LUNA RAN THROUGH THE FOREST AS SHE FOLLOWED Boyd's scent. The scent was much stronger meaning she was closer, halting her movements she spotted him. She silently gasped noticing he tore through a metal shed from the sole of the ground, leaving two children defenseless.

She looked around trying to find a distraction for him when a source of lights caught her eyes. She quickly grabbed the mason jar filled with fireflies before rolling it towards Boyd.

The werewolf looked down at the jar in wonder, just on cue, the fireflies swarmed out making Boyd look up. Luna smirked as her plan worked, she sped over to the children, picking them up effortlessly and getting them to a safe place.

"You're okay now. You're safe." Luna sent a comforting smile to them as she crouched down to their height. They still looked a bit frightened but more relaxed. Luna's phone began to vibrate making her pull it out and answer it.

"Are you okay?" Derek's voice blared through the phone.

"I'm okay. But I've lost Boyd, I kind of had to." Luna replied looking around the forest making sure Boyd was no where close.

"Wasn't exactly the plan." Derek said making her sigh.

"I know, which is why we need to stick together. He's too strong, too fast, and way too angry. Call Scott. We need to meet." Luna's protective mother voice began to seep making Derek slightly smirk at the tone.

"Okay, I'm at the trails by the entrance to the preserve. We can meet here." Derek suggested making her agree.

"Yeah, I'll be there in the minute." Luna said before she hung up the call and looking at the now relaxed kids. "Now, let's get you kids home."

ONCE SHE LEFT THE CHILDREN BACK HOME AND erasing their memories of what they had seen that night, she met with the other two wolfs and ran through the woods, trying to spot for Boyd and Cora. The three paused as they spotted several footprints matching the wolfs.

"Is that them?" Scott asked, making Derek examine them. "We're not the only ones that decided to stick together."

"Is that gonna make it easier or harder to catch them?" The teen asked from beside his sister. Derek looked around the forest keeping his eyes out, "I don't know."

"Derek." Luna called for her boyfriend making his attention he towards her. She frowned at the memory of the two kids she had saved, "Boyd almost tried to rip two children apart. Are they going to do this to everyone they find?"

He knew her mind was drifting off as she thought of Hope, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Everyone and anyone."

He wrapped his arm around her waist leading her down the path. The sound of a scream is what made Luna stop walking, Derek looked at her in confusion. Her eyes snapped to where the sound was coming from, "I know where they are."

She sped away from them leaving the both of them to run after her, Isaac joining soon after. Spotting Cora standing in front of a girl that was camping, she looked completely terrified at Cora's supernatural appearance.

Luna's footsteps made Cora turn away from the girl and focus on the hybrid, letting her fangs show she released a growl. The two sprinted towards each other but Luna pushed her body into a tree before the younger Hale could scratch her. Derek roared at his sister making her return it but made no move to attack instead ran away.

The hybrid sped after her but she couldn't manage to catch up, their speed was matched up to hers or a bit more for the rest of the full moon. She huffed when she came to a stop knowing she had lost the rabid wolf.

"I lost her." Luna stated as the three other werewolves caught up to her. Derek frowned looking at his girlfriend place a hand on her forehead, he approached her letting her body rest on his while Scott answered his phone.

"Are you sure?" Scott frowned at Stiles' words.

"Yup." He breathed out through the phone. "Throat ripped out, blood everywhere. It's like the frickin' shining over here. Two little girls come out the woods, start asking me to play with them forever and ever, I'm not gonna be surprised."

Luna grinned softly at Stiles' words even when he's at a crime scene, he still manages to joke. "Can you get a little closer to make sure it was them?"

"Make sure it was them? Scott, who else is going around ripping throats out?" Stiles asked sarcastically with furrowed brows.

"Please, just do it." Scott sighed. Silence filled the air once Scott ended the phone call, Stiles claimed it was them that did kill the innocent teenager at the pool.

Derek shook his head before scoffing, "This doesn't make any sense. The public pool is all the way on the other side of the woods. We haven't tracked them anywhere near them."

Luna nodded agreeing with her boyfriend's words. "I agree with Derek. We managed to just see Cora, it's not possible. This doesn't feel right, something else killed that boy and I don't have a good feeling about it."

"Guys, they killed someone." Scott pointed out but Derek didn't listen, "How are they moving so fast?"

"Derekβ€”"

"But they can't be that fast on foot." He snapped making Scott break the alpha out of his state, "They killed someone. Some totally innocent kid is dead. . . And it's our fault."

Derek shook his head, "It's my fault." He corrected.

"We need help." Scott suggested. The alpha nodded his head over to Isaac, "We have Isaac now."

Luna's brother sent him a pointed look, "I mean real help." Isaac frowned at his words but said nothing, Scott fixed his words seeing the look on his face. "They're too fast for us. Luna can catch up to them but she won't be able to hold them both."

