Clint pulled back an arrow to aim it at Kazi at the other end of the ice rink, but he was tackled to the ground by two figures.

You and Yelena skid back on the ground and stood back up, glaring down at the Avenger in front of you.

"Before we kill you," Yelena panted, "We need to ask you one question."

"It's nice to finally meet you both, Y/N, Yelena," Clint spoke knowingly, pushing himself up to his knees.

"We need to know what happened," you inhaled deeply, pushing your emotions down.

Clint cradled his arm against his chest, "Look, Yelena, Y/N, if I told you both what really happened you'd never believe me. But what you need to knowโ€”is your sister sacrificed herself, and she saved the world. I'm sorry."

Yelena shook her head, not buying it, "You're lying."

"What?"

"You're pathetic," Yelena snarled, "You're so pathetic."

In a rush of fury, you took a step forward and kicked his chest with a yell, making Clint fly backward to the ground.

You and Yelena kept taking turns to attack him, but Clint didn't seem to fight back, all he did was block and try to dodge them.

Yelena grabbed him by the shoulders and Clint copied her actions, the blonde still had that fervent look in her eye.

"Nobody killed her. She made a choice," Clint spoke calmly.

"Stop lying!" Yelena yelled and threw him back before flipping him on his back.

You took over and punched him in the face and in the ribs, not losing you rhythm until Clint pulled you back and pressed your back against his chest, an arm draped around your neck to hold you in place.

"You're not listening to me," Clint panted, "She sacrificed herself, understand? I couldn't stop her."

You paused, closing your eyes, it looked as though you were considering his words, but then you shook your head, "No."

You twisted his arm and tugged on the arm he had a grip on, pulling Clint close to yourself and knee his face.

"Why would she sacrifice herself for you?" Yelena asked after Clint regained his posture, "Why do you deserve it?"

"I don't,"

"So she died because you let her,"

You glared down at the Avenger in front of you in pure loathing, pushing yourself up to your feet.

"I fought for it. But she was better than me," Clint replied, his mind replaying the entire scene again.

"You should've fought harder," Yelena grunted, pulling her baton out of her sheath and activating it.

Clint tried to cover his face from the impact, since Yelena was striking him with it without backing down, blow after blow as a cry escaped her lips while doing so.

You kicked his abdomen, panting loudly and taking out your emotions on the man in front of you.

"Wait," Clint tried to stop you both, falling back to the ice rink.

Yelena dropped the baton from her hand, a loud clank following behind as it hit the ground. She grabbed the small gun from her holster on her thigh and took a step towards Clint, aiming the gun at him.  You pulled out your staves and switched on the electrocutor in them, ready to strike.

Unexpectedly, Clint let out a long whistle, that you and Yelena recognized in an instant.

You and Yelena froze on your spots as you instantly backed down with a quiet gasp.

"How do you know that?" Yelena asked, the gun still being held tightly in her hands.

"Your secret whistles with Nat," Clint said, "She talked about you two all the time,"

"She did?" Yelena's voice cracked, seeing how Clint nodded.

"What did she say?" you closed your eyes, letting a tar slide down your left cheek.

"She told me about how you three got separated as kids," Clint elaborated, "She was holding you both closer to herself as Nat flew that plane,"

Yelena's eyes grew heavy with tears, finally listening to Clint's words.

"I asked her if she was scared," he continued, "All she could think about is that you and Yelena were safe. That never changed, Y/N,"

You remembered seeing the endless missed calls from Natasha after you came back from the Blip.

"She loved you both. And always wanted you safe,"

Yelena let out a strangled sob and a tear escaped her eyes, hiding her face from you before.

"It's not fair," You swallowed the sob in your throat, "You got so much time with her,"

"Yes, I did," Clint looked away.

"It shouldn't have gone this way," Yelena's voice quivered, "If I was there, I could have stopped it. I could haveโ€” I could have changed it."

"Nothing was gonna stop her, Yelena," Clint interrupted. "You know Natasha,"

Yelena stifled a sob, her bottom lip quivering.

"She made her choice. We're gonna have to find a way to live with that."

"I loved her so much," Yelena sniffed, her face stretching in a sob. You squeezed your eyes and ducked your head, not wanting to be seen in such a vulnerable state.

"Me too," Clint swallowed the lump in his throat.

Yelena took a deep breath and slowly made her way to him, the gun letting out a quiet click as she set the safety back on. She extended a hesitant hand towards him, and Clint took it gratefully, pulling himself up.

You gave Clint an apologetic look, and he returned it with an incoherent nod.

Clint saw how Yelena walked towards you and pulled you in a side hug comfortingly, as you both made your way out of the ice rink with heavy hearts.
