teens have seen a lot the past few days that always wore a mask to hide his face, the door revealed an unkown man none of the two teens had ever seen before. As soon as the teens' gazes caught the man's features and his eyes, Finney loosened his hold on the phone and his features became relaxed, and Avery's shoulders slumped down, visibly relaxing, but she arched a brow in confusion. They had no idea who that man was, they had never seen him in their entire life, but it wasn't the Grabber, and maybe it was someone that had finally found them and maybe he was going to rescue the two teens.
"No fucking way." The man spoke, his tone filled with shock.
"I knew that he was hiding something down here but Holy Mary Mother of God."
"Please help us." Avery spoke in a low voice.
"Please. Can you call our parents? Call my sister!" Finney said as he walked towards the man, desperate to get free.
"Don't worry, he's not here, he had to go into work. I-I'm Max, stay calm. No wonder why he was freaking out this moring." Max ranted in disbilief.
"Hey! Do you wanna know the story on how I found you guys?" Max exclaimed. Avery and Finney shook their heads trying to get the man's attention and getting him to help them and stop talking.
"No, no, no, no." Finney begged the man not to get distracted and focus on the big thing happening, which was the two teens getting rescued.
"No, please!" The girl in the room pleaded with tears in her eyes, she just wanted to get out.
"Hey, don't worry about it, we can talk-" But before Max could continue his sentence, the door was open wide and an axe was slammed onto his head, and behind him holding the axe was his own brother, or in other words the Grabber. The axe was just slammed there on to Max's head, and blood dripped from where the axe had cut through.
Avery and Finney let out a frightening scream, tears ran down Avery's cheeks, traumatized by the scene infront of her, and her hand went straight towards her mouth, shocked at the scene but also attempting to cover her sobs. The two teens quickly backed away from the door and the man that had just killed his brother, and their backs hit the wall. There aren't enough words to explain how Avery felt in this moment, she had just seen a man get killed with an axe right infront of her eyes. A literal axe went through a man's head, a man's brain. Avery wanted to erase that memory forever, she kept reliving it as she sobbed.
As she attempted to process what had just happened infront of her, she felt her knees go weak. She couldn't hold herself, it was as if she had no control over her body whatsoever. She reached out to everything around her, trying to keep herself standing, but around her there was only cold, concrete walls. She couldn't hold herself anymore, her legs just gave up, so she just slid down the wall, not noticing that the boy next to her was having a similar reaction to her's. Her eyes followed Max's body as it walked around for a few seconds, but then just fell to the floor, making her flinch at the sudden noise and more tears started falling down her cheeks. But suddenly, she felt a warm hand cover her own. She looked down at her hand and the hand that was ontop of her's and then followed that person's arm and saw Finney. His eyes were wide open, and he breathed heavily, his chest rising everytime he took a breath in. But when their hands touched, they both relaxed, even if it was in the slightest bit, they did, finding comfort in each other's touch once again.
...
Outside the basement police cars rushed to where they needed to go, to try and save the two kids, and maybe if it wasn't too late, save them alive.
After Gwendolyn Blake had rushed home after she had found the house she had been dreaming about, she quickly called Detective Wright, and told him everything. She told him about her dreams, about the house, and how she had found the house, and how she was sure Finney and Avery were inside.
Gwen now waited infront of the house, waiting for the police to get there. And soon, they did. As soon as Detective Wright got to the scene, he quickly got off his car and rushed to talk to the little girl standing infront of the house.
"Is this the house?" The detective asked.
"Yes! I've never seen it before today, except for my dreams. The tree, the door, the adress, the gate, every detail!" The girl exclaimed, desperately trying to help and get the police to do their jobs as fast as they can.
"Okay. Okay, you give us a step back." The detective gestured the girl to move backwards so they could do their jobs.
"Please hurry!" You could tell by the girl's tone in her voice that she was desperate, and she was. She desperately needed to get her brother back to safety, and she wanted Avery to come back with him, alive. She wanted to hug her brother tightly and never let go. She missed him, and this was her final chance to save him.