She nodded, "They're too strong, and too rabid."

"We'll catch them." Her boyfriend shortly said. Isaac looked in between the three, "What happens if we do? We just gonna hold them down until the sun comes up?"

Derek contemplated in his head his options but they were all to risky for everyone, he looked down at his shoes. "Maybe it would be easier just to kill 'em."

"Killing them isn't the right thing to do." Scott shook his head. Isaac picked up his head glancing at the other wolf, "What if it's the only thing to do?"

Their heads snapped in his direction making him continue, "If we can't even catch them, what else do we do?"

Luna's mind drifted off to the one person that would knows exactly what they would do if they were caught in a situation like this, "Find someone who knows what they're doing."

"Who?" Derek furrowed his eyebrows making Luna smirk, "Someone who knows how to hunt werewolves.

LUNA SAT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OF DEREK'S car with Isaac sitting behind her and Derek beside her. She turned her gaze from Scott talking with Chris down to her phone replying to the picture Rebekah sent of Hope. Showing her screen to Derek, he smiled at the picture of her making a duck face.

"Do you think this gonna work?" Isaac stuck his head in between the two. Derek shook his head, "Nope."

Luna snatched her phone back sending her boyfriend a look. Isaac sighed nodding in agreement, "Me neither." She turned her face to send a look to beta also making him clear his throat.

"It will work." She glared before looking down at her phone again.

The beta nodded smacking his lips, "So your, uhβ€”your sister . . ." The alpha slowly looked over to Isaac along with Luna shaking her head at her friend. He got the message, "Sorry, yeah, it's. . ." He cleared his throat. "It's a bad timing, I'm sorry.

Derek turned around trying to ignore what he said. "I'll ask later. It's fine."

Luna sighed when her boyfriend turned around looking in the backseat with his brows raised. Isaac's heart began to beat faster as he nodded, "Or never. Yeah, yeah, I'm good with never."

Derek nodded in agreement, he glanced over to his girlfriend who had a smirk on her face. He narrowed his eyes, "What?"

She looked over to him trying to her hide her smile but failed, "Just imagine when our daughter introduces you to her first partner." He frowned at the thought of their daughter one day would get older and start to date, he shook his head.

"Never happening." Luna rolled her eyes at his protectiveness over their baby. "It's so going to happen."

SCOTT MANAGED TO CONVINCE CHRIS TO TRACK both, Cora and Boyd. She stood in front of the hunter with her arms crossed as he dropped his bag right in front of them. "You're tracking them by print?"

"Trying to." Scott replied eyeing the footprint in front of him along with the hunter. "Well then, you've been wasting your time. There's only one creature on earth that can visually track footprints, and that's man. And if you're not trained like me, you have no idea that this print is Boyd'sβ€”"

He pointed to the footsteps in front of Isaac, "and thoseβ€”"

"are Cora's." Isaac interrupted him, pointing in front of himself.

"Nope. They're yours." Chris corrected making the beta frown looking down at the footsteps and his shoes. "You trampled Cora's as soon as you walked over here."

"Listen, I know the four of you are focusing half your energy on resisting your own urges under the full moon. But that put you at a severe disadvantage to Boyd and Cora, who have fully given in. They put the peddle to the floor where you four are barley hitting the speed limit." Luna looked up at the full moon since her vampire side is intact with her she can shift to her werewolf side whenever she pleases from what Klaus had taught her.

"So what do we do?" Derek breathed out.

"Focus on your sense of smell. Actual wolves are known to track their prey by up to a hundred miles a day by scent. A trained hunter can use scent to track them." He explained, "If the wind is with them, wolves can track a scent by a distance of two miles, which means we can draw them to us. Or into a trap."

Chris tossed a net from his bag towards Scott, "Full moon does give us one advantage. They'll have a higher heat signature which makes them easier to spot with infrared."

He reached into his bag once more before tossing them night vision goggles with infrared, Luna caught hers with ease. She looked down at the headgear before looking to Derek who tossed his back, "Thanks, but I've got my own."

He flashed his alpha red eyes making Luna roll her eyes, "Dramatic." She quietly sang out catching his attention, she sent him a wink before turning back to Chris.

"Just remember, we're not hunting wild animals. Underneath those impulses are two intelligent human beings. Don't think they can't rely on that human side. It's suppressed, but it's there. Reminding them how to mask their scent, how to cover their tracks, how to survive." He explained before walking off with the others towards the cliff showing the town of Beacon Hills.

"When's the last time you saw your sister?" Chris asked the alpha. Luna glanced at her boyfriend watching as he answered, "Nine years. I thought she died in the fire."

"Do you feel like you have a lock on her scent?" The hunter asked hoping he would but his hope faded when Derek shook his head. He glanced towards her younger brother, "Scott, how confident are you in your skills?"

