Clint and Kate had arrived at the party Eleanor was hosting. They had their assets set up all over the place, in case Kingpin's men came for Kate's mom.
Kate had managed to carefully guide her Mom to the kitchen where she would be much safer, compared to the ongoing party.
But suddenly, there was gunfire rained upon. Clint protected himself just in the nick of time by using a metallic tray and urged the people to move away from the windows.
"Clint, who's shooting?" Kate mingled with the crowd, looking for him.
"I have no idea," he replied. He instructed one of them to find Eleanor and he received his bow and arrows set from that person.
Kate was still trying to configure the situation when Grills ordered to kill the lights.
You and Yelena too had arrived at the party, knowing that this was your best shot at taking down Barton.
Seeing him head away from the crowd, you and Yelena exchanged a look. Yelena followed after him, while you took another way to get to him so that you could surround him.
"Oh shit," Kate muttered, noticing Yelena jog after Clint into a hallway.

Yelena was waiting for the elevator after pressing the button, clasping her hands in front of her. She heard a couple of footsteps behind her and a familiar archer joined her side.
"So, I know you're chummy with my mom," Kate sauntered over, "I didn't think you'd make the cut for the Christmas party,"
"Kate Bishop," Yelena dragged her name out with a smirk, "I'm not here to ruin anything. I'm just going to kill Barton, have some appetizers with my sister, and then we'll go,"
Kate stared at her for a few seconds, "I hope you enjoy the bruschetta, 'cause it looks like you already lost him,"
"He's in the elevator," she pointed out.
"Yeah, what, out of 65 floors, you think you're just gonna magically guess which one he's on?"
There was a 'ding' sound at that exact moment, displaying the floor number that the elevator stopped on.
"Twelfth floor," Yelena chirped.
"Damn it," Kate cursed under her breath.
"Enjoy the party," she shot one last smile at Kate and stepped into the elevator.
Blinking in contemplation, Kate tried to follow her.
"No, no, Kate, stay," Yelena pushed her back and made her stand out of the elevator.
But just before the door could close completely, Kate squeezed into the elevator.
"Ah," Yelena let out a groan, not pleased with her action.
Kate sneaked a glance at the elevator buttons and tried to reach toward them.
"No," Yelena smacked her hand away.
She whined quietly and pulled her hand back. Taking another look at the blonde beside her, she tried to move forward to press other buttons of the elevator, but Yelena caught her arm and pushed her down by her back, making her spin around and return to her place.
Silence filled the elevator again as Yelena and Kate remained silent, keeping their peripheral attention on each other.
When Kate reached for the buttons again, Yelena caught her wrist and pulled her pulled to the ground. She dragged her back in such a way that she wasn't close to the elevator buttons.
In the heat of the moment, Kate stumbled back up to her feet and slapped Yelena right across the face.
"What was that?!" the blonde stared at her in stagger.
"I don't know," Kate spluttered. She took the opportunity to get back to the elevator buttons.
"No! No. No, no, no!" Yelena tried to tug her back away, but Kate's clothes began to come apart, "Oh, my God, what is happening?"
Kate spun in her place as her formal attire tore into shreds, to reveal the archery uniform she was wearing underneath.
"Oh," she smiled slightly, pointing to her outfit modestly.
"Did you plan that?" Yelena questioned her.
"Yes," Kate's smile fell when the blonde raised her eyebrows, "No, no, Iโ" she was swift to press all the buttons of the elevator so that it wouldn't stop at the 12th floor.
"No, no!" Yelena groaned, "Come on, that is so annoying," she ditched Kate's clothes on the floor and removed her own green coat to reveal the Black Widow suit she was wearing underneath, "ััะบะฐ," she grumbled at the archer and tossed the coat at her. (Translation: bitch)
As soon as the elevator door opened, Yelena jogged out of it and Kate was quick to follow after her, determined to not let Yelena get to Clint.
Yelena continued to sprint through the corridor, until you appeared through the fire exit, panting for breath.
"Ah, there she is," your sister muttered sarcastically, "What took you so long, genius?"