...
"Look what you two made me do." The Grabber spoke in an emotionless tone, but there was a hint of sadness hidden too. The top half of the Grabber's face was with a mask, but his entire face was covered in blood, the blood from his own family.
"You made me kill my brother." Avery and Finney stared at the lifeless body laying on the floor, eyes widened and mouth opened in shock.
"No. No, it wasn't us! I-" Finney said as he stood up, getting closer to the body.
"He was an idiot. But he was my idiot." The Grabber got closer to his brother's body, looking down at him.
"I'm sorry Max. Now I'm gonna have to put you with the others. Looks like you'll find those naughty boys afterall." The Grabber sighed, not a single drop of pitty in his voice. He didn't care that he killed his brother, not in the slightest.
With difficulty, the Grabber removed the axe from Max's head, and as soon as he did, Avery quickly stood up from the floor, knowing she had to get ready to fight. The Grabber moved around, and as he did, he noticed Finney held the phone once again in his hand.
"What's with the phone? I told you it doesn't work!" But little did he know it did. But that was beside the point, because today, they weren't going to use that phone for any calls, they were going to use the phone to kill him once and for all.
"Normally, I would use a knife. But you guys are special, Finney and Avery. Well, this one is mostly for you, Avery. I want to take my time, I want this to really hurt." Avery felt chills run down her spine, and her entire body froze. The feeling of fear kept getting stronger by the second. Hearing those words come out from the man's mouth was such a horrible feeling, a feeling she had never felt before, and a feeling she would never want to feel again. She held in tears, not wanting to look scared infront of the man that was going to kill her, but she was scared, really scared.
"And I want you, to watch her die." The man said, pointing to Finney with his axe. The young boy felt anger cover all his emotions and thoughts. He wasn't going to let the man hurt Avery, not this time. And he wasn't going to let her die today.
"Samson!" The Grabber called out, not breaking eye contact with the girl in the room. Suddenly, a scary looking dog came down the stairs. He was a very big dog, and he had black fur and green eyes, a chain was wrapped around his neck, probably because he had been locked somewhere since he was an angry dog. The dog barked at the two teens, but none of them flinched, not wanting to show their fear to the man, or to the dog. The Grabber simply smirked menacingly.
The Grabber walked to the side of the room, bringing the dog along with him. The two locked up teens did not take their eyes off him once. The Grabber tied the dog's chain to the wall. With his axe in hand, ready to swing at any moment, he started walking slowly with an evil smirk on his face towards the two teens, one teen in particular, Avery Brown. The man swung the axe, letting out a laugh and closing his eyes as he did so, expecting to feel the texture of a body on the end of his axe, the sound of the axe hitting her body, or even the blood splatting into his face. But instead of feeling any of that, he just felt a solid concrete floor. Avery had dodged the attempt of murder, just when he was about to hit her, she dodged it and went running towards the bathroom, pulling Finney along with him as she did so, just like they had planned.
When they got to the bathroom, there was a carpet on the floor covering the hole that they dug. The two teens quickly jumped over it so they wouldn't fall inside. As soon as they were on the other side of the hole, Finney pulled a string. The Grabber walked towards where the two teens were, he was convinced that he was going to kill two more kids today. As he walked to where the two teens were in the bathroom, he tripped on the string that Finney had pulled, making him fall inside the hole that was hidden under the carpet. As soon as the Grabber fell, his foot hit something hard, the bars of the window that had fallen on top of Finney when he tried to climb the window. The Grabber screamed in pain, Avery was pretty sure she had heard the sound of his ankle cracking due to the impact, but she didn't care. She wanted him to feel pain, and she was glad he was getting what he deserved, but he wasn't going to give up that easily.