Scott released a soft scoff, "Honestly, most of the time, I'm trying not to think about all the things I can smell."

Chris released a long breath before nodding, "Alright. The problem is when they breach the woods and hit the residential area. Once they're pass the high school, their right in the middle of Beacon Hills."

"They're not gonna kill everything they see, are they?" Isaac questioned looking between the group.

"No. But there is an important difference to recognize. Wolves hunt for food, at a certain point, they get full." Chris explained looking down at the ground. "Boyd and Cora are hunting for the pleasure of the kill, for some primal apex predatory satisfaction that comes from the ripping of arm bodies to bloody shreds. And who knows when that need gets satiated?"

"We can't kill them." Scott stated making everyone's sight look to him.

"What if we can't catch them?" Derek pointed out. "Then maybe we just need to contain them."

That's when an idea popped into Luna's brain, she looked towards her brother, "There's no one in the school at night, right?"

The alpha looked towards his girlfriend having a feeling about where she was going at, "You want to trap them inside?"

Chris understanding where her idea was going spoke, "If there's somewhere with a strong enough door, no window or access to the outside. Luna can hold down the door with her strength."

"What about the boiler room? It's just one big steel door." Isaac pointed out making Luna glance at the hunter. "You're sure the school's empty?"

Scott nodded, "It has to be. There can't be anyone there this late, right?"

CHRIS STABBED A METAL ROD INTO THE GROUND catching Luna's attention, "These are ultrasonic emitter. It's one of tools we use to corral werewolves pushing them into a direction we want them to run."

He pressed down on the metal button releasing a high-pitched sound making the wolves grip onto their ears trying to block out the painful noise. Chris not noticing their behavior continued, "Gives off a high-pitched frequency that only they can hear."

"God, no kidding." Isaac grunted making Chris pick his head up where he finally saw the wolves gripping on their ears. He immediately turned it off making Luna sigh in relief. The group made their way towards the back off the truck where he handed each of them two of the ultrasonic emitters.

"These are gonna drive them to the school?" Derek questioned looking at the metal rods. Chris nodded confirming his question, "And then it's up to you to get them to the basement."

Isaac paused before looking at the group, "Does anyone else want to rethink the plan where we just, uh, kill 'em?"

Luna sent him a look before replying, "It's going to work." The other two wolves sent her looks making Scott confirm her words, "It'll work."

She sent her brother a thankful look before looking down at the two metal rods, her eyes moving up towards the group. "See you guys at the school."

And with those words she sped away from the men. She managed to make it back to the school in a records time, she was able to place one of the ultrasonic emitters on a tree exiting the woods and another by the school sign.

Waiting for the others she decided to take out her phone to call Rebekah. She pressed on the contact name and within the first ring she answered. "How's the wolf-hunting going?"

Luna sighed looking down at her shoes, "Hopefully caught soon. How's Hope?"

Instead of Rebekah replying the sound of her daughter's voice filled the phone, "Hi, Mama." Luna's heart swelled at the sound of her daughter's voice.

"Hi baby. Mama misses you." The hybrid spoke into the phone before frowning. She missed Hope a lot, she was just lucky Rebekah was able to stay in Beacon Hills with the two.

"She misses you too. Be safe out there." Rebekah wished her making Luna nod and the two ended the phone call. It didn't take long for the others arrive to the school planting their metal rods onto the ground around the building.

"Do you see that?" Chris asked making the McCall siblings follow his eyes towards glowing fireflies. Luna nodded, "They're fireflies."

Chris frowned and nodded, his mind began to wander at the bugs. "No, no, I know, itβ€”"

"What?" Scott asked making his eyes flicker between theirs, "It's, uhβ€”It's very unusual. The, uh, California fireflies aren't bio-luminescent."

Luna looked towards the glowering firflies with a frown before looking towards her brother who had a confused look, "They don't glow."

"Does that mean something?" Something in Luna's gut told her something wasn't right, she knew something was coming other than the alpha pack. Something worse. But before either of them could reply to Scott's question they were cut off by howls in the distant.

"They're coming."

And with that everyone took off to their places. Luna ran a bit further past the boiler room where she waited to trap them. It was only a matter of time she heard their growls getting closer and she could see them in her view. Derek slammed Cora against the locker before tossing her onto the ground beside Boyd.

Scott and Chris stood beside Derek blocking their exit making the wolves turn the other way to run towards the other exit but was met with Luna at the end of the hall, her fangs bared and her amber eyes meeting theirs.

"Come and get us." Derek announced to the two wolves catching their attention as they ran down the steps towards the boiler room. Luna followed the two down the stairs waiting for them to rush out that way the brunette could close the door.

She could hear the sound of the fire extinguishers being