"I got distracted,"
"What do you mean?" she frowned, "Kate is right here," she jabbed a thumb behind her back.
You rolled your eyes at this, "Appetizers. I had some appetizers on my way up,"
Yelena stared at you in mock-betrayal, "Traitor,"
The sounds of footsteps caught your attention and you and Yelena noticed Kate gaining distance toward you both.
"We are not done with this conversation," Yelena flicked your forehead, gaining an 'ow' from you. With that, she took off, set and determined to kill Barton.
Kate slowed down once she reached you, "Oh, hello, Y/N," she gave you a quick smile.
"Good to see you, Kate," You mirrored her expression.
You caught Kate's shoulders when she tried to move past you and trusted her back and away when she tried to follow Yelena.
"So, we're doing this, huh?" Kate pursed her lips together.
"Yep," you nodded.
You and Kate began to combat each other as you made your way through the corridor, trying to bring the other down.
You rolled over a couch and Kate skipped over an ottoman. Kate grabbed you by your hips and pushed you back. You snatched the lamp off the table and swung it at her.
Kate ducked just in time to avoid it and knocked it off your hold, making it fall and shatter behind you.
You jumped over the desk; Kate hurried towards the doorway and blocked the way, making you give her a look.
"You know," she lifted her shoulders in a shrug, panting, "I like you," she paused, "And you like me, right?"
"Yeah," you nodded casually, taking a moment to catch your breath.
"Wait, you do?" Kate blinked at you, "Like actually like- like me? For real?"
"Yeah,"
"Wow," Kate muttered to herself, "I was not expecting that. Okay, then, what are we doin'? I mean, it's Christmas Eve. Let's grab a drink, huh?"
You jerked your head to the side, "Sure,"
"Cool,"
"I'm down, yeah,"
"Uh-huh," Kate grinned hopefully.
"After Yelena and I kill Barton," You completed.
The archer's expression dropped at this, "No. No, no, no, That's not what Iโ" she stammered, "Come on! You don't need toโ"
Growing impatient, you kicked her back, making her fall to the ground with an 'oomph'.
You tried to run past her, but Kate caught your arm. You twisted her arm and pressed her face against the glass window, dragging her against it.
"Kate, where are you?" Kate heard Clint through the comms when she stumbled back from your blow.
"Yep, gimme a minute," the archer grunted when you delivered a kick to her shins. She got hold of the file from the table nearby and aimed it at your head.
You avoided it just in time and pushed her back into an armchair, making it fall back.
You ran around the furniture and set your eyes on the window at the far end of the room. You pulled out your batons and charged them.
Kate was right at your tail and released a weapon, that hit your palm and broke right through the window in front of you.
"Ow!" You shook your palm as a throbbing pain crawled up your hand, "That really hurts!"
"Yeah, yeah, well, so did the kick to the ribs," Kate gestured at her body where you had kicked her down.
"Oh, well," you shrugged, "That was a good one," you complimented, "And I saw you do the really cool body throw,"
"Yeah, thank you. Thank you. Yeah," Kate beamed at you, "Stop making me like you more than I already do," she pointed a finger at you.
"Can't help it," you responded cheekily, "That was really fun. Bye," you shot out a grappling hook out of your hand and attached it to the side of your suit. Holding onto the rope, you jumped out of the window, running down the building.
Kate mouthed wordlessly as she rushed to the window and watch you approach the window Clint was at, "Clint!" she yelled out in alarm.
The Avenger pressed on the cooms to reply, "Was that you?"
"It's Y/N! Watch out!"
Just on time, you appeared from the top of the building, holding out your pistol as you fired blind shots at your target. Clint moved to the side to avoid your shots.
You skid on the side of the building as you held onto the rope and sneaked a glance towards the ground.
Clint peeped out of the window again, but when you fired your gun at him, he stepped back from the window altogether.
With a slight push from the building, you landed on the ground with a huff, feeling the wind blow your strands of hair.
You locked eyes with Kate one last time on the top of the building, before you sprinted away from the scene.