The Grabber attempted to grab one of the two teens, but failed miserably, and instead, Finney sent a punch with the phone to his face, just like Robin taught him. The Grabber's head flew back from the impact of the hit, and his nose instantly starting bleeding. The Grabber tried to hit Finney this time, but once again, failed, and in return the Grabber received another punch. But this time, it wasn't from Finney, it was from Avery. The Grabber was surprised when he felt her hand touch his face, she for sure knew how to throw a punch. The Grabber looked at the two teens in disbelief, anger starting to fill his senses. He started yelling, getting ready to throw a punch, again. Damn he's stubborn. Finney simply just threw another punch at his face with the phone, and this time the impact was much harder.
But the Grabber had enough, he wasn't going to let two little kids kill him, no way. Just as Avery was about to throw another punch, the Grabber grabbed her arm, stopping her from punching him. He quickly pulled her down with him inside the hole, and he wouldn't let go. Somehow, he managed to get a knife that was in his back pocket, and with no hesitation, he stabbed the girl in her stomach. Twice. Because of the adrenaline, Avery didn't feel anything for a few seconds, she just felt liquid run down her stomach and legs, which at first she just thought was sweat or something. But when she looked down to where she felt the liquid and where she had been stabbed, the overwhelming feeling of pain came running to her. It didn't feel like she had been stabbed, it just felt like she had been punched in her stomach, very hard. Somehow, Finney hadn't seen that she had gotten stabbed since he was too busy trying to hurt the Grabber and figure out how to get the girl out of his hold. Even though she was in so much pain, she knew she couldn't die today, and she wasn't. So, without thinking, the girl just did the first thing that came to her mind, she took off the Grabber's mask.
She ripped the mask off his face, and it was as if a mood flipped, and his mood changed completely. He instantly let her go, his hands instantly covering his face. He yelled in despair, desperately trying to cover his face so the teens wouldn't see him. Instead of being this huge, scary killer, he was now just a scared little boy, a coward.
Since he had let Avery go, she obviously used the opportunity, the girl got out of the hole as fast as she could, even though she had just been stabbed. Finney offered her hand to the girl and she took it, he didn't know she had been stabbed, he hadn't even noticed. He was too busy getting revenge for her. He punched the Grabber with the phone over again and over again, while Avery sat down, her back pressed against the wall and her hand pressuring the wound. Finney hadn't even noticed that the girl was bleeding through her shirt, he was so focused on hurting the Grabber for everything he had done, and for hurting Avery the entire time they were here, that he forgot about her, he forgot about the one he was supposed to protect. The one he was doing this for.
When Finney was done with the punching, and the Grabber couldn't even see straight from the pain and the blood, he turned to look at Avery, noticing her presence was missing. He looked to his sides, and then to the floor, and thats when he saw her. His breath got caught in his throat as he saw the girl bleed through her clothes and her hand covered in blood. Avery didn't even notice his worried stare, she was too busy trying not to die. Her breathing was faster than ever as she tried to keep her blood inside her body. Her hand shook as she pressed it against the wound, scared for her life. Finney quickly knelt down next to her and grabbed her shoulders.
"Avery! Avery, oh my God!" The boy looked between her eyes and the wound.
"Finn, don't worry, I'm fine." The girl struggled to speak, but she did and she kept trying to relax the boy. Even though they both knew she wasn't fine.
"Avery, you're not fine. We have to get help-"
"Finn, no. We've got to continue the plan." The girl interrupted, groaning as she struggled to get the words out of her mouth due to the pain.
"But, Avery-"
"You have to kill him. Please, Finn." The girl begged in a small whisper, looking into his eyes, tears in her's from the pain. The boy thought over his options, he didn't want to leave the girl, she needed him.
"For me. Please." The girl pleaded as she looked at him with glossy eyes, biting her lip from the pain. Avery needed him to do this. She needed him to kill that man. She didn't want any other kid to go through what she did, so even if it meant she had to die to get that to happen, she would do it. She would risk her life for the safety of others because that's who she is. That's Avery Brown.
Finn hesitated, but he knew he needed to continue with the plan, so with a small nod, he stood up and left the girl to take care of herself.
Finney looked at his hand, and then at the almost unconcious man infront of him. He instantly knew what to do. He got the cable of the phone and put it in between the Grabber's neck. He then jumped to the other side, and started strangling the man. As he did so, Finney thought about everything that made him angry, but the main thought in his head was the Grabber. The Grabber made him angrier than ever and he wanted this man dead. Finney thought about how he had suffered in this basement because of the Grabber, he thought about all the other victims that had to go through what he did and unfortunately didn't make it out alive, and he thought about Avery. The girl that was sitting down a few feet away from him, covered in blood, extremely close to dying because of this man. He was doing this for her.
The Grabber struggled to breathe, trying his best to get a few gasps of air and trying to remove the phone wire that was wrapped around his neck. Suddenly, the telephone started ringing. The three of them turned their heads to the noise. Avery squinted her eyes at the phone, trying to see better, and that's when she saw the phone breathing, once again, just like it had done a few times before.
Finney stopped choking the man with the phone wire, and he knew exactly what to do. He slowly put the phone next to the Grabber's ears, a frightened look on the man's face, while a determined look layed on Finney's face.
"It's for you." Avery knew what was going to happen, even though they hadn't planned this or known this, it was something the boys needed to say to the man that ended their lives.
"Welcome to the nightmare end of your pathetic little life." Spoke Billy Showalter.
"You don't have much time." Laughed Griffin Stag.
"Today's the day, motherfucker!" Shouted Vance Hopper.
"I can't kill you hijo de puta, so Finn is gonna do it for me." Said Robin Arellano.
"Finn's arm is mint!" Excitedly yelled Bruce Yamada. And with that, Finney Blake snapped the Grabber's neck. It had finally ended.
All those kidnappings were finally going to stop. The victims could finally have the peace they needed, and most important of all, the man who made many suffer, was finally dead, and he wasn't coming back.
Finney then rushed to Avery's side, not forgetting that he was doing it for her. The girl's eyes were barely open, and she did her best to try and stay awake, but the feeling of closing her eyes and just falling asleep right there was extremely tempting. Finney put more pressure to the wound, not really knowing what to do.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit! Don't you dare die on me, Avery!" He shouted, tears falling down his cheeks. He didn't know what to do, and he was desperately trying to keep the girl alive. The girl slightly moved.
"F-Finn, you h-have to go." The girl struggled to get the words out of her mouth, as she coughed every time she did so, little drops of blood falling.
Finn put his hand to her mouth, and when he looked at it he saw blood, his heart began to run faster, not knowing what to do that could help save the girl. But he knew one thing, he couldn't leave her, no way.
"No, I'm not leaving you." The boy shook his head, not looking her in the eyes.
"Y-you have to, F-Finn. That was the plan, t-to escape."
"Yeah, the plan was for both of us to escape! I'm not leaving you, Avery!" Finney said, now looking the girl in the eyes, both of them with tears.
"You're coming with me, Aves. I'm not leaving you." He spoke in a soft tone.
He wasn't going to leave her, that was something he was sure of. Avery knew it was no use fighting the boy, she had no strenght for it, and deep down, she didn't really want to die, not after fighting all these days, and doing all those things to stay alive. But before they could just walk out, there was still something they needed to do.
"Stay here and don't move. Please." The boy looked deep into the girl's eyes, holding her hands in his. The caring look in his eyes convinced the girl, and she simply nodded.
Finney rushed to the freezer, while the dog a few feet away kept barking at the teen. Finney grabbed a piece meat from the freezer, and carefully threw it to the angry dog. With no hesitation, the dog quickly went to the corner and began eating the raw meat. Finney rushed back to where Avery was sitting. The girl was mentally begging for her life, applying as much pressure as she could on her wound, the inside of her mouth now filled with blood.
Finney quickly but carefully put his hands on her waist, and began lifting her up.
"Hey, hey, you're okay." The boy whispered, holding in his tears as the girl silently groaned in pain.
The two began leaving the basement, Finney's arms holding the girl as her feet struggled to move. They walked by the two dead bodies, and Avery's stomach turned, her face instantly became pale and she wanted to throw up. Her
